• Proper Installation—Be sure your appliance is properly installed and grounded by
a qualified technician in accordance in the United States with National Electrical
CodeANSI/NFPANo.70—latesteditionandlocalcoderequirements,andinCanada
with CSA C22.1 PART 1—latest edition and local code requirements. Install only per
installationinstructionsprovided intheliteraturepackage forthisappliance.
Askyourdealertorecommendaqualifiedtechnicianandanauthorizedrepairservice.Know
howtodisconnecttheelectricalpowertotherangeatthecircuitbreakerorfuseboxincase
ofanemergency.
• UserServicing—Donotrepairorreplaceanypartoftheapplianceunlessspecifically
recommended in the manuals. All other servicing should be done only by a qualified
technician to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to the appliance.
• Never modify or alter the construction of a range by removing leveling legs, panels,
wire covers, anti-tip brackets/screws, or any other part of the product.
Stepping, leaning or sitting on the door or drawer of this appliance
can result in serious injuries and may also cause damage to the appliance. Do not
allow children to climb or play around the appliance. The weight of a child on an open door
may cause the appliance to tip, resulting in serious burns or other injury. An open drawer,
when hot, may cause burns.
Do not use the oven or warmer drawer (if equipped) for storage.
• Storage in or on Appliance—Flammable materials should not be stored in an oven,
near surface units or in the drawer (if equipped). Thisincludes paper, plasticand cloth
items,suchascookbooks,plasticwareandtowels,aswellasflammableliquids.Donotstore

Do not store items of interest to children in the cabinets above the
appliance. Children climbing on the range to reach items could be seriously injured.
• Do not leave children alone. Children should not be left alone or unattended in the
area where an appliance is in use. They should never be allowed to sit or stand on any
partoftheappliance.
To reducethe riskof tippingof therange, therange mustbe securedby properly installed anti-
tipbracket(s)providedwiththerange.Tocheckifthebracket(s)isinstalledproperly,removethe
lower panel or storage drawer and verify that the anti-tip bracket (s) is engaged. Refer to the
installationinstructionsforproperanti-tipbracket(s).
• All ranges can tip.

• DO NOT TOUCH SURFACE UNITS, AREAS NEAR THESE UNITS, OVEN HEATING
ELEMENTS OR INTERIOR SURFACES OF THE OVEN OR WARMER DRAWER (if
equipped).Bothsurfaceunitsandovenheatingelementsmaybehoteventhoughtheyare
darkincolor. Areasnearsurfaceunitsmaybecomehotenoughtocauseburns.Duringand
afteruse,donottouch,orletclothingorotherflammablematerialstouchtheseareasuntilthey
have had sufficient time to cool. Among these areas are the cooktop, surfaces facing the
cooktop,theovenventopeningsandsurfacesneartheseopenings,ovendoorandwindow.
• Wear Proper Apparel—Loose-fitting or hanging garments should never be worn
while using the appliance. Do not let clothing or other flammable materials contact hot
surfaces.
Never use your appliance for warming or heating the room.
• Do Not Use Water or Flour on Grease Fires—Smother the fire with a pan lid, or use
baking soda, a dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher.
• When heating fat or grease, watch it closely. Fat or grease may catch fire if allowed to
become too hot.
• Use Only Dry Potholders—Moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in
burnsfromsteam.Donotletthepotholderstouchhotheatingsurfaceunitsorinterioroven
elements. Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth instead of a potholder.
• Do Not Heat Unopened Food Containers—Build up of pressure may cause the
container to burst and result in injury.
• Remove the oven door from any unused appliance if it is to be stored or discarded.
• IMPORTANT—Donotattempttooperatetheovenduringapowerfailure. Ifthepower
fails,alwaysturntheovenoff.Iftheovenisnotturnedoffandthepowerresumes,theoven
may begin to operate again. Food left unattended could catch fire or spoil.
Electronic controllers can be damaged by cold temperatures. When you
use your appliance for the first time, or if it has not been used for a long period of time,
make sure that it has been exposed to a temperature above 0°C/32°F for at least 3 hours
before connecting it to the power supply.
IMPORTANTINSTRUCTIONSFORUSINGYOURCOOKTOP
• Know which knob controls each surface heating unit.
• UseProperPanSize—Thisapplianceisequippedwithoneormoresurfaceunitsofdifferent
sizes.Select utensilshavingflat bottomslargeenough tocoverthe surfaceunit.The useof
undersizedutensilswillexposeaportionofthesurfaceheatingunittodirectcontactandmay
resultinignitionofclothing.Properrelationshipofutensiltothesurfaceunitwillalsoimprove
efficiency.
• Utensil Handles Should Be Turned Inward and Should Not Extend Over Adjacent
SurfaceUnits—Toreducetheriskofburns,ignitionofflammablematerials,andspillagedue
tounintentionalcontactwiththeutensil.Thehandleoftheutensilshouldbepositionedsothat
it is turned inward, and does not extend over adjacent surface unit.

