1.1BothoftheCS‐miniunitsrequire3x1.5V(AA)alkalinebatteries.
Alwaysusehigh‐qualityalkalinebatteries!Rechargeablebatteriesarenotsuitable!
1.2ExpectedBatterylifeofnewalkalinebatteries

1.3AlwaysremovethebatteriesfromCS‐minisystemwhennotinuseforanextendedperiodof
timetoavoidbatteryleakage&damagetosystem.Ensurethat3greenlightsareflashingupasa
minimumonbothunitsduringpowerup,otherwisepleasereplacebatteriesimmediately.
1.4Toinsertnewbatteries,unlocktheBatteryCover,thiscanbeeasilycarriedoutbyhand,please
payattentiontobatterypolarity.
1.5PleaseprotectCS‐miniunitsfromrainwhenusinginanoutdoorenvironment(bycoveringor
hidingtheminanobjectetc.),otherwiseitisrecommendedusingtheCS‐miniwithwaterproof
cases.
1.6CS‐miniunitsshouldalwaysbemountedcovertlyinsuchawaythattheycan’tbenoticedby
unauthorizedpersonstoavoidtheft.TheCS‐miniIRReceivercannotbehiddeninFullmetal
objects,astheGSM‐connectionisunablecorrectlytoworkduetolackoffieldintensity!
1.7Unitscanalsobefixedbyusingprovidedcantilevers.
1.8IRTransmittercanbemountedusingsmallmagnets.
IRReceivermustnotbemountedbyusinganymagnetsbecausetheymaydisturbtransmission
ofGSM‐Communicator.
1.9MovingsunlightthenshadeontotheopticsoftheIRReceivermaycausethesystemtofalse
alarm,axialsun‐raysdirectlygettingonoptics(e.g.sunrise)shouldbeavoided.
1.10Glossysurfaceswithintheinfralinecancauseobjectreflexionfaultscausingfalsealarms.
Itcanoccurinindoorplacesaswell,e.g.withglossypiecesoffurnitureorwallscoveredwith
tiles.ThisproblemcanbeentirelyeliminatedthroughmountingCS‐miniinplacesnotaffectedby
dailysunlightmovements.
1.11OperatingRangecanbesetbyswitchingmicrotabcontactintoadifferentposition
(SettingRange)insideIRTransmitterCS‐miniunit(Figure“A”)

1.13CS‐minicanoperatewithanymobilephoneserviceprovider.
1.14SIMCardPIN‐coderequestfeatureshouldbeturnedoff,otherwisetheCS‐minisystemwillnot
establishaconnectionwiththeserviceprovider.ThiscanbecarriedoutbyplacingtheSIM‐card
intoanymobilephoneandturningthefeaturetooff.
1.15IfusingaPre‐PaidSIMcard,pleaseensuresufficientaccountcreditbeforeCS‐minideployment

2.StepsbeforeuseCS‐mini:
2.1UnlockBatterycoverofunitsandinsert1.5V(AA)batteries,payingattentiontocorrectpolarity.
2.2Setrequiredoperationrange“SettingRange”insideofIRTransmitterinrequiredpositionof
distance–seeFigureA.
2.3InsertavalidSIM‐cardwithalreadycancelledPIN‐coderequestintoIRReceiverthenscrewon
theantenna.


 

2.5ProgrammingtheCS‐miniiscarriedoutbySettingthedeviceto“Program”modebymovingthe
microtabcontactcalled“SettingMode”insideoftheIRReceivertothe“Program”position–see
FigureB.&thenbysendinganSMScommandtotheSIMnumberoftheSIM‐cardinsertedinside
theCS‐miniunit.
NOTE:BeforesendinganySMScommandspleaseensurethattheIRReceiverisswitchedonand
allLEDdisplaylightsinred/greenalternate(itcantake1‐2min.).
2.6WhenReady,placethedeviceintotheprogrammode&thensendanSMSfromyourmobile
phonetotheSIM‐cardinsertedintodevicewiththefollowingtext:

