RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS
The Instructions for Use apply to several versions of this appliance.
Accordingly, you may find descriptions of individual features that do not
apply to your specific appliance.
INSTALLATION
• The manufacturer will not be held liable for any damages resulting from
incorrect or improper installation.
• The minimum safety distance between the cooker top and the extractor hood
is 650 mm (some models can be installed at a lower height, please refer to
the paragraphs on working dimensions and installation).
• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the rating
plate fixed to the inside of the hood.
• For Class I appliances, check that the domestic power supply guarantees
adequate earthing.
Connect the extractor to the exhaust flue through a pipe of minimum
diameter 120 mm. The route of the flue must be as short as possible.
• Do not connect the extractor hood to exhaust ducts
carrying combustion fumes (boilers, fireplaces, etc.).
• If the extractor is used in conjunction with non-electrical
appliances (e.g. gas burning appliances), a sufficient
degree of aeration must be guaranteed in the room in
order to prevent the backflow of exhaust gas. The
kitchen must have an opening communicating directly
with the open air in order to guarantee the entry of clean air. When the
cooker hood is used in conjunction with appliances supplied with energy
other than electric, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 0,04
mbar to prevent fumes being drawn back into the room by the cooker hood.
• The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for
exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other
fuels (not applicable to appliances that only discharge the
air back into the room).
• In the event of damage to the power cable, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or by the technical service
department, in order to prevent any risks.

• If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance
specified above, this has to be taken into account. Regulations concerning
the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.
• Use only screws and small parts in support of the hood.
Warning: Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with
these instructions may result in electrical hazards.
• Connect the hood to the mains through a two-pole switch having a contact
gap of at least 3 mm.
USE
• The extractor hood has been designed exclusively for domestic use to
eliminate kitchen smells.
• Never use the hood for purposes other than for which it has been designed.
• Never leave high naked flames under the hood when it is in operation.
• Adjust the flame intensity to direct it onto the bottom of the pan only, making
sure that it does not engulf the sides.
• Deep fat fryers must be continuously monitored
during use: overheated oil can burst into flames.
• Do not flambè under the range hood; risk of fire.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• “CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking
appliances.”
MAINTENANCE
•Switch off or unplug the appliance from the mains supply before carrying out
any maintenance work.
• Clean and/or replace the Filters after the specified time period (Fire hazard).
• The Grease filters must be cleaned every 2 months of operation, or more
frequently for particularly heavy usage, and can be washed in a dishwasher.
• The Activated charcoal filter is not washable and cannot be regenerated,
and must be replaced approximately every 4 months of operation, or more
frequently for particularly heavy usage.
• "Failure to carry out cleaning as indicated will result in a fire hazard".
• Clean the hood using a damp cloth and a neutral liquid detergent.
The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product
may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the
applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic
equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help
prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human
health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of
this product. For more detailed information about recycling of this product,
please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or
the shop where you purchased the product.

INSTALLATION
Boring the wall
If you want to use the hood in suction version with the air outlet at the back of the hood, make
sure to follow the indications given below in the drawing for a correct boring operation of the air
outlet opening.
When installing the hood in recycling version it has to be taken into consideration that space re-
maining between the hood and the upper limit (ceiling or self) is at least 8-10 cm.
On the wall, trace:
• a vertical line up to the ceiling or top limit, at the centre of the area where you intend to fit
the hood;
• a horizontal line at: 550 mm min. above the cooking hob;
• As shown, mark a reference point at 808 mm above the horizontal reference line, and at X
mm (X= see table in figure) to the right of the vertical reference line.
• Repeat this operation on the opposite side, checking levelling.
• Drill the points marked using a ø 12 mm bit
• Insert plugs with screws and brackets 11a in the holes then tighten them.

Hood body assembly
• Adjust the two screws Vr of brackets 11a, by just placing them
in position.
• Hook the hood body to the two brackets 11a.
• Pull the Comfort Panel to open it, remove the filters one by
one, push them towards the rear part of the unit and pull
downwards at the same time .
• From inside the hood body, tighten the screws Vr to level the
body.