• UseCareWhenOpeningDoororDrawer—Standtothesideoftheappliancewhenopening
thedoor ofa hotoven. Let hotair orsteam escapebefore youremove orreplace foodin the
oven/warmerdrawer.
• KeepOvenVentDuctsUnobstructed.Theovenisventedatthefrontabovetheovendoor
(ceramic glass cooktop models) or through the right rear element (coil element models).
Touchingthesurfacesinthisareawhentheovenisoperatingmaycausesevereburns.Also,
donotplaceplasticorheat-sensitiveitemsonorneartheovenvent.Theseitemscouldmelt
or ignite.
• Placement of Oven/Warmer Drawer (if equipped) Racks. Always place oven racks in
desiredlocationwhileoven/drawer(ifequipped)iscool.Removeallutensilsfromtherackbefore
removingrack.Ifrackmustbemovedwhileovenishot,useextremecaution.Usepotholders
and grasp the rack with both hands to reposition. Do not let potholders contact the hot oven
elementorinterioroftheoven/warmerdrawer(ifequipped).
• Donotuseabroilerpanwithoutitsinsert.Thebroilerpanandgridallowdrippingfattodrain
and be kept away from the high heat of the broiler.
• Do not cover your broiler or warmer drawer (if equipped) grid with aluminum foil.
Exposedfat and greasecould ignite.
• NeverLeaveSurfaceUnitsUnattended—Boiloverscausesmokingandgreasyspillovers
that may ignite, or a pan that has boiled dry may melt.
• Protective liners— Do not use aluminum foil to line oven bottom or any other part of the
appliance.Onlyuse aluminumfoilasrecommended forbakingifused asacoverplaced on
the food. Any other used of protective liners or aluminum foil may result in a risk of electric
shock or fire or a short circuit.
• GlazedCookingUtensils—Onlycertaintypesofglass,glass/ceramic,ceramic,earthenware,
orotherglazedutensilsare suitableforcooktopservicewithoutbreakingdue tothesudden
changeintemperature.Checkthemanufacturer'srecommendationsforcooktopuse.
• DoNot Use DecorativeSurface Element Covers. Ifanelementis accidentallyturnedon,
thedecorativecoverwillbecomehot andpossiblymelt.Burnswilloccurifthehotcoversare
touched. Damage may also be done to the cooktop.
FORGLASSCOOKTOPSONLY
• DoNotCleanorOperateaBrokenCooktop—Ifcooktopshouldbreak,cleaningsolutions
andspilloversmaypenetratethebrokencooktopandcreateariskofelectricshock.Contact
aqualifiedtechnicianimmediately.
• CleanCooktopGlasswithCaution—Ifawetspongeorclothisusedtowipespillsonahot
cookingarea, becarefulto avoida steamburn.Some cleanerscan produceharmfulfumes
if applied to a hot surface.
• Avoidscratchingthe cooktop glass withsharpobjects.

• Do not touch a hot light bulb with a damp cloth. Doingsocould causethe bulbto break.
Disconnecttheapplianceorturnoffthepowertotheappliancebeforeremovingandreplacing
light bulb.
IMPORTANTINSTRUCTIONSFORCLEANINGYOURRANGE
• Cleantherangeregularlytokeepallpartsfreeofgreasethatcouldcatchfire. Exhaust
fan ventilation hoods and grease filters should be kept clean. Do not allow grease to
accumulate. Greasy deposits in the fan could catch fire. Refer to the hood manufacturer's
instructionsforcleaning.
• Cleaners/aerosols—Alwaysfollowthemanufacturer'srecommendeddirectionsforuse.Be
aware that excess residue from cleaners and aerosols may ignite causing damage and/or
injury.
SELF-CLEANING OVENS:
• Clean in the self-cleaning cycle only the parts of the oven listed in this owner's guide.
Beforeself-cleaningtheoven,removeallutensilsstoredintheoven.
• Donotcleantheovendoorgasket.Thedoorgasketisessentialforagoodseal.Careshould
be taken not to rub, damage or move the gasket.
• Oven racks. Oven racks will be damaged if left in the oven during a self-cleaning cycle.
• Donotuseovencleaners.Noovencleanerorovenlinerprotectivecoatingofanykindshould
be used in or around any part of the oven.
• Removeovenracks.Ovenrackswillbedamagedifleftintheovenduringaself-cleaningcycle.
The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off
during the self-clean cycle of any range. Move birds to another well ventilated room.

