SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Please read through the entire instruction manual before starting any of the installation procedures.
2. We recommend disconnecting the negative side of the battery until ready to code the vehicle.
3. Do not install any of the main modules near any major components or near the HVAC system,
as placing items near the HVAC may cause damage or overheating to the vehicle or interface.
4. We recommend not disconnecting any of the air bag connections behind the dash panels.
5. This product is under Crux’s 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty may be voided in the case where
the device shows proof of being opened or improper extreme force.

Uninstall the RVCFD-79 before
performing a vehicle system reash.
Reinstall the RVCFD-79 afterwards.

DIP SWITCHES OVERVIEW
Make sure to set dip switch number 6
to “ON” position on both modules.
For the RVC feature, you will only
need to set dip switch “2” on
the C-125 module only.
For Video In-Motion options
refer to GPS or No GPS.

CONNECTING THE INTERFACE
Follow these steps to properly install both the C-125 and C-500 interface modules.
Step 1 - Remove the factory display to gain access to the factory 54-Pin connector.
Located behind the display, not the radio. Remove the factory 54-Pin connector.
Step 2 - Using the provided 54-Pin T-Harness, mate both sides of the harness. To the factory harness side and back into the radio side.

CONNECTING THE INTERFACE
Follow these steps to properly install both the C-125 and C-500 interface modules.
Step 3 - Connect both the C-125 and C-500 modules to their proper 8-Pin connectors on the provided T-Harness.
Make sure all your connections are firmly inserted into each module.
Step 4 - After connecting the modules, set dip switch number “6” to the “ON” position on both modules.
Make sure to match both modules for dip switch number 6.

CODING THE VEHICLE
In order to activate the Rear-View Camera feature, the installer must CODE the car first.
Step 5 - With the T-Harness and interface modules properly connected, turn the ignition to the “ON” position.
For Push-Start vehicles, simply press the button once to place the vehicle “ON”.
Step 6 - When the radio powers up, turn the radio ON and select the FM Radio source.
This step simply helps in verifying the interface is corresponding with the radio.

CODING THE VEHICLE
In order to activate the Rear-View Camera feature, the installer must CODE the car first.
Step 7 - While listening to the FM Source, place dip switch number “2” to the “ON” position on the C-125 module only.
Leave the C-500 module alone. The screen will power off and begin to reset.
LED STATUS AND DESCRIPTION
BLUE LED:
Blinking = No BUS Detected.
Solid = BUS Recognized.
OFF = Power Down/ Sleep mode.
RED LED:
ON = Power On
OFF = Power OFF
Step 8 - Wait for the interface to reboot, the progress bar will show percentage completed.
This process may take up to 1 minute. Once completed the FM Radio Source will continue to play as it was before the reboot.

CAMERA ACTIVATION AND INSTALLATION
An easy way to test if the Rear-View Camera coding was completed correctly is to place the vehicle into Reverse gear.
Step 9 - With the Rear-View Camera disconnected, Start the vehicle and place the vehicle into the Reverse gear.
The radio display will prompt you with an error message of “Camera Unavailable”. This verifies the coding was a success!
Step 10 - Now you may proceed to installing the Rear-View Camera. Make sure to use the C-125 8-Pin connector for REVERSE and GROUND
for the camera. (See Installation Overview) Note: The vehicle display offers a Zoom + and Zoom - option, this interface does not
support this option.

ACTIVATING THE VIDEO IN-MOTION
There are several ways to activate the Video In-Motion, depending on the options available to the vehicle. This page will guide you through the
known options available.
Option 1 - Permanent Activation: By activating dip switch number “1” to the “ON” position the Video In-Motion is permanently active.
Note: With this option active, the GPS antenna (If available) will not be able to update in real time.
OPTION 2 - Non-Permanent: There are some vehicles that will allow you to activate the Video In-Motion through the steering wheel controls.
Currently there are two known SWC types: Be aware that with any of the options other that option 1, dip switch number 1 must be
set to “OFF”. Note: If the vehicle has GPS, deactivating the Video In-Motion will allow you real time updates.
TYPE 1 - Seen on Ford Edge and C-Max. TYPE 2 - Seen on Ford F-Series vehicles.
Hold the BACK button (Left Arrow) for 3 Hold the PHONE button (OK) for 4 seconds

ACTIVATING THE VIDEO IN-MOTION
There are several ways to activate the Video In-Motion, depending on the options available to the vehicle. This page will guide you through the
known options available.
Option 3 - Non-Permanent: This is the most universal method of Enabling/ Disabling the Video In-Motion. This method will work on all
applications, regardless of the SWC type or GPS and Non-GPS. The diagram below will assist you on how to connect the
Toggle Switch. Be aware that with any of the options other that option 1, dip switch number 1 must be set to “OFF”.
Step 1: Use both GREEN wires form both modules to toggle the Video In-Motion.
Step 2: Tap the RED (12v Constant) wire from the 8-Pin connector on the C-500 module to power the Toggle Switch, or the C-125.
Step 3: Mount the switch in an accessible location to be able to activate and deactivate at your convenience.
