Application area
The EDER hydraulic power unit EHA150 is suitable for use at an oil pressure of 150 bar
and an oil flow of 14l per minute. The power unit is driven by an economical Honda GX200
4-stroke petrol engine with an output of 4.3 kW (5.8 hp). The unit is built into a carrying
frame and can thus be transported by one or two persons with its low weight of approx. 30
kg.
Accessories: The EDER hydraulic unit EHA150 is particularly suitable for operating the
EDER splitting unit EHG1.
The EDER hydraulic unit is not suitable for operation without hoses and connected
equipment.
Safety instructions
1. Read the operating instructions for the hydraulic unit and the engine before use and
pay attention to all warnings and safety instructions. Keep the operating instructions for
future reference.
2. The EDER hydraulic unit and the equipment connected to it may only be operated by
persons who have been instructed and trained in the use of hydraulic equipment.
3. Do not use the EDER hydraulic unit if you are tired, confused or under the influence of
sedatives, sleeping pills, alcohol or drugs.
4. The EDER hydraulic unit may only be used in sufficiently good lighting conditions.
5. The operationally safe condition of the unit must always be checked before starting
work.
6. The EDER hydraulic unit must not be used if damage to the unit or to the hydraulic
system and hoses has been detected.
If leakage is suspected, do not feel the hydraulic unit and hoses with bare hands. An
oil jet escaping at high pressure can cause serious injury.
7. Suitable tools must be used for maintenance and set-up work.
8. Protection and safety devices must not be rendered ineffective.
9. Before starting work, make sure that you are standing securely and remove any
obstacles in the working area if necessary.
10. Do not interfere with the mechanics during operation.
11. The EDER hydraulic unit is operated with a combustion engine and can therefore
become very hot. The EDER hydraulic unit must not be used in closed rooms.
12. Make sure that the unit you connect to the EDER hydraulic unit is suitable for at least
150 bar.
Commissioning
For the initial start-up of the EDER hydraulic unit, the following operating materials must be
filled into the engine:
1.) Up to 3 litres of petrol in the petrol tank (without additives, no two-stroke mixture! )
2) SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use.

Check the engine oil level before each use.
The oil tank of the hydraulic unit is filled with 5 litres of mineral hydraulic oil (HLP ISO 46)
on delivery.
Connect the hydraulic hoses correctly before starting
the engine. The pressure line is marked with a "P" on
the EDER hydraulic unit. Make sure that the pressure
line and the return hose are connected correctly. The
hoses and the hydraulic connections on the power unit
must be kept clean.
Incorrectly connected or dirty hydraulic hoses can cause
damage to the connected unit.
Do not start the engine until both hydraulic hoses are
connected.
Maintenance
Check the operating materials daily before each work operation:
The engine oil level must be checked with the dipstick on the engine in accordance with the
operating instructions for the petrol engine and topped up if necessary. The content of the
hydraulic oil reservoir must be checked by unscrewing the red screw cap of the filler opening
and topped up at the latest when the minimum oil level is reached or fallen short of. Only
use mineral hydraulic oil that complies with the following specification: HLP ISO 46.
During use, pay attention to unusual operating noises and possibly leaking or damaged fluid
lines and screw connections. If a defect is suspected, you must take the unit out of operation
and eliminate the cause or have it checked and repaired at a specialist workshop to avoid
further consequential damage.
Clean dirty components regularly.
Only original spare parts from EDER Maschinenbau GmbH or the engine manufacturer are
to be used as replacements for defective parts!
Recycling
The EDER splitting unit contains oils/greases and must be disposed of by a recycling
company.

Warranty
For private users the warranty period is 24 months and for commercial use 12 months. First
of all, the seller must always be given the opportunity for subsequent performance within a
reasonable period of time.
No warranty
The manufacturer does not provide any warranty for:
▪Parts that are subject to natural wear and tear
▪Non-compliance with the operating instructions and lack of or incorrect care
▪Consequences of improper maintenance and servicing measures
▪Damage from improper handling and incorrect operation
