Conditions of Guarantee
Your ESSE ooker is guaranteed against defe ts arising from faulty manufa ture for three years, subje t to the following express onditions:
• This ooker must be ommissioned by your ESSE Dealer (or an authorised GAS SAFE engineer) upon installation. The details must
be re orded on the Commissioning Card and registered with ESSE by returning the ompleted ard. The guarantee period om-
men es upon delivery of the ooker (subje t to re eipt of the orre tly ompleted ard).
• The ooker has been used for normal domesti purposes only, and in a ordan e with the manufa turer’s instru tions.
• The ooker is servi ed annually by the ESSE Dealer or authorised GAS SAFE engineer, and the Servi e Re ord ompleted.
• The ooker must not be servi ed, maintained, repaired, taken apart or tampered with by any person not authorised by us.
• Any ooker or defe tive part repla ed shall be ome the Company’s property.
Exclusions
This guarantee does not over:
• Damage OR alls resulting from transportation, improper use or negle t.
• Parts deemed to be repla eable in the normal usage of the ooker. These parts are listed herewith: oven thermostat, gas
valve, piezo ignition lead, pilot assembly, timer/programmer and atalyser assembly.
• Enamel damage; the vitreous oating on your ooker is in effe t an extremely thin layer of glass and as su h displays all the hara teristi s
of glass. It an easily be damaged by impa t, or by spillage of old liquids onto a hot surfa e. Su h damage annot be overed under
this guarantee. (See also intermittent use of your ooker, below).
This guarantee is personal to the original pur haser and is non-transferable.
Intermittent Use of Your Cooker
In the event of intermittent use and prolonged shutdown, it should be noted that in some ir umstan es enamel may be displa ed due to
ingress of damp. Whilst this is rare, it is most likely to o ur in situations where the unused ooker remains in a unheated property. There is a
layer (known as the ground oat) between the vitreous enamel surfa e and the ast iron. Ground oat is porous and if exposed (e.g. after a
hip in the vitreous enamel oat), may allow damp to penetrate behind the vitreous enamel and spread through the ground oat. Surfa e
oxidisation of the ast iron may thereafter o ur, ausing the vitreous enamel to fall off. Su h damage will not be overed by your warranty.
We re ommend that a light oating of petroleum jelly be applied to any damaged areas when the ooker is not in use to help keep out the
damp, in addition to following instru tions in your Operating Manual.
Customer Care
In the event you should require spare parts, please order through your ESSE dealer.
Should you have ause for dissatisfa tion with your ooker, you should onta t your ESSE dealer, who will, in most instan es, be able to
offer you immediate assistan e. You will be required to give the following details.
• Your name, address and post ode.
• Your telephone/ onta t details.
• Clear and on ise details of the fault.
• Model and serial number of the ooker (found on the inside panel of the firebox/ ontrol door).
• Pur hase date (please note that a valid pur hase re eipt or guarantee do umentation is required for in-guarantee servi e alls).
We will then he k that we have an a urately ompleted warranty ard, if not then any work arried out will be harged.
We will a ess the nature of the omplaint and either send repla ement parts for your dealer to fit, send an engineer to inspe t & report, or
send an engineer to remedy. If the fault is not a tually due to faulty workmanship but some other ause su h as misuse or failure to install
orre tly, a harge will be made to over the ost of the visit and any new parts required, even during the warranty period. Home visits are
made between 08 30 - 17 00 hrs. Monday to Friday, and are arranged for either a morning or afternoon appointment.
