EZ DCIT-0010-DC User manual

RANDOM VACATION MODE DCIT0011DC only
To make the program repeat daily at the same time, press the REPEAT
button.
REPEAT ON will display in the upper right corner of the screen and the
current timer program will repeat every day.
To cancel the daily repeat function, press the REPEAT button again and
REPEAT ON will be changed to REPEAT OFF.

The Random mode changes the RUN TIME start and end times by up to +/-
30 minutes creating a more "lived in" appearance.
If RANDOM is turned on, the timer will start up to + or - 30 minutes from
the programmed start time and will end up to + or - 30 minutes from the
end of the programmed run time.
Example: If the RUN TIME is set to start at 6:00PM, when in RANDOM mode,
it could start as early as 5:30PM or as late as 6:30PM. The timer will turn on
at randomly selected times within this range daily until the RANDOM mode
is turned o.
If the If the RUN TIME is set to stop at 10:00PM, when in RANDOM mode, it
could stop as early as 9:30PM or as late as 10:30PM. The timer will turn o at
randomly selected times within this range daily until the RANDOM mode is
turned o.
Press the RUN TIME button to set how long you want the device
plugged into the timer to be on (after the delay start countdown is
over).
Each press of the button increases the run time by 1 minute. Press
and hold the button to scroll fast. Set from 1 minute (00:01) up to
24 hours (24:00).
Example: The Run Time is set for 4 hours. When the program is
activated, the RUN TIME will count down from 4:00 down to 00:00. The
words RUN TIME will ash during the countdown.
When the timer display shows 00:00 the Run Time icon will stop
ashing and the device that is plugged into the timer will turn o.
STEP 3: SET RUN TIME
GETTING STARTED
1 Pull the sticker o the screen
2 Plug the timer into a grounded electrical outlet for 30
minutes to charge the battery
3 After 30 minutes, remove the timer from the outlet and
move to Step 1
STEP 2: SET DELAY START
Press the DELAY START button to set when the timer will turn on.
Each press of the button increases the delay by 1 minute. Press and
hold the button to scroll fast. Set from instantly on (00:00) up to a 24
hour delay (24:00).
Example: The current time is 7:30AM. You want the device plugged
into the timer to turn on at 6:30PM. Set the "DELAY START" to 11:00
(eleven hours from when you program the timer).
Countdown to when the timer will start begins 5 seconds after being set.
Use the ON/OFF button to switch between TIMER ON and
TIMER OFF modes.
TIMER ON: when set to on, the timer will turn on/o the device
plugged into the timer as programmed.
TIMER OFF: when set to o, the timer will not control the device
plugged into the timer and the power in the outlet will remain
constant.
Use the ON/OFF button to switch between TIMER ON and
TIMER OFF modes.

plugged into the timer as programmed.

button (small recessed button at the bottom). This will completely
erase the current programming.

Timer will continue to operate on battery backup if the power goes out;
however it will not turn attached devices on or o. Once power is restored,
programming will resume. If power remains out longer than the battery
backup will operate, re-program the timer as explained in this programing
guide. NOTE: Battery is permanently installed and not replaceable. It
automatically recharges when power is provided to the timer.

THIS TIMER IS A “POLARIZED” DEVICE
It has a polarized plug and receptacle. One blade on the
male plug is wider than the other and is only intended for
use with a polarized outlet. Use with a three-pronged grounded outlet
is also acceptable.

Option 2:
When the DELAY START icon is ashing:
Press the DELAY START button to stop the current countdown
immediately and continue pressing to input a new delay start time
as described in STEP 2 above.
If desired, press the RUN TIME button to input a new run time as
described in STEP 3 above.
When the RUN TIME icon is ashing:
Press the RUN TIME button to input a new run time as desired. The
current power output will not be cut o.
If you press the DELAY START button, the RUN TIME icon will stop
ashing and the power in the outlet will be cut o immediately.
Press the DELAY START button to input a new delay time as
described in STEP 2 above.

When the DELAY START icon is ashing:
Press the DELAY START button to stop the current countdown
