Inside you will nd many helpful ps on how to use and maintain your dehumidier eciently. Just a lile preventave care can
save you money and prolong the life of your dehumidier.
The purpose of the dehumidier is to remove the excess moisture in the air by detecng the humidity level in the room. By
keeping humidity within recommended levels, a dehumidier combats
household damp, mould and mildew. Dehumidiers can help to reduce the symptoms of asthma, allergies, and other respiratory
health condions. They can also be used to help dry laundry quicker and control moisture-based damage (such as the aermath
of ooding, leaks or rising damp) to
valuable belongings and furniture.
HUMIDITY GUIDE
There will always be water vapour in the air. The water vapour (or commonly known as moisture) in the air is measured in
Relave Humidity (RH) %. RH is the rao of the actual amount of water vapour in the air to the amount it could hold when
saturated expressed as a percentage. Too much or too lile moisture in our homes can be unhealthy and uncomfortable. The
opmum humidity level is
between 40% and 60% (RH) where we feel most comfortable.
Low humidity
Low humidity indoors causes excess drying which can trigger skin irritaons such as eczema, chapped skin and dry nose. It can
also damage possessions, such as wooden furniture, musical instruments and artwork by drying it out too much.
High humidity
High humidity indoors causes damp and condensaon. The damp le by condensaon can damage plaster, wall paper, furniture,
vehicles, mber windows, doors and clothes. It can be harmful to our health when bacteria thrives, causing mould and fungus.
Maintaining safe levels of humidity
It is important to maintain a consistent humidity range to preserve furniture, painngs, door and
window frames. High humidity causes swelling, corrosion, soening of glues and paint. Low
humidity causes shrinking, cracking, warping of wood surfaces and gaps in joints, doors and windows.
Frequent changes in humidity levels can accelerate damages to property and belongings.
Condensaon
The warmer the air, the more moisture the air can hold than colder air. So, when the air inside the house becomes colder, the
moisture contents in the air becomes saturated, and gets heavier
resulng in moisture concentraon on the coldest parts of the house parcularly on the windows, bathroom mirrors and walls.
This is condensaon, caused by a sudden increase in humidity, cooking, showers, drying clothes, inadequate venlaon and poor
thermal insulaon.
Condensaon does not disappear instantly even with the dehumidier on. Where excessive condensaon appears for example,
on your windows, you may want to open your windows to expel the excess humidity for several minutes. It will take a while for
the condensaon to generally increase the humidity in the room. Once the humidity level in the room around the dehumidier
is increased above the level you have set on the dehumidier, it will then begin the dehumidicaon process.

