Safety Instructions
Caution: Your wireless telephone gives you freedo and flexibility to
stay in touch while you ove around. However, when using your phone
equip ent, safety instructions should be followed to avoid the risks of
fire, electric shock, injury to person, and da age to property.
General Safety Instructions
1. When using your wireless phone, ensure your safety and the safety of others:
a. Always wat h where you are walking and standing.
b. Don’t let a phone all distra t you from working safely.
. If power goes out, it won’t work. Re ommend ba kup power.
2. In an emergen y:
a. If an emergen y o urs, dial the emergen y phone number. Remember: if
you are in an area where your phone does not have a lear signal from the
base, it is highly probable that the all may not go through. Lo ate the
nearest landline telephone or other ommuni ations devi e to all for help.
b. Emergen y alls may not automati ally provide emergen y personnel with
your name, phone number or lo ation.
3. Noti e to Hearing Aid Users: This phone system is ompatible with indu tively
oupled hearing aids.
4. Noti e to Cardia Pa emaker Users: Preliminary studies done by the US FDA
and others have shown that, although interferen e to the implanted ardia
pa emaker may o ur when operating very losely, wireless telephones “do not
seem to pose a signifi ant problem for pa emaker wearers.” However, until
more is known, FDA suggests that people with pa emakers may want to take
pre autions when using or arrying a wireless telephone to ensure that there is
ample distan e between the telephone and the pa emaker. Do not arry the
handset in a breast po ket. If you have any reason to suspe t that interferen e
is taking pla e, turn off your handset immediately.
Product Safety Instructions
1. Read and understand all instru tions.
2. Follow all warnings and instru tions in luding those marked on the produ t.

3. Changes or modifi ations to this produ t not expressively approved by the
manufa turer will void the warranty and the FCC authorization to operate the
equipment. Use only manufa turer provided a essories.
4. Do not use the telephone near water. Never spill liquid of any kind on this
produ t.
5. Unplug the produ t from the wall telephone ja k and power outlet before
leaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol leaners. Use damp loth for leaning.
6. Do not pla e this produ t on an unstable art, stand, or table. The produ t may
fall and ause personal injury or damage to the produ t or other property.
7. Power Outage: In the event of a power outage, your handset harger will not
re harge the handset battery, and the base station will not allow you to make
an outgoing all or take an in oming all. Both the harger and the base station
require ele tri ity for operation. You should have a telephone that does not
require ele tri ity available for use during power outage, or have a temporary
ba kup power supply.
8. Slots or openings in the produ t’s housing are provided for ventilation. These
openings must not be blo ked or overed. Pla ing the produ t on a bed,
arpeting, or other similar surfa e may blo k these openings and should be
avoided. This produ t should never be pla ed near or over a radiator or heat
register, or in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.
9. Never push obje ts of any kind into this produ t through housing
slots/openings as they may damage the produ t, tou h dangerous voltage
points or short out parts that ould result in fire, ele tri sho k, or injury.
10. This produ t should be operated only from the type of power sour e indi ated
on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your
home, onsult your dealer or lo al power ompany.
11. Do not overload wall power outlets and extension ords as this may result in
fire or ele tri sho k.
12. To avoid ele tri sho k or burn, do not disassemble this produ t. Send this
produ t to an authorized servi e enter when servi e or repair work is required.
Call Customer Servi e for lo ations near you. Opening or removing overs may
expose you to dangerous voltages, ele tri al urrents or other risks. In orre t
reassembling of the produ t may ause ele tri sho k when the produ t is
subsequently used.
13. Avoid using the produ t during a storm. There may be a risk of ele tri sho k
from lightning.
14. Do not pla e the produ t where persons an step, trip, or fall on it.
15. Do not pla e ondu tive obje ts over or near the antenna.

16. Do not use the produ t to report a gas leak while in the vi inity of the leak.
17. Do not install the base station or the handset harger near mi rowave ovens,
radios, TV sets, speakers, or other ele tri al equipment. These applian es may

