General information
The Lumo light sensor can be easily connected to the
AstroTec/AstroTec 868 to form a user-friendly sun protection
system (to provide shade for plants and furniture).
Designated use
The Lumo may be used in combination with the AstroTec/
AstroTec 868 only.
The device must be fitted to the inside of the window pane !

How the Lumo works
With the Lumo light sensor you can protect your plants and
furniture from the sun’s harmful rays. If the pre-set sunlight value
is exceeded, “SUN” will appear in the display. The shutter cur-
tain will move down automatically until the Lumo light sensor is
shaded. The shutter curtain will then stop and adjust itself until
the light sensor is uncovered again. If an intermediate position is
programmed, the shutter curtain will stop at this position.
Shade function:
The sunlight setting is exceeded for more than 3 minutes
→The roller shutter is automatically lowered.
The sunlight setting is not reached for more than 15 minutes
→The roller shutter is automatically raised.
SUN
The threshold value is pre-set to 06.
The sun protection function is not active if the sunlight value is
set to --
The threshold setting ranges from 01 (very overcast) to 15
(direct sunlight).
The current sunlight setting and the new setting to be made are
shown in the display. The field for the new setting flashes.
Twilight function:
If the twilight value is not reached after 12:00 hrs, the roller
shutter is automatically lowered.
TWILIGHT
The threshold value is pre-set to -- .
The twilight function is not active if the twilight value is set to --.
The brightness function can be set to values ranging from 01
(dusk) to 15 (early twilight).
The current brightness setting and the new setting to be made
are shown in the display. The field for the new setting flashes.
TEST mode
(Can only be activated if a complete UP control command is
executed)
This mode can be used to test the Lumo light sensor. When the
TEST mode is active, the word “TEST” appears in the display.
Press and hold the OK button for approximately 5 seconds to
activate the TEST mode.
In the Test-mode, the delay times are reduced from minutes to
seconds.

Fitting the Lumo into the AstroTec
1. Cut the wire to the desired length.
Bare approx. 5 mm of the wire.
2. Remove the connecting terminal using a screwdriver.
3. Insert the wire into the terminal.
4. Insert the connecting terminal into the receptacle.
5. Secure the Lumo onto the window using the suction cap.

2. To select the SETTING menu, press the
+button until SETTING appears.
3. Press OK to confirm. HOLIDAY ON / OFF appears.
4. Confirm your setting by pressing OK.
Note: This dialog box will only be displayed if the light sensor is
connected to the device.
5. You have confirmed the HOLIDAY function. SUN will appear.
The value set is displayed.
6. The sunlight setting can be changed with the +/- button.
(The two digits on the left of the display show the current light
setting)
7. Confirm your entry by pressing OK.
To set the TWILIGHT CONTROL, follow the same procedure as
for SUN.
8. Press the MENU button twice to return to the operating mode.