mobilephonenumber.
2.7Aftersuccessfulinitialprogramming,youwillreceiveaconfirmationSMS
(itcantakeupto1‐2minutes).
2.8Aftertheinitialprogramming,theCS‐miniIRReceivercanbeswitchedoffandyoucanplacethe
Microtabcontactbackintothe“Normal”position(seeFigureB)
Nowinitialprogramminghasbeencompleted.
2.10PleasesavetheSIMphonenumberas“CS‐mini”intoyourmobilephone
2.11WheneverswitchingtheCS‐minion,itwillalwayssenda“Statusreport”SMS,informingyouon
conditionsofdevice(antennasignal,batteries´chargeetc.)
3.Mounting,Positioning,adjusting
3.1TostartusingtheCS‐minisystem,FirstplacetheIRTransmitterandIRReceiverfacingeach
other,roughlyatthesameheight,atadistancefromeachotherof70metresasamaximum.
Unitsshouldbehiddentoavoidtheft;itisrecommendedtohidetheminanobjectorunderthe
surfaceofatableetc.,inaheightfromthegroundof50cmasaminimum.
Besurethatareainfrontofopticsremainsclearfromothermovingobjects.
3.2IRTransmitter
SwitchontheIRTransmitterandcheckconditionofbatteriesthroughflashingofGREENLED
nexttooptics;conditionisindicatedbynumberofflashes:
10=FullCharge
1=AlmostFlat.
Redlight=meansthatbatteriesshouldbechangedimmediately!
Endofbatterytestisindicatedbyseriesofgreen/yellowlightsalternatingquickly.
(Batterytestiscarriedoutbydeviceautomatically.)
3.3“SightAim”theIRTransmitterLensindirectionoftheIRReceiverLens.
3.4IRReceiver
GototheIRReceiverand“SightAim”IRReceiverroughlyinitsfinalposition&thenswitchon
3.5Ifbatterieshaveinsufficientcharge,thenaflashingredlightwillactivate,otherwiseyoushould
seeasolidREDlight.
3.6AdjusttheIRReceiverbyturningtheopticlensinthedirectionofIRTransmitter,sotheycan
communicate.Whenthelensalignmentiscorrect&thedevicesarecommunicatingcorrectly,
thenthecolourofLEDwillchangetosolidGREEN.
3.7Thesystemwillactivateandbereadytousewhenacontinuousinfra‐connectionexistsfor
longerthan15seconds(continuousgreenlight)
3.8Youcancheckifthesystemistriggeringcorrectlybywalking/crossingtheinvisibleinfra‐rayline
withthe15secondperiodandtheLEDlightwillturnRED
3.9AfterSystemActivationthesystemwillthenchecktheGSM‐connection(ittakesabout1
minute);thisprocessisindicatedbyflashinggreenlights.
AftertheseflashesacontinuousgreenlightmeansthatGSM‐connectionisbuilt‐up.
Endofthisprocessisindicatedbygreen/yellowlights.
Withinafewminutesyou´llgetanSMSinformingyouonexactfieldintensityattheplaceofthe
trap,conditionsofbatteriesandnormaloperationofdevice.
3.10Wait1minuteandcheckoperationbycarringoutatestalarm(crossingtheinfra‐raypath).
YoushouldreceiveaSMSwith“Alarm”
3.11TheCS‐miniLEDlightswillautomaticallyturnoffaftera5minuteperiodtoavoiddetectionby
otherpersons.




2. SendanSMStoSIM‐cardinsertedintodeviceasitisinthefollowingexample:

3. Wait2minutesthenswitchonCS‐miniinthenormalway.
4. WaitforSMSconfirmingswitchedonstatus.
InthisSMSaftertext“CS‐miniinNORMALoperation”therewillappearmessage:
“TimeLimit:07.30‐22.50”
meaningthattheCS‐miniwon´tsendanyalarmnoticesincaseofbetweentheperiodfrom
07.30a.m.to10.50p.m.
Thistimelimitblockingalarmsignalswillberepeatedday‐to‐dayuntiltheCS‐miniisswitched
OFF
Thesewordswillbefollowedbyinformationonantennasignalandbatteries´charge.
Importantnotes:
•ThisistheonlycommandSMSthatshouldcanbesentin“NormalMode”mode.
•SystemtimerofCS‐miniissynchronizedtothetimeofsendingSMS,whichmaycausean
unpunctualityof±fewminutes–itshouldbetakenintoaccount.
