1.0 (NL) Introductie
Deze installatie handleiding zal je helpen de firmware van de EM4594 te installeren.
Volg de aangegeven stappen nauwkeurig om de firmware correct te installeren.
2.0 (NL) Firmware installeren
We gaan er bij deze firmware update instructie vanuit dat je reeds je repeater hebt
gekoppeld aan je eigen thuisnetwerk. Dit betekent dat je niet direct op de web-
interface van de repeater kunt inloggen via het standaard IP-adres van je repeater
omdat deze een IP-adres heeft gekregen vanuit je router. We gebruiken Windows 10
om je de instructies te geven voor het toevoegen van een statisch IP-adres aan je
netwerkadapter.
1. Download de firmware en sla de firmware op.
2. Het volgend bestand word gedownload:
- EM4594_R0_20181211_Firmware.zip
3. Pak het bestand uit. Je ziet nu het bestand:
ecos.401.90.1.253.1543577882.img.Dit bestand hebben we later nodig om de
repeater te voorzien van een firmware update.
4. Zorg ervoor dat je repeater is aangesloten op je PC/Laptop. Verbind je repeater
van de LAN poort naar de LAN poort van je PC/Laptop met behulp van een
netwerkkabel of maak draadloos verbinding via het SSID van de repeater.
5. Klik op het Windows startmenu pictogram, typ "Configuratiescherm" in de
zoekbalk en klik op "Configuratiescherm".
6. Klik op de link "Netwerkstatus en taken weergeven" onder de kop "Netwerk en
internet". Het volgend scherm verschijnt:
7. Klik op de link aan de linkerkant van het venster met het label
"Adapterinstellingen wijzigen".
8. Je ziet nu de beschikbare netwerkadapters.

9. Selecteer de netwerkadapter waaraan je het statische IP-adres wilt toevoegen en
selecteer “Eigenschappen” met de rechtermuisknop.
10. Selecteer "Internet Protocol versie 4(TCP / IPv4) en klik op “Eigenschappen”.
11. Selecteer "Use the following IP-address" en zorg ervoor dat je een IP-adres
invoert binnen hetzelfde bereik als de repeater.
12. Ter voorbeeld: “IP-Address”= 192.168.10.10
13. Voor “Subnet mask”: 255.255.255.0
14. Klik op “OK” en sluit de eigenschappen.
15. Open je internet browser en type http://192.168.10.1 in je internet browser en klik
op Enter.
16. Het inlogscherm wordt getoond. Vul bij Username: “admin” en Password:
“admin”, of je eigen inloggegevens indien je deze zelf hebt gewijzigd. Klik daarna
op “Login” om in te loggen.

17. Selecteer “Upgrade Firmware”in het menu.
Het volgend scherm verschijnt:

18. klik op “Choose file”en kies het firmware bestand op de locatie waar je het
bestand eerder hebt uitgepakt. Wanneer je het firmware bestand hebt
geselecteerd klik je op “Upload”. Het volgend scherm verschijnt:
19. De repeater zal de instellingen opslaan en herstarten. Dit proces gebeurt
automatisch en duurt ongeveer 40 seconden.
20. Belangrijk!: Verander van Statisch IP-adres terug naar “Obtain automatically an
IP address”. Volg opnieuw de stappen 4 t/m 11. Bij stap 11 kies je voor “Obtain
Automatically an IP address”en “Obtain DNS server address automatically”.

Technische aanpassingen:
•Login bug: zonder inloggegevens via IP-adres/home.htm inloggen op web-
interface van de repeater is niet meer mogelijk.
•Repeater beveiliging verborgen: WPA/WPA2 beveiliging te selecteren voor
repeater modus.

1.0 (UK) Introduction
This installation manual guides you to the installation process of the EM4594
firmware. Use the following steps to correctly install the firmware.
2.0 (UK) Installing the firmware
We will provide you the instructions based on setup that you already have connected
your repeater to your own home network. This means that you cannot log in directly to
the repeater's web interface via the default IP address of your repeater because it has
received an IP address from your router. We use Windows 10 to give you the
instructions to add a static IP address to your network adapter and perform an
firmware upgrade.
1. Download the firmware and save the firmware.
2. The following file will be downloaded:
- EM4594_R0_20181211_Firmware.zip
3. Unzip the downloaded file. You will now see the following file:
ecos.401.90.1.253.1543577882.img.We will need this file to upgrade the
repeaters firmware.
4. Please make sure your repeater is connected to your PC/Laptop. Connect the
repeaters LAN port to the LAN port of your PC/Laptop by using an network cable.
Or connect wirelessly via the SSID from your repeater.
5. Click on the Windows start menu icon, type “Control Panel” in the search bar and
click on “Control Panel”.
6. Click the link “View network status and tasks”under the “Network and Internet”
header. You will see the following screen:
7. Click on the link at the left side of the window labeled “Change adapter settings”.
8. You will now see your available network adapters.

9. Select the network adapter you wish to add the static IP address and select
Properties with your right mouse button.
10. Select “Internet Protocol version 4 ( TCP/IPv4 ) and click on Properties.
11. Select “Use the following IP address” and make sure you enter an IP address in
the same range as the repeater.
12. For example: IP-Address = 192.168.10.10
13. For Subnet mask fill out: 255.255.255.0
14. Press “OK” and close the properties.
15. Launch your internet web browser on your computer and type http://192.168.10.1
in your browsers address bar.
16. You will now see the login page. Please enter the User Name: admin and
Password: admin and then click on “Login” button.
17. Select “Upgrade Firmware”.

18. Click “Choose file”and select the firmware file which you have saved earlier on
your PC/laptop. Click “Upload”. You will see the following screen:

19. The repeater will save the settings and restart. This process will be done
automatically and take approximately 40 seconds.
20. Important!: Change your IP-address back to “Obtain automatically an IP
address”. Follow the instructions 4 upto 11 again. Instruction 11 you choose
“Obtain Automatically an IP address”and “Obtain DNS server address
automatically”.

Technical adjustments:
•Login bug: Login the web-interface without credentials by filling out IP-
adres/home.htm is not possible anymore.
•Repeater hidden encryption: WPA/WPA2 encryption selectable for repeater mode.