18. Unplug the base station or the harger adaptor from the power outlet and refer
to an authorized servi e enter under the following onditions:
a. If liquid has been spilled into the produ t.
b. When the power supply ord or plug is damaged or frayed.
. If the produ t has been exposed to rain or water.
d. If the produ t does not operate normally by following the operating
instru tions.
e. If the produ t has been dropped or housing has been damaged.
f. If the produ t shows a distin t hange in performan e.
Battery Safety Instructions
1. Use only manufa turer approved Li-ion re hargeable batteries and harger. Do
not use other types of re hargeable batteries or non-re hargeable batteries.
The batteries ould short- ir uit, and the battery en losure may be damaged
ausing a hazardous ondition.
2. Follow the harging instru tion in this manual and instru tion labels and
markings in the handset and harger ompartments.
3. Battery must be re y led or disposed of properly. Do not dispose the battery in
a fire. The ells may explode.
4. Do not dispose of the battery in muni ipal waste. Che k with lo al odes for
disposal instru tions.
5. Exer ise are in handling the batteries in order not to short- ir uit the battery
with ondu tive materials su h as rings, bra elets, keys, po ketknife, and oins.
The battery or ondu tive material may overheat and ause burn or fire.
6. Do not expose batteries to rain or water.
7. Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released ele trolyte is orrosive and may
ause injury to eyes or skin. The ele trolyte may be toxi if swallowed.
8. During harging, the battery heats up. This is normal and is not dangerous.

Getting Started
Handset and Charger Installation
1. Plug the transformer end of the Charger AC/DC adaptor into a standard AC
ele tri power outlet, plug the other end into the “DC In” ja k on the ba k of
the Charger.
2.
Install battery
pa k onto the handset.
3.
Install handset antenna.
4.
Pla e handset onto the harger front slot.
5.
Fully harge the battery for three hours before use.
6. The phone system is now ready to perform basi fun tions su h as making and
re eiving phone alls and inter om alls. No base station or handset
programming is needed for basi operations.
Note:
1. Handset(s) pa kaged along with a Base Station are pre-
registered at the fa tory. If you have a new handset, you will
need to register the handset with the base station in order to
be re ognized as a member handset by the base(s) and by
other handsets. See Handset Registration.

Basic Operations
Operation Modes
Both the base station and handset have levels of operation at whi h time only
ertain pro edures of fun tions an be performed.
A. Base Operation Modes
1. IDLE mode- this is the default mode. The inter om, broad ast, and volume
keys are a tive in IDLE mode

2. TALK mode- the base operates in this mode during phone all, inter om, and
broad ast operation. The “In Use”, “Inter om”, and “Broad ast” LED will light
up respe tively.
3. REGISTRATION mode- the base enters this mode by pressing the REG button
for three se onds. There are no a tive base unit keys on e this mode has been
entere

Making a Telephone Call
1. Press , wait for dial tone, and then enter phone number.

When using this method, you an use the CLEAR (Left) and DELETE (Right) soft
keys to edit the number entered. “Delete” erases the last digit entered.
“Clear” erases the entire line but remains in the dialing mode.

3-Way Conferencing (Register to PRO base only)
1. While a telephone all is in progress, you an pla e all on hold
and bring in another phone line or another handset for a 3-way
onferen e.
2. Press HOLD (Right) soft key to put the urrent all on hold.

Press OPTION (Right) soft key to enter sele tion menu.
4. 3-Way Conferen ing with a Se ond Handset:
a. Press number 2 and enter a two-digit Handset ID to all
another handset extension.
b.
After the se ond handset answers, press the
CONF
(Left) soft

key.
. Two handsets and one phone line an now talk
simultaneously. Any one party an drop out of the 3-way
onferen ing, leaving the remaining two parties still
onne ted.
5. 3-Way Conferen ing with a Se ond Phone Line:
a. Press number 1 and enter a phone number to all another
phone line.
b.
After the se
ond line answers, press the
CONF
(Left) soft key.
. One handset and two phone lines an now talk
simultaneously.
I. If one phone line hangs up, the handset ontinues
talking to the remaining phone line.
II. If the handset presses key, the 2nd phone line
will be dropped. The handset and the first phone line
ontinue onversation.
Notes:
1. 3-way onferen ing between 3 handsets is not supported.
2. Unlike 3-way onferen ing provided by the phone ompany, 3-way
onferen ing involving 2 phone lines will take up two physi al lines, leaving
only two lines left available for other handsets. The handset must have a ess
to a se ond line.
Base Select (Register to PRO base only )
1. A handset an manually sele t the desired base station before
a ess outbound line.
2.
Press handset MENU (Right) soft key.
3. Press the number 5 , this will enter the handset setting menu.
4.
Press number 3 , handset enters Base Sele t setting mode.
5 Use or arrow to s roll up and down the sele tion
on/Off.
6. Make a sele tion (default =off), and press SAVE (Left softkey).
