3 INSTALLATION
3.1 WARNINGS
Comply with all the instructions in the "GENERAL WARNINGS" chapter.
Install a multi-pole power switch on the peripheral mains power supply with a contact opening
distance equivalent to or greater than 3 mm. It is advisable to use a 6A circuit breaker with
omnipolar switching.
Verify that an upstream of the dierential protection is present.
Make sure the earthing system has been set up accordingly by connecting the specic earth
terminal (yellow/green) of the peripheral.
On the parking area lanes, you must clearly display appropriate signs (not supplied by the FAAC
S.p.A.) prohibiting pedestrians from transiting.
Where an exclusive entrance/exit for pedestrians is not possible, it is essential to comply with the
regulations in force (in particular with the following standards: EN 12453 and EN 12445).
On the parking area entrance lane, you must clearly display appropriate signs (not supplied by the
FAAC S.p.A.) indicating the prices and the parking rules.
3.2 INSTALLATION ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
▫The vehicular lane must be constructed so that the vehicles coming from different directions can easily get close to
the column, in order to enable the user to draw the ticket or present a valid card to the transit without any difculty.
▫The equipment must be installed on an island raised 15 cm above the street level. If this is not possible, protective
structures must be installed around the base of the two columns (perpheral and barrier). Also raise the device ParQube
of 15 cm from the lane surface, in order to remain the same height of the control elements (buttons, printer and
scanner).
▫The lane must not allow simultaneous access to two or more vehicles side by side. For this reason, the width of the lane
must be adequately sized according to the type of vehicle generally used.
▫ Sufcient space should be provided for each parking system component in order to easily perform all the installation
and maintenance operations required.
