to as RIVER Extra Battery) dry. DO NOT expose it to high heat. Pay
attention to all safety instructions when carrying the product.

3. After removing the package, the Extra Battery must be installed
with RIVER as soon as possible. Please pay attention to static
electricity during the installation process.

the instructions provided by EcoFlow. Failure to follow these instructions will render EcoFlow
after-sales services and the product warranty void. These Safety Guidelines include instructions
for safety, operation and maintenance. It is important to read and follow all the instructions and
warnings in the user manual before assembly, setup, or product use.
Improper use may result in fire, property damage, or personal injury. Make sure to use the prod-
uct according to the following safety rules and guidelines.

1. The Extra Battery must be installed with RIVER before it can be used. It cannot be used by itself.
2. During the installation process, please pay attention to anti-static protection to ensure that there is
no static electricity from the operator or the environment. Static electricity may cause damage to the
product.
3. RIVER must be turned off before the installation process.
4. Tighten the screws to ensure the Extra Battery is firmly attached to RIVER.
1. DO NOT expose the product to any liquids. Do not immerse the product in water. DO NOT leave the
batteries out in the rain or near a source of moisture. Moisture in the device could cause short circuits,
component failure, fires or even an explosion.
2. Never use non-EcoFlow parts. Go to http://www.EcoFlow.com to purchase new parts. EcoFlow takes
no responsibility for any damage caused by the use of non-EcoFlow parts.
3. Never install or remove other modules from the RIVER when it is turned on. DO NOT plug or unplug
other modules when the power of the product is turned on, otherwise the power interface may be dam-
aged.
4. Please use and store the device according to the following environment temperatures:Normal use
and storage: -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C)Optimal use and storage: 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C). The
use of the product in environments above 140ºF (60°C) may cause fires or explosions. The use of the
product below -4ºF (-20°C) will severely affect the performance of the product. Allow the product to
return to a normal operating temperature before using it.
5. DO NOT use the batteries in strong electrostatic or electromagnetic environments. Otherwise, the
battery control board may malfunction and cause a serious accident during use.
6. Never disassemble or pierce the product in any way. Otherwise, it may leak, catch on fire, or explode.
7. DO NOT use the product if it was involved in a crash, accident, or a heavy fall.
8. If the product falls into the water during use, take the product out immediately and put it in a safe
and open area. Keep a safe distance from it until it is completely dry. Never use it again and dispose
it properly as described in the Battery Disposal section below. If the product catches fire, it is recom-
mended to use fire extinguishing equipment in the following order: water or water mist, sand, fire blan-
ket, dry powder fire extinguisher, and a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher.
9. DO NOT put the device in a microwave oven or in a pressurized container.

Product Charging
It is forbidden to carry lithium batteries above a specific capacity on airplanes due to flight regulations.
Please check local flight laws and regulations. Do not bring this product on flights.
1. Always use EcoFlow approved charging cables. EcoFlow does not take any responsibility for any
damages caused by using non-EcoFlow charging cables.
2. When charging, please place the product on the ground with no flammable or combustible materials
around it. To prevent accidents, never leave the device unattended during charging.
3. DO NOT charge the device immediately after a long heavy load, because the device temperature may get
too high. DO NOT charge the device until it cools down to room temperature. Temperature for normal
use and storage of this product is -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C) and temperature for optimal use and
storage of this product is 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C).

Cold weather use
Cold temperatures (below freezing) can affect the unit’s battery capacity due to chemical characteris-
tics of the battery. Keep the power station within the environment temperature range, -4 to 113°F (20 to
45°C) to prolong battery life. DO NOT store or place the product near water;
2. If the product is not used for a long period of time, the battery life may be impacted. Discharging the
product to 30%, then charging to 85% every 3 months can help prolong the battery life;
3. After being fully charged, the product has a shelf life of over a year under room temperature and
humidity, provided that it isn’t used during storage.
1. Dispose the product in specific recycling boxes only after a complete discharge. Batteries are hazard-
ous chemicals. Please strictly follow your local regulations regarding battery disposal and recycle.
2. Dispose of the product immediately if it cannot be powered on after over-discharging.

to a doctor immediately.
2. If a low-battery warning appears, charge the battery before storing it. Otherwise, long-term storage
may cause damage to the battery. Batteries in the product will enter hibernation mode if they are de-
pleted and stored for a long time. Recharging the product can bring the battery out of hibernation.
3. DO NOT place the product near a heat source, such as a car in direct sunlight, a fire source, or a heating stove.
4. Store the product in dry environments. Please keep the device away from water.
5. Make sure no small metal objects can fall on or around the product while it’s being stored.
Never ship a product with a battery power level higher than 30%.

Ambient Light

Make sure to turn RIVER off before installing the expansion battery. PRESS and HOLD the ON / OFF
System Power Button to ensure that the power is off. DO NOT turn RIVER on before installing the
bottom cover; the cover is required for proper battery connection.
After the installation is complete, restart the product. DO NOT keep removing the battery frequently
as this requires the product to complete a cell balancing process, which will affect user experi-
ence.
Users are recommended to purchase RIVER and the Extra Battery at the same time. If users purchase
the Extra Battery after using the RIVER for a long time, the output of the product will be affected by
the balance between the power station and the Extra Battery (normal process). Please fully charge
the product to 100% before using it.

2. Unscrew the four short screws according to the figure above before removing the bot-
tom cover. The Male Battery Socket will be visible. Position the Extra Battery according
to the figure below. (Note: Do not remove the top cover; only the bottom covers needs
removing).

3. Align the male and female battery sockets and connect them. Close the bottom
cover. Take the four long screws from the Extra Battery Module Kit and screw them se-
curely into place.

4. Turn the RIVER upright and turn it on. The Extra Battery Panel will turn blue. The Extra
Battery Indicator will be shown on the RIVER display when it has been installed correctly.
Make sure the product is fully charged before use. If the ambient light does not turn on,
or the Extra Battery Indicator does not show on the RIVER display, repeat Step 2 and
check the product connection.

Powering up: The blue light will move
from the middle to the sides of the panel.
Powering down: The blue light will move
from the sides to the middle of the panel.

left to right of the panel, repeatedly.
Enter the Module Settings on the EcoFlow
app to access ambient light features.
