channel performance. Create multiple
rooms of stereo sound in your home that
rival the balance and acoustics of profes-
sionally designed listening rooms.
Configure the Z•660 with a mix of
monaural and stereo channels that
guarantee full coverage in all areas of
your palatial home. Crisp, clear power
and sound...anywhere you want it.
ECONOMICALLY
POWERFUL
The Z•Series Multi-Channel Power
Amplifier breaks new ground in the
industry. As a welcome alternative to
amplifiers that make more of a statement
about your bank account, the Z•660
makes multi-room high-fidelity more
practical than ever at less than two and a
half dollars a watt.
CRAFTED IN THE USA
Designed and engineered by ELAN’s
audio engineers and manufactured in our
Lexington, Kentucky facility, the highest
quality control standards have been
implemented to ensure a superior product
that will provide years of listening
enjoyment. Our commitment to you is
quality.
FEATURES/BENEFITS
•Three separate push buttons control
Channel Bridging of paired stereo
channels for (up to) three channels of
120 watt power per channel.
Independent bridging buttons affords
you the ability to mix bridged and
unbridged channels for optimum
multi-room or home theater configura-
tion. The Z•660’s BUS mode button
gives you quick and easy distribution
of stereo signal inputs to all channel
outputs.
•Six individual level adjustments allow
you to set gain for each channel,
matching a room’s ambient acoustics
and architecture. This is a critical
feature for achieving balance
between stereo channels in a
multi-room configuration or
setting gain to a monauralchannel.
Feedback is immediate as individual
Channel LED’s display signal activity
and clipping. Green for signal
presence, Red for clipping. Separate
power and IR activity LED’s communi-
cate the system is functioning.
•The Z•660’s IR feature powers up to
four IR receivers via the IR wiring
ermination block. IR signals are
“passed through” to two emitter/blaster
jacks on the rear of the amplifier. Great
for multi-room control of source
equipment! The Z•660 also has a
Remote ON/OFF feature which detects
12VDC from a source receiver or
preamp and brings the amplifier out of
its “Mute” mode.
•With its 1.75” low profile and elegant
front panel design, the Z•660
Multi-Channel Power Amplifier looks
great and fits perfectly in any
entertainment center or rack of source
equipment.
•Separate line level inputs for each
channel with buffered “loop” outputs
make this power amplifier the ultimate
in accommodating design. The
buffered “loop” outputs allow patching
of signals to more than one channel.
Combining stereo loop outputs (via a
Y-cord) to a single channel input creates
a mono channel. Whether the design
requirement is stereo, mono, or a mix of
both, the Z•660 accommodates your
needs.
•Robust circuit protection is a standard in
all Z•Series products. Independent
thermal and short circuit protection has
been implemented to protect the unit in
the harshest operating conditions.
Outputs are safeguarded against over/
undervoltages, overloads (including
shorts), thermal runaway and instanta-
neous temperature peaks. The design
has been extensively tested to assure
optimal performance.