Connection
AIR OUTLET IN A DUCTING HOOD VERSION
When installing the hood in ducting version, basing on the in-
staller’s choice, a rigid or a flexible pipe with a ø 150 or 120 mm
is used in order to connect the hood to the air outlet piping. The
pipe connection can be made on the upper part or on the rear side
of the hood.
Before connecting the hood to the air outlet ducting remove the
lateral air outlet grid 8and the plastic tube 7. The adapting flange
9has to be removed only in case the connecting diameter is 150.
REAR AIR OUTLET
• When drilling the air outlet hole in the wall proceed in accor-
dance with the scheme in the part concerning the wall drilling.
• Use a pair of tongs when breaking the rear air outlet hole in the
wall.
• In case the connection is made by using a ø 120 mm pipe insert
the reduction flange 9on the hood body outlet.
• Fix the pipe with an adequate quantity of pipe clamps. This
material is not supplied together with the hood.
• Remove the charcoal filter if present.
• Fix the metal cover 10 to the upper air outlet hole of the hood
by using the screws supplied.
UPPER AIR OUTLET
• In case the connection is made by using a ø 120 mm pipe insert
the reduction flange 9on the hood body outlet.
• Use a pair of tongs when removing the central part of the metal
cover 10. Fix the cover to the air outlet hole of the hood by us-
ing the screws supplied.
• Fix the pipe with an adequate quantity of pipe clamps. This
material is not supplied together with the hood.
• Remove the charcoal filter if present.

AIR OUTLET IN A RECYCLING HOOD VERSION
• In case the components requested for the recycling functioning
have been removed earlier these have to be positioned again.
• Put the plastic tube onto the flange 7.
• Place the air outlet grid 8on the air outlet. Make sure that the
position of the grid is correct.
• Make sure that charcoal filters have been placed inside the
hood.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
• Connect the hood to the mains through a two-pole switch hav-
ing a contact gap of at least 3 mm.
• Remove the grease filters (see paragraph Maintenance) being
sure that the connector of the feeding cable is correctly inserted
in the socket placed on the side of the fan.

USE

Control panel
Button Function Display
ATurns the suction motor on and off at speed one. Displays the set speed
BDecreases the working speed. Displays the set speed
CIncreases the working speed. Displays the set speed
DActivate intensive speed from any other speed,
including motor off. This speed is set to operate
for 6 minutes, after which the system returns to the
speed that was set before. Suitable to deal with
maximum levels of cooking fumes.
Displays HI and the time remaining once very second.
Press and hold the button for approximately 5
seconds, with all the loads turned off (Motor and
Lights), to turn the Activated Charcoal Filter
alarm On and Off.
FC+Punto (2 flashes)–Alarm On.
FC+Punto (1 flash)–Alarm Off.
E24H function
Turns the suction motor on at speed one and
effects one 10 minute extraction every hour.
Displays 24 and the spot at the bottom right flashes once
every second, while the motor is running.
It is disabled by pressing the button.
When the filters alarm is triggered, the alarm can
be reset by pressing and holding this button for
approximately 3 seconds.
These indications are only visible when the motor
is turned off.
FF flashes three times.
When the procedure terminates, the indication shown
previously turns off:
FG indicates the need to wash the metal grease filters.
The alarm is triggered after the Hood has been in
operation for 100 working hours.
FC indicates the need to change the activated charcoal
filters, and also to wash the metal grease filters. The alarm
is triggered after the Hood has been in operation for 200
working hours.
FDelay function
Activate automatic switch-off with a 30’ delay.
Suitable to complete elimination of residual
odours. Can be activated from any position, and is
disabled by pressing the button or turning the
motor off.
Displays the operating speed and the spot at the bottom
right flashes once a second.
Press and hold the button for approximately 5
seconds, with all the loads turned off (Motor and
Lights), to turn the Remote Control On and Off.
IR+Punto (2 flashes)–Alarm On.
IR+Punto (1 flash)–Alarm Off.
GTurns the lighting system on and off at maximum
intensity.
HTurns the Courtesy Lighting on and off.

