Installation can only be carried out by an authorized person and according to the mounting instructions. Any
other installation is considered to be improper. For a good installation and for a device to work properly it is
important to ensure mounting on a at surface. Make sure that the device is always disconnected from the
power supply before the installation. Do not use if the device or the power cable is damaged. Only damp
microber cloth can be used for cleaning. Technical changes are subjected without notice. Do not dispose of
the device or its parts as household waste, but recycle it properly.

CS4-16 TIME SWITCH
The CS4-16 time switch is a device that causes appliances to start and stop working at specific times.
If you need to turn on or off an electrical appliance at a specific time, all you have to do is program
the CS4-16 time switch in accordance with the instructions below.
Introduction
Installation
1. Let it charge for approx. 12 hours.
2. Once it is fully charged, erase all stored information by pressing “R”. Use a pointed object
such as pencil or pen.
3. CS4-16 is now ready to be set and used.
Exact time setting
1. Press and hold “C+” and simultaneously press “W+” multiple times to set the current day. To set hours and minutes,
press and hold “C+” and simultaneously press “H+” and “M+” respectively. Holding the buttons instead of pressing
them repeatedly makes the setting process faster.
2. Releasing both buttons will result in the day and time being set.
3. If you wish to delete incorrect data, repeat step I.
Program setting
1. Press the “ “ button and release it. Set when the first program starts: 1_ON (TURN ON).
2. Press “W+” to select a day or a group of days of the week:
1_ON + “H+” (hours) + “M+” (minutes).
3. Press “ “ again to set when the first program finishes:
1_OFF(TURN OFF). This parameter is set in exactly the same way as described above.
4. Press “ “ repeatedly to set as many as 10 programs.
5. Once the time switch has been set fully, press “ C+” to make the device ready.
Example: You want the time switch to turn on at 8:15 a.m. and turn off at 10:15pm every day
a. press “ “ to make the screen read “1_ON”
b. press “W+” (to select day/group of days). .........................“MO,TU,WE,TH,FR,SA,SU”
c. .................“H+” (hours). ............................... 8:00
d. .................“M+” (minutes).......................... 8:15
e. .................“ “................................................ “1_OFF”
f. repeat b) to d) until 10:15 PM (or 22:15) has been set.
1. CS4-16 features a total of 10 configurable programs (ON-TURNED ON/OFF-TURNED OFF).
2. It may be controlled manually as well as automatically (ON/AUTO/OFF).
3. 12/24-hour cycles available.
4. Summer/winter time may be selected.
5. Additionally, 16 combinations of days and groups of days are available:
MO MO, TU, WE, TH, FR
TU SA, SU
WE MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA
TH MO, WE, FR
FR TU, TH, SA
SA MO, TU, WE
SU TH, FR, SA
MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU MO, WE, FR, SU

You can return to the standard mode anytime in the entire course of program setting by pressing “C+”.
TIP: When you have tried all programs set, make sure setting is not dual – especially if you have used
block selection.
Manual device operation
1. Press “MANUAL” and select one of the three modes.
2. ON – the switch is permanently turned on.
OFF – the switch is permanently turned off.
AUTO – the switch works in accordance with the programs set.
3. After switch-over from manual (ON/OFF) to automatic (AUTO) mode,
CS4-16 will remain turned off or turned on until a change of program occurs.
12/24-hour mode
Press “C+” and “ “ simultaneously to choose between 12 and 24-hour modes.
Summer time
1. Press “C+” and “MANUAL” simultaneously to make the screen read ””.
2. Time will be set forward by one hour.
3. Press the buttons again to return to the original mode.

Reset button
Pressing RES/RCL will delete the currently set
value, but it will not erase the entire memory.

Caution!
The device must not be used for sockets rated at over 16 A. Inductive load switching is possible
up to 2 A. Use a dry cloth to clean CS4-16. Only clean the switch once the distribution system
has been turned off. Do not leave connected electrical appliances unattended.
ENSURE PROTECTION OF CS4-16 FROM WATER. DO NOT CLEAN USING SOLVENTS!!
A warranty period of 2 years applies.