Use this appliance only as described in this instrucon manual. As with any electrical appliances,
the instrucons aim to cover as many situaons as possible, cauon and common sense should
be used when operang and installing this appliance. This appliance is intended for dehumidi-
caon in domesc and light commercial use only.
• Do not alter or modify the appliance’s characteriscs in any way. Should repairs be necessary,
contact EcoAir’s Authorised Service Centre. Self-servicing or unauthorised servicing can be
dangerous.
• The appliance must be installed in accordance with the relevant naonal legislaon.
• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilies, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instrucon concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Children and pets should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance If the power cable, cord is damaged It must be replaced by an
EcoAir’s Authorised Service Centre.
• The appliance must always be placed in an upright posion on an even level surface to avoid
any damage, during use or transportaon and when put into storage.
• The appliance must be plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet and ensure that the voltage
matches the rated specicaons. If in doubt, check with a qualied technician.
• Do not use with extension cables or mul sockets. Do not pull or place strain on the power
cord when moving appliance.
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance or when not in use.
• The appliance must not be placed or used where the atmosphere may contain combusble
gasses, oil or sulphur or solvent, or near heat sources (such as heaters or in server rooms) or
excessive dust.
• Do not place or rest any objects on the appliance and do not cover while in use. Always ob-
serve the minimum room size for storing and operang the appliance.
• Allow a minimum of 50 cm clearance top + front of the appliance and 20 cm on the side. Do
not place any objects in close proximity to the appliance.
• Filter must be cleaned every 2 weeks to avoid dust building up internally causing overheang
and malfuncon.
• To protect against electric shocks, do not immerse or spray the appliance or any of its parts in
water.
• Ensure the air inlet and outlet are not blocked or covered when in use.
• Do not insert ngers or any objects into the air inlet or outlet openings.
• Do not operate or store the appliance under direct sunlight.
• Always switch of the power before unplugging from the socket.
• Do not leave the appliance running or plugged in over a long period of me unaended. Leav-
ing unaended electrical appliances running is unsafe.
• Always make sure your hands are dry when operang the appliance.
• Only operate the appliance within the specied operang temperature range.
• Do not run power cord under carpeng, or cover with rugs or runners. Arrange the cord away
from areas where it may become a trip hazard.
• This appliance must not be used outdoor.
• This appliance must be installed by a Cered electrical installer in all wet rooms, bathroom,
indoor pools and zoned to IP24.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WHERE TO POSITION YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER?
Ensure the unit is a safe distance away from any
wall or furniture and from direct sunlight.
TIP: Posion the dehumidier in the dampest area
or somewhere central like a landing or a hallway.
As long as the internal doors are open the excess
moisture from all of the rooms in the area will
migrate naturally towards the dehumidier and be
processed.
HOW TO WALL MOUNT THE DEHUMIDIFIER
1. Drill 2 holes of 8mm diameter and at least
60mm depth.
2. Insert the two (B1) raw bolts through the
bracket and x into the holes by fastening
the nuts.
3. The (B2) mounng bracket should be hori-
zontal. (Holes in the same height) For accu-
racy use a spirit level.
4. Make sure the bracket and the unit is rmly
mounted.
5. If necessary, apply a further 3 screws on the
bracket.
6. Make sure the unit is even-level on the wall
bracket to avoid water leak or noise.
Note: Ensure the wall strength is sucient for the
weight of the dehumidier. Two persons needed
to install the dehumidier on the wall.
HOW TO INSTALL CASTORS?
For ease of movement, replace the 4 rubber pads
with the 4 (B8) castors. See the following instruc-
on:
1. Lay down the dehumidier (face up).
2. Remove 2 screws from each rubber pad and
replace with the (B8) castor wheel and se-
cure back with the 2 screws.
CAUTION
• Only use in a room with a minimum size of
35m².
• Never use in close proximity to an open re-
place or heat source such as heater, tumble
dryer, cooker.
• Never use in a dusty environment or building
sites where parcles can clog up the lter and
the internal components. This will cause
malfuncon, voiding your warranty.

INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION OF FRONT DOOR
By default, the opening hangs on the le side. You can swap it to the right as below:-
1. With the door open, remove the 4 screws that secure both the hinge.
2. Rotate the door 180° and fasten the hinges to the opposite side with the screws. (Pic 1)
3. Remove the 4 drain plugs (B4) (acng as cushions) to the opposite side. (Pic 2)
INSTALLATION OF FILTER
There are two lters provided with the dehumidier.
1. The (A7) Pre-Filter is factory-installed in the dehumidier.
2. The (B7) Carbon lter can be used in addion to the Pre-Filter (Purchase Separately).
Note:
Make sure the packaging has been removed before installaon of the carbon lter.
Carbon lters are most eecve at removing chlorine, volale organic compounds (VOC) and
odours.

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE OPTION (Hose and Hose Connector Not Included)
Connuous drainage can be installed from the le or right hand side of the dehumidier.
Step 1 - Remove both (A6) water tanks Step 2 - Remove (B3) drain duct from the
le hand side of the water tanks
Step 3 - Choose the required side and open the hole cover accordingly.

Step 7 - When running on connuous drainage, the second drain lever that is not used for the
drain duct must be blocked o using the extra drain plug to stop water draining into the tank.
Step 5 - Open drain lever and align the end of (B3) drain duct into the holes above the water
tanks compartment. Make sure (B3) drain duct is securely clipped in.

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE OPTION (Hose Not Included)
Be aware that the following needs to be purchased for the connuous drain opon:
1) Tread Tap Connector : The size 1/2" - 3/4" (12.4 - 19mm)
2) Hose End Connector: The size 1/2" - 5/8" (12.5" - 15.5mm)
3) The drain hose
TIPS:
• Take the drain duct (B3) to the hardware store to nd the correct connectors
• Go to help.ecoair.org/knowledge and search “Connuous drainage for my Ecoair Droid”
Step 9 - Using a garden hose connector, screw into the drain duct (B3) and the hose for connu-
ous drainage. Ensure the hose is not kinked and is draining downward to avoid leakage.