MAINTENANCE
REMOTE CONTROL (OPTIONAL)
The appliance can be controlled using a remote control powered by a 1.5
V carbon-zinc alkaline batteries of the standard LR03-AAA type (not
included).
• Do not place the remote control near to heat sources.
• Used batteries must be disposed of in the proper manner.
Cleaning the Comfort Panels
• Pull the Comfort Panel to open it.
• Disconnect the panel from the hood canopy by sliding the fixing pin
lever.
• The comfort panel must never be washed in a dishwasher.
• Clean the outside by using a damp cloth and neutral liquid detergent.
• Clean the inside as well by using a damp cloth and neutral detergent;
do not use wet cloths or sponges, or jets of water; do not use abrasive
substances.
• When the above operation has been completed, hook the panel back to
the hood canopy and close it by turning the knob in the opposite direc-
tion.
Metal grease filters
They can be washed in the dishwasher, and need to be cleaned whenever
the FG sign appears on the display or at least once every 2 months use, or
more frequently if use is particularly intensive.
Resetting the alarm signal
• Turn the Lights and the Suction motor off, then disable the 24h func-
tion, if enabled.
• Press button E(see the paragraph on Use).
Cleaning the Filters
• Open the Comfort panels by pulling on the recess.
• Remove the Filters one at a time, pushing them towards the back of the
unit and at the same time pulling downward.
• Wash the Filters without bending them, and leave them to dry
completely before replacing. (If the surface of the filter changes colour
as time goes by, this will have absolutely no effect on the efficiency of
the filter itself.)
• Replace, taking care to ensure that the handle faces forwards.
• Close the Comfort panels.

Activated Charcoal Filter (Recirculation Version)
It cannot be washed or regenerated, and must be changed when the FC symbol on the display
appears, or at least once every 4 months. The Alarm signal, if it has been activated, only
appears when the Suction motor is turned on.
Activating the alarm signal
• In Recirculation Version Hoods, the Filter Saturation Alarm must be activated on
installation or at a later date.
• Turn the Lights and the Suction Motor off.
• Press D and hold for approximately 5 Seconds:
• The message FC+Dot flashes twice, A.C. Filter saturation alarm ACTIVATED
• The message FC+Dot flashes once, A.C. Filter saturation alarm DEACTIVATED
CHANGING THE ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FILTER
Resetting the alarm signal
• Turn the Lights and the Suction motor off, then disable the 24h
function, if enabled.
• Press button E(see the paragraph on Use).
Changing the Filter
• Open the Comfort panels by pulling on the recess.
• Remove the Metal grease filters.
• Remove the saturated charcoal filter by releasing the fixing
hooks.
• Fit the new filter and fasten it in its correct position.
• Replace the Metal grease filters.
• Close the Comfort panels.

Lighting
LIGHT REPLACEMENT
20 W halogen light.
• Remove the 2 screws fixing the Lighting support, and
pull it out of from the Hood.
• Extract the lamp from the Support.
• Replace with another of the same type, making sure
that the two pins are properly inserted in the lamp
holder socket holes.
• Refit the Support, fixing it in place with the two
screws removed as above.

ADVIEZEN EN SUGGESTIES
De gebruiksaanwijzingen hebben betrekking op verschillende modellen van
dit apparaat. Mogelijk vindt u dan ook beschrijvingen van aparte kenmerken
die niet over uw specifieke apparaat gaan.
INSTALLATIE
• De fabrikant is niet aansprakelijk voor eventuele schade als gevolg van een
onjuiste installatie of oneigenlijk gebruik.
• De minimale veiligheidsafstand tussen de kookplaat en
de afzuigkap is 650 mm (sommige modellen kunnen op
een kleinere afstand worden geïnstalleerd; zie de
paragraaf over de werkafmetingen en de installatie).
• Controleer of de netspanning overeenstemt met de
spanning die op het typeplaatje aan de binnenkant van
de afzuigkap staat vermeld.
• Controleer voor apparaten van klasse I of het elektriciteitsnet in uw woning over
een goede aarding beschikt.
Sluit de afzuiginrichting op het rookkanaal aan met een pijp met een minimale
diameter van 120 mm. De rook moet een zo kort mogelijk traject afleggen.
• Sluit de afzuigkap niet op rookkanalen aan die
verbrandingsgassen afvoeren (bijv. van
verwarmingsketels, open haarden, enz.).
• Als de afzuiginrichting in combinatie met niet-
elektrische apparaten wordt gebruikt (bijv.
gasapparaten), moet het vertrek voldoende
geventileerd zijn om te voorkomen dat de uitgestoten
gassen terugstromen. De keuken dient over een
opening te beschikken die direct in verbinding staat met de buitenlucht om de
toevoer van schone lucht te garanderen. Wanneer de afzuigkap in combinatie
met niet-elektrische apparaten wordt gebruikt, mag de onderdruk in het vertrek
niet groter zijn dan 0,04 mbar om te voorkomen dat de damp opnieuw door de
afzuigkap in het vertrek gezogen wordt.
• Een beschadigd netsnoer moet door de producent of de technische
servicedienst worden gerepareerd om elk risico te vermijden.

