• Zulässiger Umgebungstemperaturbereich am Elektronikgehäuse: –40 °C Ta+80 °C.

Ausführung der Antenne
• Die Antennen des Gerätes enthalten Flächen, die sich elektrostatisch aufladen können. Daher
dürfen diese Antennen nicht so angeordnet werden, dass sie sich durch ein strömendes Medium
(z.B. Befüllstrom) gefährlich aufladen können.

• Der Zusammenhang zwischen zulässiger Umgebungstemperatur für das Elektronikgehäuse in
Abhängigkeit des Einsatzbereiches und der Temperaturklassen ist den Tabellen (→8) zu
entnehmen.
• Nach einer Gehäuse-Ausrichtung (Verdrehen) die Arretierungsschraube wieder fest anziehen
(Innensechskantschraube am Gewindehals).
• Dauergebrauchstemperatur des Kabels Ta+5 K.

• Das Gerät ist mit einem internen Überspannungsschutz (600 V Elektrodenbarrieren) ausgerüstet.
Das metallische Gehäuse ist mit der Tankwand so unmittelbar elektrisch leitend und zuverlässig zu
verbinden, dass ein gesicherter Potentialausgleich besteht.
• Die Geräte nur in solchen Messstoffen einsetzen, gegen die die mediumsberührten Materialien
hinreichend beständig sind.
• Im Falle einer zusätzlichen oder alternativen Sonderlackierung des Gehäuses oder anderer
metallenen Oberflächen ist die Gefahr von elektrostatischer Auf- bzw. Entladung zu beachten.
Oberflächen nicht trocken reiben.
• Ausrichtvorrichtung mit Zentriermutter:
– Nach einer Antennenausrichtung muss die Zentriermutter mit einem Drehmoment von 65 Nm bis
85 Nm angezogen werden.
•Spülvorrichtung:
– die Installation muss im geschlossenen Zustand die Schutzart IP67 aufweisen.
– Spüldruck > Innendruck des Behälters.
– im nicht spülenden Zustand muss entprechender Absperrhahn oder Ventil geschlossen sein.
Bei offenem Ventil oder Absperrhahn und ohne Spülmedium besteht die die Gefahr der
Freisetzung explosibler Atmosphäre und des Flammeneintritts von außen.
Eigensicherheit
• Beim Zusammenschalten des Geräts mit eigensicherem Ex ib-Stromkreis ändert sich das
Schutzniveau in Ex ib. Ex ib-Stromkreise nicht in Zone 0 einsetzen.
• Beim Zusammenschalten des Geräts mit eigensicherem Ex ic-Stromkreis ändert sich das
Schutzniveau in Ex ic. Ex ic-Stromkreise nicht in Zone 0 oder Zone 1 einsetzen.
• Regeln für die Zusammenschaltung von eigensicheren Stromkreisen nach IEC/EN 60079-14
(Nachweis der Eigensicherheit) beachten. (Z.B. bei Verwendung der Commubox oder des
Handbediengerätes DXR375 oder anderen bescheinigten Betriebsmitteln.)

• The antenna on the device contain surfaces, which can become electrostatically charged. For this
reason, these antenna must not be arranged such that they can become dangerously charged from
a flowing medium (e.g. filling curtain).

• Install the device according to the manufacturer's instructions and any other valid standards and
regulations.
• The intrinsically safe input and output power circuits of the device are isolated from ground
potential. The dielectric strength to earth is limited by 600 V electrode arresters.
• Avoid electrostatic charging when cleaning the antenna.
• The relationship between the permitted ambient temperature for the electronics housing,
dependent on the range of application, and the temperature classes is shown in the tables (→14).
• After aligning (rotating) the housing, retighten the fixing screw (allen screw on the threaded neck).
• Continuous duty temperature of the cable Ta+5 K.

