Introduction
Thank you for your trust in our company and for buying the new eReader Pro 4. We hope you enjoy it.
Your new e-book reader features a 6" E-Ink Carta touchscreen with built-in light and anti-glare system to read under
any lighting conditions. Thanks to the Wi-Fi connection and Android operating system you will be able to open
thousands of apps. All these features, the advanced reading settings, the lightweight design and the 8 GB internal
memory turn your device into the perfect partner for your reading sessions.
We strongly recommend to read this manual in order to familiarize yourself with your eReader Pro 4 before using it.
It will only take a few minutes and it will help you to make the most of all its features.
Care and maintenance
Keep your e-book reader clean and free of dust using a soft and dry cloth.
Do not use neither corrosive nor abrasive cleaning products.
Do not put too much pressure on the screen of the device.
Do not expose your e-book reader to impacts, dust, direct sunlight, humidity or high temperatures for long
periods of time.
Do not remove the microSD card or turn off the device while reading or writing data in order not to lose
information.
Do not place your e-book reader near devices that generate strong electromagnetic elds since this can
lead to damage or loss of data.
Make backup copies regularly and save them on an external storage unit. Energy Sistem will not be
responsible for any loss or damage to stored data.
Do not leave your e-book reader completely discharged for a long time.
Do not dismantle your e-book reader. All reparation works should be carried out exclusively by qualied staff
of Energy Sistem Technology, S.A.

Charging the device
Your eReader Pro 4 has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. To charge the battery, plug one end of the provided
microUSB cable to any charger with USB Type-A port or to your computer and the other cable end to the microUSB
port (2) that is to be found at the bottom of the device.
It takes between 3 and 5 hours to charge the battery depending on the type of charger you choose.
Memory expansion
Your eReader Pro 4 has a 8 GB ash memory to store books and apps. If you want to expand the storage capacity,
you can insert a microSD card of up to 128 GB into the eReader's microSD slot (1) .
Switching the device on and off
To switch on your eReader Pro 4 press and hold the power button (3) until the startup image appears. You will
have to press the very same button to switch off the device. Press and hold this button until the shutdown menu
appears on screen and select OK.
You can also turn on the standby mode by pressing this button once. While the device is in this low-power mode,
you will be able to return to the previous screen by pressing the same button again.

Tap: Touch the screen briey
Press and hold: Touch the screen for an extended period of time
Zoom: Pinch the screen with two ngers to zoom in or out
Turn pages: Slide your nger quickly over the screen. You can also use the side buttons.

Main apps icons You will be able to set up the app shortcuts that you would like to see on the main screen
by clicking on Settings, Other settings, Desktop apps.
Home: . You will return to the main screen.
Back: . This option allows you to go back to the previous screen shown by the application that is
running.
Sometimes, you will also nd the additional settings icon: . Press this icon to access the advanced
settings.
Wi-Fi . This option shows the intensity of the Wi-Fi signal.
Battery . It shows your eReader's battery level.
Hour: Indica la hora actual.
Wi-Fi settings
Your eReader Pro 4 has a Wi-Fi connection. In order to connect your device to a wireless network, you just have to
go to 1 Settings, Wi-Fi and select ON . The device will start then a search of all available wireless
networks and you will only have to select one of them to connect it.

Connect your devices to the network by entering the password.
Important: Once you have completed the authentication process successfully, your eReader will save the Wi-Fi
access data and your devide will be ready to access the Internet. The device will remember the network and will
automatically connect to it whenever it is available.
You can set the Wi-Fi connection to turn off automatically when your e-book reader goes into standby mode by
going to menu Settings, Wi-Fi, Additional settings, Advanced settings.

Internet browser:
Your eReader Pro 4 can access the Internet through the Wi-Fi connection. Once the device is connected to a Wi-Fi
network, press the Browser icon in the main menu or in the application menu to run the programme. The system
will load and display the home page set by default. You can use the browser to download your contents from the
cloud and access them through the Downloads app.
Gmail:
Gmail is the default e-mail client. This app allows you to access Google e-mail, as well as any other e-mail account
with the correct settings. Note: To get to know your account settings, please ask your e-mail service provider.
Books:
Here you will be able to see all books stored on the internal memory or microSD card.
You can select the way in which books are displayed by pressing the view mode icon in the e-book explorer:
list mode, thumbnail view 1 or thumbnail view 2 (preview of your e-book covers). Click on the chosen
book cover to open the book you want to read.
Important: If the le has been saved on a microSD/SDHC card, it will be displayed in the list but it won't be possible
to open it if the microSD/SDHC card has been removed.

There are several functions that you can use while reading a book. Press the centre of the page while you are in
read mode to access the menu:
Go to page: . This option allows you to enter the exact page number that you want to see. You just
have to click on the page number that appears to change it.
Change font size: . Press the icons on screen to increase or decrease font size until your get the
font size that you want. - Change font type: . You can select the font that you
prefer from the font list provided.
Change line spacing: . This option allows you to choose the line spacing that you prefer in
order to read comfortably.
Change margins: . This option allows you to choose the margins that you prefer in order to

read comfortably.
Turn page automatically: . In order to start this action, please enable the Autopage mode by pressing
"ON". You can also set the time to turn the page in accordance with the reading speed that you prefer.
Rotate screen: . This option allows you to rotate the screen vertically and horizontally. You can choose
the option that suits you best from the rotation options that appear.
Information about the book : . This option allows you to see all the information about the book that you
are reading. It may happen that not all book data are displayed or that only some of them appear. This
depends on the publisher of the book.
Add bookmark: . Add bookmarks to make your reading experience easier. Bookmarks are listed
accordingly and you will be able to access them whenever you want.
Settings menu: . This option allows you to open the menu to view, open or delete notes, bookmarks
and comments.
Open/ delete bookmarks: . Press the bookmark that you want to see to open it. Press and hold the
bookmark that you want to delete and the delete option will appear.
Word search: . You will be able to see where the word is and open that page with a simple tap.
Dictionary
Your eReader Pro 4 has a function called "Dictionary" that allows you to install any database that supports StarDict
format, one of the most extended electronic formats used for online dictionaries. These databases have been
created with free GNU (GPL) tools.
You will be able to use both the dictionaries from renowned publishers and free dictionaries created by
communities or even create your own dictionaries.
In order to be able to use the Dictionary app on your eReader, you have to download the les of the dictionary you
prefer to your computer rst. Dictionaries that support StarDict format usually consist of 3 les in .dz (o .dict), .idz
(or .idx) and *.ifo formats. You will need the three of them to use the dictionary. Please follow these easy steps to
install them on your eReader:
1) Connect your eReader to your computer and access its internal memory using the le explorer in your
computer.
2) Once you have opened the main or root folder, create a folder and call it "dict" (for instance, x:/dict/)
3) Copy the dictionaries in this folder or create subfolders with the names of the dictionaries that you want
to add (Drae, Catalan-Spanish, etc...)
4) Once the installation is completed, restart your e-book reader.
Once the dictionaries are installed and you have restarted the e-book reader, you will be able to use this function
while the device is in read mode by pressing for a few seconds the word that you would like and choosing
Reference in the pop-up window.