• Als de installatievoorschriften van de gaskookplaat bepalen dat een grotere
afstand in acht moet worden genomen dan hierboven is aangegeven, dan
moet daar rekening mee worden gehouden. Alle regels voor de luchtafvoer
moeten in acht worden genomen.
• Gebruik alleen schroeven en kleine onderdelen die geschikt zijn voor de
afzuigkap.
Waarschuwing: indien de schroeven en bevestigingssystemen niet volgens
deze aanwijzingen worden geïnstalleerd, bestaat het gevaar voor elektrische
schokken.
• Sluit de afzuigkap op het elektriciteitsnet aan met een tweepolige schakelaar
met een afstand tussen de contacten van minstens 3 mm.
GEBRUIK
• De afzuigkap is uitsluitend bedoeld voor huishoudelijk gebruik om
kookgeuren te verwijderen.
• Gebruik de afzuigkap nooit voor andere doeleinden dan waarvoor hij
bedoeld is.
• Laat nooit hoog brandende branders onbedekt onder een werkende
afzuigkap.
• Regel de vlammen altijd zo dat ze niet langs de pannen omhoogkomen.
• Controleer frituurpannen tijdens het gebruik: de
oververhitte olie zou vlam kunnen vatten.
• Er mag niet onder de afzuigkap geflambeerd
worden: brandgevaar.
• Het apparaat mag worden gebruikt door kinderen
ouder dan 8 jaar en door personen met een
lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke beperking of met onvoldoende
ervaring en kennis, mits ze onder toezicht staan en goed geïnstrueerd zijn
over een veilig gebruik van het apparaat en de gevaren die ermee
samenhangen. Zorg ervoor dat kinderen niet met het apparaat spelen.
Reiniging en onderhoud door de gebruiker mogen niet door kinderen worden
uitgevoerd, tenzij ze onder toezicht staan.

• “ LET OP: tijdens het gebruik van de kooktoestellen kunnen de toegankelijke
delen erg heet worden ”.
ONDERHOUD
•Schakel het apparaat uit of koppel het los van het elektriciteitsnet alvorens
reinigings- of onderhoudswerkzaamheden uit te voeren.
• De filters reinigen en/vervangen na de aangegeven tijdsperiode
(brandgevaar).
• De vetfilters moeten om de 2 maanden worden schoongemaakt, of vaker bij
zeer intensief gebruik. Ze kunnen in de afwasmachine worden gewassen.
• Het actieve koolstoffilter is niet afwasbaar of regenereerbaar en moeten
ongeveer om de 4 maanden worden vervangen, of vaker bij zeer intensief
gebruik.
• 'Er bestaat brandgevaar als de reiniging niet volgens de voorschriften wordt
uitgevoerd.'
• Maak de afzuigkap schoon met een vochtige doek en een mild vloeibaar
schoonmaakmiddel.
Het symbool op het product of op de verpakking wijst erop dat dit product
niet als huishoudafval mag worden behandeld. Het moet echter naar een
speciaal verzamelcentrum worden gebracht waar elektrische en elektronische
apparatuur wordt gerecycled. Als u ervoor zorgt dat dit product op de correcte
manier wordt verwijderd, voorkomt u mogelijk voor mens en milieu negatieve
gevolgen die zich zouden kunnen voordoen in geval van verkeerde
afvalbehandeling. Neem voor meer details over het recyclen van dit product
contact op met uw gemeente, de plaatselijke vuilophaaldienst of de winkel
waar u het product hebt gekocht.

