1 Introduction
1.1 Annotation
This manual describes the purpose, main specifications, safety operations, recommendations for installation,
configuration and use of high resolution TV set-top boxes NV-720 and NV-720-WB (hereinafter referred to as a
mediacenter, IPTV set-top box).
Before working with the device, it is recommended to read the following manual.
1.2 Symbols
Symbol Description

2 Description
2.1 Purpose
The device combines the functionality of a high-resolution set-top box and a home HD/4K-media player. The
network model of the device and a wide range of interfaces allow easy and convenient access to IP-television
(IPTV) and local media resources.
The quad-core Amlogic S905X2 media processor supports a wide range of audio and video formats.
The NV-720-WB models have a built-in dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac 1 module that provides high-speed wireless
connection and a built-in bluetooth module 1 that allows the connection of a bluetooth remote with voice
control and other accessories to the set-top box.
The device has a large set of built-in functions: broadcast IPTV with support of additional services, video and
audio playback, viewing images from different data drives.
The set of built-in functions of the device can be extended by operator services (video collection, operator
music access, etc.).
2.2 Functions
High Definition IPTV (Full HD/4K IPTV)
Home FullHD/4K Media Player
The device is a universal media player, that allows you to play media content:
via local wireless /wired network, for example, from a PC or other devices connected to a local network;
from external storage (external hard drive, USB flash drive).
The player has a clear interface and supports functions for working with files: copy, delete, move.
Internet applications
The mediacenter functionality can be expanded by application installing from both the local media, and the
application store.
Multimedia features
Supports an extended set of codecs and containers including: M2TS, MKV, MPEG-4.10/H.264,
HEVC=H.265;
Multimedia streams playback with a bitrate up to 50 Mbps;
Mp3, MPEG Audio, AAC audio playback. Playback of licensed codecs (Dolby Digital AC-3, DTS)
may be possible by installing a special firmware module;
Support downmix to stereo;
Photo viewing.
Network features
Supported protocols: IPv4, HTTP, DHCP, NTP, IGMPv3 (multicast), IGMPv2, ICMP, UDP,
RTSP;
Wireless network Wi-Fi 802.11b/g /n/ac1 connection;
Remote OS update via HTTP, TR-069;
Installing applications over the network;
Samba client;
DLNA client.
Wide range of switching capabilities:
Connection to the operator's network: via Ethernet cable, via Wi-Fi1 ;
A/V-equipment connection: HDMI 2.0;

3 Design
This section describes the design of the device: the front, back and side panels, connectors, LEDs, and
controls.
3.1 Front panel of the device
The front panel of device is depicted in figure 2.

LED, which locates on the front panel, shows the device status (see Table 2).
LEDs located on the front panel indicate the current state of the device. The list of LEDs status is described in
the table 2.

There is a USB 2.0 connector on the side panel of the device (labeled with )for connecting peripherals
such as external hard drives, flash drives, and input devices (keyboard and mouse) to the device.
You can connect external devices such as USB-Hub to increase the number of simultaneously connected USB
devices.
3.4 «F» Functional Button
«F» functional button is located on the bottom panel of the case. It is used for loading the service mode for
firmware updating or restoring the factory software.

4 Remote control buttons assignment
4.1 Universal remote control (URC) of set-top box and TV
This section describes RC buttons assignment.

URC can operate in two modes:
TV control (unit of TV CONTROL);
set–top box control.
Only the TV unit buttons are used to control the TV. The remaining buttons are used for set-top box controlling.
For TV controlling the TV CONTROL buttons should be assigned to the TV RC buttons. The description
of the RC buttons programming is given in theAppendix A.

Table 5 describes the buttons and indicators of the URC for set-top box functioning.

Arrow Enable/disable the mouse cursor. Press the button to
switch to the mouse cursor control mode and back.
MENU Used in the «Explorer» application to bring up the context
menu.
Navigation buttons Buttons «up», «down», «right», «left» are used to select
menu items.
During the video and music playback the «right» and «left»
buttons are used to navigate to the desired part.
«ОК» button is used to select or confirm an option.

MOUSE
(cursor)
Enable/disable the mouse cursor. Press this button to switch to the mouse cursor
control mode. Press to select menu objects (similar to the function of mouse left
button).
To exit mouse cursor control mode press «up», «down», «right» or «left».
RETURN Return to level back.
Volume, voice
input
Adjust the volume with «–» and «+».
To activate the voice input press and hold the microphone button located in between
the button. Release the button to exit voice input mode.
