• Please, read this manual with attention before installing your new device.
• Keep this manual with you to check the functioning procedures and the
security information.
• We recommend that a professional, with experience in the field of installation
of vehicle devices, is the one to install this interface.
• The car ignition must be off during the entire installation process.

PRESENTATION

INSTALLING

Follow the steps below to install the FT-RC-AUD3 interface:
1st Remove the original radio to install the interface;
2nd Setup the interface’s DIP Switches according to the chart on “DIP SWITCH-
ES” section;
3rd Connect the whips according to the “CONNECTIONS” section;
4th Install the rear camera(s) and/or front camera according to the chart on the
“VIDEO CONNECTIONS” section.
Setup the interface’s DIP Switches while the device is disconnected from the
whip and the car ignition is off.

The parking lines do not offer 100% precision on the track they show. Use
them only as an auxiliary resource as you park your vehicle.
Important Notice:

Rear Camera
Once you put your vehicle on reverse, the rear camera will automatically show
on the screen.
As you spin the steering wheel, the parking lines will move, showing the vehi-
cle’s approximate direction as you keep going.
Press the OK button on the steering wheel while you are on gear to alter
between the rear camera visualization and the parking sensor.
FUNCTIONING
Front Camera
When you put the car on reverse,
then switch the gear to N or D, the
front camera will automatically
appear on the screen. The camera
will remain turned on for 30
seconds, or until the car reaches the
speed of 15 km/h (9.32 mph) or if
you press the OK button on the
steering wheel (see image of the OK
button on the next page).

Camera Visualization
You can view the installed cameras while the vehicle is moving at any time, by
following the steps below:
• Press and hold the OK button on the steering wheel for 3 seconds. This will
show you the rear camera;
• Simply touch the OK button to switch between the rear camera and front view
camera (in case they both are installed);
• Press and hold the OK button for 3 seconds to exit the camera view and return
to the original menu.

1. After installing the device, the multimedia won’t turn on.
• Review the installation process and check if all the connections have been
made according to the charts on pages 3 and 4;
• Check if the connectors are plugged in tight;
• Check if the terminals inside the connectors are aligned;
• Check if there isn’t any wire loose from the whip.
2. When I put the car on reverse, I see two parking lines.
• Turn off the parking lines for the rear camera. In order to do that, check the
camera’s manual.
3. On the rear camera or on the front camera, I see an “incompatible video”
message.
• Check if the installed camera is compatible. FT-RC-AUD3 only works with a
NTSC video system camera, any other format is not compatible;
4. When I switch my car out of gear, I see a “front camera” message, and
the screen goes black with a “No Signal” warning.
• Check the DIP Switch 1. If you are not installing a front camera, keep that
switch DOWN;
• If you have installed a front camera, check its installation (power plug, video
connections, etc.)

FAAFTECH assures their clients a 01 (one) year period against defects in mate-
rials and workmanship, proved by presenting both the receipt of purchase from
the reseller to the costumer and the present Warranty Certificate filled, observ-
ing the following:
1. FAAFTECH will null the warranty if Faaftech or their authorized technical
assistance concludes that the equipment suffered from damage caused by poor
usage, by inadequate installing, by accidents (crashes, falls, and others), or if
there are any signs of the product having been violated, adjusted or fixed by
non-authorized personnel;
2. The Warranty Certificate is only valid when filled and presented together with
the receipt from the reseller to the costumer, as well as the attendance number
that is generated by our Technical Support, which can be reached from the num-
bers: [phone] (landlines only) or [phone]. From Mondays
to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (GMT -03:00).
3. Any repairs and maintenances of the equipment still covered by the warranty
will be exclusively handled by FAAFTECH.
4. This warranty will not cover any products with unreadable or adulterated serial
code numbers.
5. The expenses with shipping, securing and packaging are not covered by this
warranty, and they are the full responsibility of the owner of this equipment.