INSTALLATIE
Boren van gaten in de wand
Indien U de wasemkap wenst te installeren in afzuigversie en de luchtafvoerbuis aan de
achterkant wil plaatsen, moet U het gat voor de luchtafvoer maken zoals wordt aangege-
ven in de volgende afbeelding.
Als U de wasemkap in filterversie wenst te installeren, moet U tussen de wasemkap en de boven-
limiet (het plafond of de plank) een afstand vrijhouden van minstens 8-10 cm.
Trek de volgende lijnen op de wand:
• een verticale lijn tot aan het plafond of tot aan de bovenlimiet, in het midden van de zone
waar U de wasemkap wenst te installeren;
• een horizontale lijn op minimum 550 mm boven de kookplaat;
• Teken, zoals aangegeven, een referentiepunt af op 808 mm boven deze horizontale lijn, en
op X mm (X = zie tabel afbeelding) rechts van de verticale lijn.
• Herhaal deze handeling ook aan de tegenovergestelde kant en controleer of de twee punten
op éénzelfde lijn liggen.
• Boor op de afgetekende punten gaten van ø 12 mm.
• Plaats de pluggen samen met de schroeven en de bevestigingsbeugel 11a in de gaten en
schroef alles goed aan.

• Schroef de twee schroeven Vr van de bevestigingsbeugels 11a
gedeeltelijk vast.
• Haak de wasemkap over de 2 bevestigingsbeugels 11a.
• Open het Confort Pannel door eraan te trekken, verwijder de
filters één voor één door ze naar achteren te duwen en ze ge-
lijktijdig naar beneden te trekken.
• Haal langs de binnenkant van de wasemkap de schroeven Vr
aan om zo de wasemkap op een gelijke hoogte te brengen.

Aansluitingen
LUCHTUITLAAT AFZUIGVERSIE
Als U de wasemkap wenst te installeren in afzuigversie, dan dient
U de kap te verbinden met de uitlaat naar buiten toe door middel
van een starre of flexibele buis met een diameter van 150 of 120
mm, dit laatste naar keuze van de installateur. Deze buis kan zo-
wel bovenaan als achteraan de wasemkap geplaatst worden.
Vooraleer U begint aan de aansluitingen voor de afzuigversie
moet U, indien dat nog niet gebeurd is, het richtingrooster 8en de
PVC buis 7 verwijderen. De reductieflens 9dient alleen verwij-
derd te worden als U een verbindingbuis gebruikt met een diame-
ter van 150 mm.
UITLAAT BOVENAAN
• Vergeet niet dat voor het boren van het gat voor de uitlaat U
het schema moet volgen dat opgegeven is in de paragraaf “Bo-
ren van gaten in de wand”.
• Maak het gat voor de luchtuitlaat aan de achterkant vrij met
behulp van een tang.
• Als U de wasemkap wenst te verbinden met een buis met een
diameter van 120 mm, dan moet U eerst de reductieflens 9op
de uitlaat van de wasemkap plaatsen.
• Zet de buis vast met de geschikte leidingklemmen. Het nodige
materiaal is niet bijgeleverd.
• Verwijder de eventuele geurfilters met actieve koolstof.
• Bevestig de stop 10 op de uitlaat bovenaan de wasemkap met
behulp van de bijgeleverde schroeven.
UITLAAT ACHTERAAN
• Als U de wasemkap wenst te verbinden met een buis met een
diameter van 120 mm, dan moet U eerst de reductieflens 9op
de uitlaat van de wasemkap plaatsen.
• Verwijder het middelste gedeelte van de stop 10 met behulp
van een tang en bevestig de stop op de uitlaat bovenaan de wa-
semkap en dit met behulp van de bijgeleverde schroeven.
• Zet de buis vast met de geschikte leidingklemmen. Het nodige
materiaal is niet bijgeleverd.
• Verwijder de eventuele geurfilters met actieve koolstof.