• The device is equipped with an internal overvoltage protector (600 V electrode arresters).
Connect the metallic housing to the tank wall (plant ground) directly with an electrically conductive
lead to ensure reliable potential matching.
• Only install the devices in media for which the wetted materials have sufficient durability.
• In case of additional or alternative special varnishing of the enclosure or other metallic parts the
danger of an electrostatic charging must be observed. Do not rub surfaces with dry cloth.
• Alignment device with center nut:
– After alignment of the antenna fasten the center nut with a torque between 65 Nm and 85 Nm.
• Air purge connection:
– In closed state the installation must have ingress protection IP67.
– Purging pressure > internal pressure of the vessel.
– In the not purging state a respective stop cock or valve must be closed. With open valve or stop
cock and without purging fluid explosible atmospheres may be released or flames may enter from
the outside.
Intrinsic safety
• When the device is connected to an intrinsically safe circuit Ex ib, the level of protection changes to
Ex ib. Do not operate intrinsically safe circuits Ex ib in zone 0.
• When the device is connected to an intrinsically safe circuit Ex ic, the level of protection changes to
Ex ic. Do not operate intrinsically safe circuits Ex ic in zone 0 or zone 1.
• The pertinent guidelines must be observed when intrinsically safe circuits are connected together
acc. IEC/EN 60079-14 (Proof of Intrinsic Safety). (E.g. when using the Commubox or DXR375
handheld terminal or other certified apparatus.)

system.
– Establish potential matching both inside and outside of the explosion-hazardous area.
– The cable connecting the overvoltage protector and the measuring device shall be no longer than
1 m.

• Installer d'après les instructions du fabricant et les normes et règles en vigueur.
• Les circuits d'entrée et de sortie à sécurité intrinsèque de l'appareil sont isolé galvaniquement de la
terre. La tenue diélectrique par rapport à la terre est limitée par des électrodes 600 V.
• Eviter tout chargement électrostatique lors du nettoyage des antennes.
• La relation entre la température ambiante admissible pour le boîtier de l'électronique en fonction du
domaine d'application et des classes de température est à déduire des tableaux (→20).
• Après l'orientation du boîtier (rotation), serrer fortement les vis de verrouillage (vis à six pans creux
sur le col du filetage).
• Température de service permanente du câble Ta+5 K.

• L’appareil est muni d’un parafoudre interne (électrode 600 V).
Le boîtier métallique doit être relié électriquement et de manière fiable avec la paroi du réservoir, de
manière à obtenir une compensation de potentiel sûre.
• Utiliser les appareils seulement dans les produits pour lesquels les matériaux en contact avec
ceux-ci offrent une compatibilité suffisante.
• En cas de vernis spécial supplémentaire ou alternatif du boîtier ou d'autres pièces métalliques, il faut
prendre en compte un risque de charge ou de décharge électrostatique. Ne pas frotter les surfaces
avec un chiffon sec.
• Dispositif d'orientation avec écrou de centrage :
– Après une orientation de l'antenne il faut serrer l'écrou de centrage avec un couple de serrage
compris entre 65 Nm et 85 Nm.
• Dispositif de rinçage :
– l'installation doit avoir la protection IP67 à l'état fermé.
– pression de rinçage > pression interne du réservoir.
– un robinet de fermeture ou une vanne correspondants doivent être fermés lorsqu'il n'y a pas de
rinçage; lorsque la vanne ou le robinet de fermeture sont ouverts et en l'absence de produit de
rinçage il peut se produire une atmosphère explosible avec pénétration de flamme depuis
l'extérieur.
Sécurité intrinsèque
• Pour un appareil connecté à un circuit de sécurité intrinsèque Ex ib, le niveau de protection change
en Ex ib. Ne pas utiliser des circuits de sécurité intrinsèque Ex ib en zone 0.
• Pour un appareil connecté à un circuit de sécurité intrinsèque Ex ic, le niveau de protection change
en Ex ic. Ne pas utiliser des circuits de sécurité intrinsèque Ex ic en zone 0 ou zone 1.
• Respecter les règles en matière d'interconnexion de circuits à sécurité intrinsèque selon
CEI/EN 60079-14 (preuve de la sécurité intrinsèque). (Par ex. lors de l'utilisation de Commubox ou
du terminal portable DXR375 ou d'autres matériels électriques certifiés.)