CONTROL PANEL
1. Power Key - Turn unit on ON/OFF.
2. Humidity Seng - Select the required humidity.
3. Mode - Select LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH for dehumidicaon power
4. Timer - Press to switch ON / OFF and then to select 2-hourly intervals up to
22 hours. (Refer page 12).
5. Daily Timer Memory (E10-cYc) - Daily repeat mer opon (Refer page 12).
6. Temperature - Press this buon to display temperature in °C & °F or relave
humidity (% RH).
7. Control Panel LED Display - The display indicates current sengs and actual
humidity.
8. Water Full - Indicator lights up when the water tank is full or incorrectly in-
stalled for each tank as denoted by L (le tank) and R (right tank).
9. Check Indicator - Indicator lights up when the unit needs aenon.

 During the operaon, point the remote control towards the appliance not more
than 6 meters away.
 Make sure there is no obstacles between the remote control and the appliance.
 Remote control signal may be interfered within the room where there is
wireless telephone, uorescent lamp.
 When appliance is not in use for a long me, please remove baeries.
 If there is no communicaon from the remote control, please replace baeries.

TEMPERATURE AND FAN SETTING
TEMPERATURE ON LED DISPLAY
The display shows temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit or RH (Relave Humidity)
• RH (Relave Humidity)
• Celsius degree °C
• Fahrenheit °F
FAN SETTING
Runs on low fan speed + low heang
Runs on medium fan speed + medium heang and will reduce to low automacally,
when required.
Runs on high fan speed + high heang and will reduce to medium or low automacally, when required.
HUMIDITY SETTING
In all humidity sengs your Droid unit has an inbuilt energy saving mode whereby once the set humidity
is reached the unit will go into a power saving mode. If The Droid detects the humidity rise above the set
requirements it will automacally turn back on and resume funcon.
In certain scenarios, the humidity of the room your unit is posioned in may dier from the rest of your
property. To tackle this we have included a built in sampling mode whereby in the energy saving mode if
the Droid does not detect any changes in humidity it will run its fan every hour for 5 minutes. The fan
will circulate the air around the room geng a more precise reading of the humidity in your
environment. If the Droid detects the humidity is below the desired requirement it will then go back into
its energy saving mode with the sampling mode repeang in an hours me.
The droid dehumidier is capable of dehumidicaon down to 20% RH. Ensure that the seng is select-
ed for the appropriate requirement. For human comfort, please select between 40% RH to 60% RH.

TIMER
TIMER - ONE OFF TIMER SETTING
There are 11 mer opons that can be set:
2hr - 4hr - 6hr - 8hr - 10hr - 12hr - 14hr - 16hr - 18hr - 20hr - 22 hr
In order to set your Timer you must rst select your desired fan speed as well as humidity seng.
Then set the mer for a certain number of hours for that day. The dehumidier will run for the set hours
then will switch o. As this is a manual mer seng, the dehumidier needs to be switched on when
required.
Note:
If the actual humidity of your environment falls below the humidity set on your Droid then the unit will
proceed to its energy saving mode and display PAU on the digital display.
If the mer is not switched on at all, the dehumidier will run connuously.
CYCLE DAILY TIMER (E10) - MEMORY TIMER
The Cycle Daily Timer is a memory mer which will operate on a daily basis from the moment it is set.
For example:
If you set your mer for 4 hrs the dehumidier will run for 4 hours then switch o. Aer 20 hrs the
unit will run again automacally for 4 hrs. This will carry on unl the Cycle Daily Timer seng is
changed or switched o.
In order to set up Cycle Daily Timer you must rstly set the Humidity Fan Speed & Timer to your de-
sired requirement and then simply press the Cycle Daily Timer buon.
Note:
If the actual RH humidity of your environment falls below the RH humidity set on your Droid then the
unit will proceed to its energy saving mode and display PAU on the digital display.
In the case of a power failure the Cycle Daily Timer will be reset.
The Cycle LED will ash if there is a power failure during this seng.

