1 .Lift up on the battery compartment cover tab compartment and remove the battery cover.
2. Install four (4) ‘MA” batteries, paying attention to the polarity diagram in the battery
compartment.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
NOTE: When batteries are removed, this remote will retain the setting (code) for
approximately 15 minutes. Should you fail to replace the batteries within 15 minutes, use
the tip of a pen to reset the unit. The RESET button is located in the battery compartment.

-SEmlNG UP THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL
1 e Locate the two (2) digit number corresponding to your TV, VCWVCP or Combo’s model number located on page 2.
2. Simultaneously press and hold the CALL and ENTER buttons together until the status indicator lights. (The status
indicator is located on the top right on the front of the remote.)
3. Using the number buttons, enter the two (2) digit code.
L 4. The Status indicator should go out immediately. If the Status indicator slowly blinks twice, a wrong device code has beer
entered. In this case, repeat the procedure.
OPERATING THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL
Once the Universal Remote Control code has been set, it works just like the original remote. Just aim the Universal Remote
Control at the TV, VCWVCP or Combo and press the desired button(s).
FINDING THE LOCATION OF CONTROLS FOR YOUR TV/VClUVCP/COMBO
For detailed descriptions of the functions available from the Universal Remote Control, locate the model number of the TV,
VCWVCP or Combo on page 2 and then turn to the page indicated.
Each Location Of Controls consists of an illustration of the Universal Remote Control and a description of each button that
can be used with the TV, VClWCP or Combo. If a button is labelled and is shaded black, then it can be used with the TV,
VCRNCP or Combo. If a button is not labelled and is not shaded, then it cannot be used with the TV, VCR/VW or Combo.

viewed and the present channel.
SLEEP Button - Press to set the TV to turn off automatically after
up to 120 minutes

TIMER REC Button - Press to set the VCR to start recording at a preset time.
F.FWD (Fast Forward) Button -
Press in the Stop mode to rapidly wind the tape fowards. Press in the Play mode to
activate Forward Search.
ENTER Button - Press to enter information for timer recording and clock setting.
SELECT Button - Selects on-screen picture adjustments.
MUTE Button - Press to turn off the sound. Press again to turn the sound back on.
TV/CAP/TEXT Button - Switches between Caption, Text and TV modes for Closed-Captioned programs.
VOLUME Down (-) Button - Press to lower the volume level or on-screen picture adjustments.
CHANNEL A/Set + and v /Set - Buttons - Press to select a channel or to set Timer Recording and clock.
VOLUME Up (+) Button - Press to increase the volume level or on-screen picture adjustments,
CALL Button - Press to display the present time/day of the week, channel and counter of the TV screen.

CANCEL Button - Press to clear the selected timer recording

PROG. CONF Button - Press to confirm the programmed timer
recording.
PLAY Button - Press to play a prerecorded tape.
REW (Rewind) Button - Press in the Stop mode to rapidly wind
the tape backwards. Press in the Play mode to activate Reverse
Search.
