These instructions should be read carefully and left with the
user of the product for future reference.
BEFORE USE
You must inspect the appliance including its cable and plug for any
signs of damage. If the product is damaged, DO NOT use it, and
contact your supplier immediately.

ASSEMBLY
The following fasteners are supplied:
22 off M4 x 10 mm machine screw (a machine screw has
a fine thread which is the same diameter throughout)

9 off 4.8 mm x 20 mm self-tapping screw (a self-tapping
screw has a coarse thread and is tapered towards the point)

3 off 4 mm washer

6 off 3.5 mm x 12 mm self-tapping screw

First, fix the three parts of the base together using the six
4.8 mm x 20 mm self tapping screws . Then fix the base
weight to the base assembly using three 4.8 mm x 20 mm
self tapping screws , inserting a washer beneath the
head of each screw.

Choose a position for the appliance, at least 1.5 m from the
nearest wall, making sure that there is a gap of at least
600 mm between the top of the heater and any cailing or
canopy.
Fix the three ground-anchor
points to the underside of the
base using six 3.5 mm x 12 mm
self-tapping screws .

Then slide each leg onto the projection from the underneath
of the main body, and fix in place with two M4 x 10 mm
machine screws . Then fix the legs to the base using
twelve M4 x 10 mm machine screws .

Attach two of the three side panels to the legs. The panel
clips in place at the top and is fixed by two M4 x 10 mm
machine screws at the bottom.

Attach the knob to the final panel, and attach the chain to
the hook inside the main assembly, then clip the cable to the
underneath of the base.

In order to prevent theft, or to keep the appliance stable
where there is a possibility of strong winds, it should be fixed
to the ground using the three anchor points provided. Using
the appliance as a template mark the positions of the holes
on the floor, then drill three holes into the floor using a
masonry drill and insert the plastic masonry plugs .

Fix the appliance to the floor using the three 4.8 mm x 25mm
self-tapping screws .

OPERATION
Before use, remove the foam packing from the grilles.
Plug the mains lead into a 13 Amp mains socket that is
protected by a 30 mA Residual Current Device (RCD). Never
use equipment outdoors that is connected to a socket that is
not protected by an RCD.
If connecting via an extension lead, make sure that the lead
is rated at 13 Amps, and that it is fully unwound.
If the socket or extension lead is outdoors then a suitably
waterproof connector must be used.
Switch the unit on at the mains socket.
The three push-button switches (located inside the
removable panel) labelled H1, H2 and H3 control the three
heating elements. Press to turn on, press again to turn off.

The circular indicator beneath the heating element
illuminates if the element is switched on - this makes it
possible to tell if an element is switched ON before it has
reached operating temperature, or if it is switched OFF and
has yet to cool down.
The push-button labelled L controls the lamp at the top of the
appliance. Press to turn ON: press again to turn OFF.
Do not touch the fireguards when the heater is in operation,
because they will be hot and may cause burns.
Unplug the heater from the mains when not in use.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
The switches on the remote control handset replicate the H1, H2,
H3 and L switches on the control panel. There are three remote
control receiver sensors, so that the remote control handset can be
used from any angle.
PAT TESTING.
When used in an commercial environment, this product must
be safety-tested yearly by a qualified electrician (PAT
Tested) in order to comply with the Electricity at Work
Regulations.
We recommend that it is PAT tested regularly when used in a
domestic environment.
GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Domestic wiring must be tested periodically by a qualified
electrician at least once every 10 years or at every change of
occupancy.
For office and retail premises, and buildings such as village
halls, the wiring must be inspected at least once every 5
years. It is recommended that all building be fitted with

smoke alarms (it is mandatory for new buildings).
PRODUCT SAFETY
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance
•Ensure that curtains and other flammable materials are at
least 600 mm (2') from the top and 1.5 m (5') from the sides
of the heater.
•Do not use unless correctly installed.
•Do not cover when in use. This symbol shown on
the casing of the heater means that the heater should
not be covered when in use.
•Do not place the mains lead beneath a carpet or rug.
•Do not use the heater in locations where paint, petrol or
other flammable liquids are used or stored.
•Do no insert any object into the heater through the grilles.
This may damage the heater or result in overheating or
electric shock.
•If used outdoors, the heater must be connected via a
Residual Current Device (RCD) rated at 30 mA or less.
•Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a
bath, a shower, jacuzzi, hot-tub, swimming pool, pond or
water-feature.
•Not suitable for use in boats, caravans or similar locations.
•This heater must not be connected to a timer or other type
or programmable switch (a fire hazard exists if the heater is
covered when the timer switches it on)
•Do not touch the fireguard when the heater is in use, as it is

hot and may cause burns.
•The fireguard of this heater is intended to prevent direct
access to the heating elements and must be in place when
the heater is in use.
•The fireguard does not give full protection for young
children and for infirm persons.
OPERATING COSTS
At time of going to press, the average cost of electricity is
£0.12 per unit (kilowatt-hour). The amount you are being
charged will be shown on your electricity bill.
At this cost, the EH1450 will cost £0.32 per hour to run with
all three elements operating.
MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, turn the heater off, disconnect from the
mains supply and allow to cool down. The heater may then
be cleaned using a damp cloth with a drop of washing-up
liquid to remove any dust or dirt from the case. Do no use
stronger detergents or solvents as these may damage the
paint finish.
Using a dry 1" (25 mm) paint-brush, remove any dust from
the grilles.

If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or and authorised service centre. If the mains
plug needs to be replaced, proceed as follows:
•Connect the brown wire to the
terminal labelled "L".
•Connect the blue wire to the
terminal labelled "N".
•Connect the green/yellow wire
to the terminal labelled with the
earth symbol or "E".
•Make sure that the cord-grip is
positioned correctly (over the
outer sheath of the cable) and it
fully tightened.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
You must not dispose of this appliance with domestic
household waste.
Most local authorities have specific collection system for
appliances and disposal is free of charge to the end-user.
When replacing an existing appliance with a similar new
appliance your retailer may take the old appliance for
disposal.

SERVICE WARRANTY
Prem-i-Air guarantees the product free from defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of two years.
Should this appliance be operated under conditions other
than those recommended, at voltages other than the voltage
indicated on the appliance, or any attempts made to service
or modify the appliance, then the warranty will be rendered
void.
The product you buy may sometimes differ slightly from
illustrations. This warranty is in addition to, and does not
affect, your statutory rights.