EMPTYING THE WATER TANK
1. The Water Full Indicator lights up when the water tank is full. When both
lights are indicated the dehumidier stops operang as both tanks are full.
2. Do not move the dehumidier or remove the water tank when the dehu-
midier is running, as water may leak; causing damage to the dehumidier
or an electric shock.
3. Before removing the water tank leave the dehumidier to stand for approxi-
mately 10 minutes to ensure all water has dripped into the water tank.
NOTE :
• Clean the water tank with clean water if needed. Do not use deter-
gent, solvents, abrasives or hot water to avoid damaging the water
tank or oat.
• Do not remove or damage the oat in the water tank or the dehu-
midier will not operate properly.
• The Water Full light indicator illuminates if the water tank is not
correctly in posion.
• Do not lt the dehumidier when removing the water tank.
• If the water tank is removed whilst the dehumidier is running the
fan will connue to run for 3 minutes.

Step 1) To remove the water tank, slide it out gently by gripping the water tank from
boom cutaway and pull out carefully.
Step 2) Li the tank with both hands each on the handle and supporng the base
with the other hand
Step 3) Pour the water away by lng the water tank to the right side. Clean the
water tank if needed.
Step 4) Reinsert the water tank to the correct posion, as soon as possible to prevent
water dripping from the dehumidier.
Step 5) Insert the water tank back to the correct posion.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE & STORING THE APPLIANCE
STEP 1 - CLEANING YOUR PRE-FILTER (A7)
1. Turn OFF the dehumidier and remove the
lter from the unit.
2. Clean the lter with a brush or vacuum
cleaner.
3. Reinsert the lter back into posion.
4. If the lter is covered with dust, the airow
and the performance of the dehumidier will
be aected. Check the lter periodically to
ensure all dust is removed.
Tip: Clean your lter every 2 weeks to keep your
air clean and prolong the life of your
dehumidier. The frequency will depend on con-
dions of operaon.
STEP 3- CLEANING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER
1. Turn the dehumidier OFF, wait for the fan to
stop and unplug the unit from the socket.
2. Clean the surface with a so damp cloth.
3. Dry thoroughly with a towel aer cleaning.
4. Empty the water tank. Allow water tank to
drip dry or dry with a cloth.
Cauon:
• Do not wash the unit or immerse in water.
• Do not let water drip into the air inlet or
outlet.
STEP 2 - REPLACING YOUR CHARCOAL FILTER (B7)
It is recommended that the (B7) charcoal lter is
replaced 3 - 6 months for opmal performance
and hygiene standards. To purchase a replacement
lter please visit: www.ecoair.org
STEP 4 - STORING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER
1. Turn o the dehumidier, wait for the fan to
stop and unplug the dehumidier from the
power socket.
2. Leave the dehumidier to drain for
approximately one day. Clean and dry the
water tank.
3. Clean the lter and the dehumidier. Cover
the dehumidier to prevent it from
gathering dust. Store upright in a cool dry
place.
4. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Dehumidifying
• The dehumidier stops when it “lts” or
falls down.
• Unplug, check if there is any damage to
the dehumidier, if there is no damage
plug back in.
• “Pau” (pause) or “Fan” shown when the
humidity reaches the desired seng.
• The dehumidier will run in an energy
saving mode with an inbuilt sampling
mode occurring every hr.
• This is an energy saving design. The
dehumidier will return to work when
the humidity goes 5% higher than the
current humidity seng.
• The dehumidier stops dehumidifying
when the temperature rises higher than
43°C (only the fan will run) or lower
than -8°C (here the fan will stop and
temperature will be ashing on the
display)
• This is the design specicaon of the
unit. The dehumidier will start dehu-
midifying when the temperature goes
below 40°C or above -5°C.
Check Light On
• Filter is clogged • Check and clean or replace the lter
• The air inlet or outlet is blocked or
covered . • Remove obstrucons
• Unplug the dehumidier. Check if the
air inlet, lter or top case is being cov-
ered. Wait for at least 30 mins before
you switch on the Driod. If problem sll
exists contact Ecoair.
• The dehumidier stops by overheang
or internal failure.
Water Full Light

TWIN WATER TANKS
There are two water tanks in the
dehumidier and each has a 5
Litre capacity for easy handling.
Check that the drain levers on
each of the tank are not rested
on the oat arm assembly,
(otherwise the full tank light will
light on and the dehumidier
may not run or may cause leak).
Simply recheck drain levers
again.

ning, that both the Water tanks are in
the correct posion and not blocking
the drain valves. These must remain
open at all mes.
• Rubber plug missing • Ensure that when the dehumidier is
on connuous drain mode, the rubber
bung should be inserted in to other
side of drain out valve which is not
connected for connuous drain.