To install oven rack support, insert the
supportsbypushingthemdownwardintothe
twobracketsoneachsideoftheoveninterior,
asshownbelow.
Toremovetheovenracksupportforaself-
cleancycle,pullupthesupporttodisengage
themfrom the brackets.If the racksupports
are not removed, the self-clean cycle won’t
start.

REMOVING AND REPLACING OVEN RACKS
Removing Sliding Oven Racks
1. With the rack in its closed position; grasp the rack and the sliders at once.
2. Slightly lift the rack and sliders and pull it to clear the first bracket.
3. Pull the rack and sliders until the second bracket stops the rack.
4.Lift therack andsliders andcarefully removethem fromthe oven.
Refer to the care and cleaning section for directions on how to clean the racks.

Replacing Sliding Oven Racks
Toreplacetheovenracks,followtheintructionsaboveinreverseorder.
Always arrange the oven racks when the oven is cool (prior to operating the oven). Always use
ovenmittswhenusingtheoven.

Simply pull the rack and slightly tilt it upward when the rack hits its stop position.
Replacing Non-Sliding Oven Rack
Insert the rack into the oven rack supports by inserting the rack openings into the rack
supports. Be sure the rack is at the same position on each oven rack support on both sides.

Whentheunitisfirstpluggedin,orwhenthepower supplytotherangehasbeeninterrupted,
thetimerin thedisplaywillflash with"12:00".Theclockcannotbe setwhentheoven ison.If
aninvalidtimeofdayisentered,thecontrolwilltriplebeeptopromptyoutore-enteravalidtime
ofday.
To set the clock (example for 1:30):
1. Press 130padstosetthetimeofdayto1:30.Thepads

2. Press START to accept the changes or CANCEL to start with a time of 12:00.
SETTING CLOCK AT POWER UP
CONTROL PANEL DISPLAY MODES
Sleep Mode:
Yourcontrolwillremaininasleepmodewhennotinuse.Onlytheclockwilldisplayduringthis
mode. You will need to wake the control to begin any function.
Wake Mode:
Towakethecontrol,touchwithinthedisplaypanel.After2minuteswithoutactivitythecontrol
will beep and go back into sleep mode.
To start a cooking feature you must select either the upper oven or the lower oven. User
preferenceswillbeavailableduringthismodeaswellastimers,ovenlightandthecontrollock.
TEMPERATURE VISUAL DISPLAY
Yourovenisequippedwithatemperaturevisualdisplayforeachoven.Whenacookingmode
isset,theactualtemperaturewillbeshowninthedisplayandwillriseastheunitpreheat.When
theunithasreacheditstargettemperature,achimewillsoundtoremindyoutoplacethefood
in the oven. This feature will be active with some cooking modes; bake, convection bake,
convectionroastandperfectturkey.Thecookingmodeswhichdoesnotfeaturethetemperature
visual display will be noted in their descriptions.
NOTE:The lowest temperaturethat can bedisplayed is 100°F.

OVEN LIGHT
Yourapplianceincludes“theater”styleovenlightingfeaturethatgraduallylightsboththeupper
andloweroveninteriorstofullbrightness.Theupperovenisequippedwith2halogenlightsand
thelowerovenisequippedwith1incandescentlight.Theovenlightswillturnonautomatically
whentheovendoorisopened.Theovenlightmaybeturnedonwhenthedoorisclosedbyusing
theovenlight padlocatedon thecontrolpanel. Theovenlight keywilltoggle thelightsin both
ovens at the same time at full intensity.
To toggle the Oven Lights ON and OFF:
1. Press OVEN LIGHT .
CONTROL LOCK
TheControlLockfeatureautomaticallylockstheupperovendoor,controlpanelandthecooktop.
TheControl Lockisonly allowedwhenthe ovenand thecooktopare turnedOFF(not active).
DOORLOCKwillflashinthedisplayfor20secondsoruntilthedoorhasfinishedlocking. Once
thedoorhasbeenlocked,Locmessagewillappearintheupperdisplayand“--”willappearin
the cooktop displays. Do not attempt to open the oven door while DOOR LOCK is flashing.
To toggle the Control Lock ON and OFF:
1. KeepCONTROL LOCK pressedfor 3seconds.
SETTING THE KITCHEN TIMER
Thisunitisequippedwith2KitchenTimerswhichservesasextratimersinthekitchenthatwill
beepwhenthesettimehasrunout.Itdoesnotstartorstopcooking.TheTimerfeaturecanbe
usedduring anyofthe otherovencontrol functionsand cookingmodes.
To set the Timer (example for 5 minutes):
1. Press TIMER ."00:00" will appear in the display.
2. Press 5padtoset thetimerto 5minutes.Thepads

canalso bepressedtoraise
or lower the actual time displayed.
3. Press again TIMER to accept and start the countdown.
4. Whenthesettimehasrunout, "00:00"will bedisplayedandtheTIMER padwillflash.
Theclock will sounda chime thatwill be repeatedat regularintervals until theTIMER
pad is pressed.
To cancel the Timer before the set time has run out:
Press TIMER . The display will return to the time of day.

designoftheceramiccooktopoutlinestheareaofthesurfaceelementunderneath.Makesure
the diameter of the pan matches the diameter of the element outline on the cooktop. Heat is
transferred up through the surface of the cooktop to the cookware. Only flat-bottom cookware
shouldbeused.Thetypeandsizeofcookware,thenumberofsurfaceelementsinuseandthe
settings, are all factors that will affect the amount of heat that will spread to areas beyond the
surface elements. The areas surrounding the elements may become hot enough to cause
burns.

COOKWARE MATERIAL TYPES
Thecookwarematerialdetermineshowevenlyandquicklyheatistransferredfromthesurface
elementtothe panbottom.The mostpopularmaterialsavailable are:
ALUMINUM-Excellent heatconductor.Some typesoffoodwill causeitto darken(Anodized
aluminumcookwareresistsstaining&pitting).Ifaluminumpansslideacrosstheceramicglass
cooktop, they may leave metal marks which will resemble scratches. Remove these marks
immediately.
COPPER - Excellent heat conductor but discolors easily. May leave metal marks on ceramic
glass(seeAluminumabove).
STAINLESS STEEL - Slow heat conductor with uneven cooking results. Is durable, easy to
clean and resists staining.
CAST IRON - A poor heat conductor however will retain heat very well. Cooks evenly once
cookingtemperature isreached. Not recommendedfor useon ceramiccooktops.
PORCELAIN-ENAMEL on METAL - Heating characteristics will vary depending on base
material. Porcelain-enamel coating must be smooth to avoid scratching ceramic cooktops.
GLASS-Slowheatconductor.Notrecommendedforceramiccooktopsurfacesbecauseitmay
scratch the glass.
Cookware should have flat bottoms
that make good contact with the entire
surface heating element. Check for
flatness by rotating a ruler across the
bottom of cookware. Be sure to follow
the recommendations for using cook-
ware that is shown in the illustrations
at right.
Note: Always use a cooking utensil for its intended purpose. Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Some utensils were
not made to be used in the oven or on the cooktop.
Specialty pans such as lobster pots, griddles and pressure cookers may be used but must conform to the above
recommended cookware requirements.

After using any of the radiant element positions the ceramic cooktop will become very hot.
Even after turning the control off, the cooktop will remain hot for some time.

Radiant surface elements may appear to have cooled after they have been turned OFF. The Hot Element
Message Light will turn ON and will continue to glow until the glass cooktop has cooled down to a
moderate level. The glass surface may still be hot and burns may occur if the glass surface is touched
before the indicator light has turned OFF.
Do not place plastic items such as salt and pepper shakers, spoon holders or plastic wrappings on
top of the range when it is in use. Theseitemscouldmeltorignite.Potholders,towelsorwoodenspoons
