1. Before Usage
1.1. Safety Notice
Many thanks for choosing this product. For your better usage of this
product, please read this User Manual carefully. The user manual
attached to the product is the most important guide for using, the user
can consult it when necessary.
The design and production of this device has well considered for
safety of human being and convenient usage. To avoid breackdown
and damages use this device properly. Your rights and interests of
consumption can only be guaranteed with with following notices.
This is a device integrated with semiconductor fitting, any
components should be repaired by users.
This product complies with national low-voltage electronic appliances
safety standards, and acquired American FCC certificate and
European Union CE certificate.

1. The power supply used for this product should be conform to the
details shown on the nameplate.
2. Don’t expose this product in high temperature and moisture in
order to avoid fire and electrical shock.
3. Data transfer can be ifluenced by electromagnetic fields and
special frequencies.
4. Please do not move or strike the unit when it is using. Do not put
any object on top of this device.
5. Inserting other object into this device is to inhibit and please do
not tear down the device accidently, otherwise it may affect
device damages.
6. If data transfer failed or discontinued because of the static
electricity and strong electromagnetic field, the application
should be restarted and the USB cable reconnected.
7. Please do not use this product in environments of thunder, storm or
unstable electricity.
8. Please disconnect the device from power and PC immediately
when liquid flows into it.
9. Do not intermit during copying files, otherwise you may cause
damages to the files and HDD.

1.3. Introduction of Product Features:
The external storage systems are new types of portable storage
multimedia products with filmy and light design, which can be used
for storing any kinds of data. This device can be used similar to the
local disks. It is fully compatible for many kinds of operating system
and added with multi-function design. It is really an ideal storage
solution for individual users, enterprise business and network service.
1.4. Terms of Warranty
The serial number attached to the product and the package are the
most important subjects for warranty. The user has to hold it when
repairing is necessary. If the serial number is damaged, torn or blurred,
there will be no warranty anymore.

attached.

2.3. Requirement of Software& Hardware：

2.4. Preparation and Installation of Disk Drive
Please choose the disk drive suitable for your product, and install the
disk drive based on the requirements shown on user manual of disk
drive. You can also ask the dealer about the installation methods.
Connecting
zMake sure that the data cables are connected to corresponding
connectors at you PC (illustrated as below) after you have
finished the installation of disk drive.

zTo avoid problems of power consuption, please do not use
other USB cables not belonging to the package.
yConnect the USB data cables to the corresponding port
2.5. Installation and Uninstall of Disk Drive
Installation of Disk Drive
For operating system like Windows 2000 / Windows XP / Windows
Vista / Windows 7, no driver have to be installed.
2.6. Partition and Format of disk drive
NOTE:
zThe product can’t be recognized by the PC if an unformated hard
disk is used. Please partition and format the hard drive first before
using it.
zPlease note, that every partitioning and formatting will delete all
data of the hard driver.
zTo ensure the stability, partitioning and formating under Windows
2000/Windows XP/Windows Vista /Windows 7 is recommended.
Partition and formatting underWindows 2000/ XP/ Vista / 7
A．Startup the operating system and make sure that the system is
working in the normal status.
B．Connect the product to the PC

yPlease connect the product to the PC through USB cable.
C．Once the product enters the working status, the indicator will turn
on. The system displays a green icon on the right down corner.
D．Right click” my computer”, select “manage” option to open the
window of “hard disk management”.
E．Please select the “hard disk management” option under the
directory of “storage”. You will find a note of “unknown” in the
hard disk management information directory as illustrated.

F．Right click the area of “unknown” on the hard disk, and click
“signature” option.
G．Check the hard disk and click “sure” in the window of “ write
signature”
H．The “unknown” prompt of hard disk disappears and a “basic”
prompt status appears. Now you are able to start partitioning and
formatting operation.

I．Right click the chart of “unassigned” and select “create hard disk
partition” option.
J．Enter “creating hard disk partition guide” and click “next” to
continue.

K．Please select the option of “main hard disk partition” in the
“select partition type” and then click “next” to continue.
L．At the “assign the partition capacity” please install the value
defaulted by the system and click “next” to continue.

M．Keep the value defaulted by the system, set the file system
to ”NTFS”, enable “Quick Format” and click “next“ to continue.
N．Click “Finish” to complete. The device is now ready to use

3.Using
3.1. Connection and usage of the product
This product owns a USB 3.0 interface, so it can support hot plug &
play. You can connect and use it under the follow system.
In Microsoft operating system：
A．Startup the PC
•Make sure the PC works normally.
•Connect the USB cable.
•Indicator of the product turns on.
B．The green iconc appears and the hardware is found by the system
yThe green arrowhead icon appears right down the corner of the
screen, and the product is recognized by the operating system.
C．Open” my computer” and the new disk appears.
yIf there were partitions C and D, the system will assign drive
letter E for the disk.
yThe speed of disk symbol appearing may vary, because of the
difference between hardware and software. This is a normal
behavoir.
D．Common usage.
yThe operation is similar to a common hard disk.
yThe LED flickers during the reading and writing process.
yThe product indicator stops flickering or slow down flickering if

there is no read or write operation.
yPlease don’t drawout theproduct from the PC when the product
is under reading or writing status. Otherwise, it may cause
damage to the hard disk or loss of data.
In Mac OS operation system：
Important note: Mac OS file format is different from PC, the hard
disk need to be formatted into Mac OS format so that it can be
recognized.
A．Startup the Macintosh
yMake sure the Mac works correctly
yConnect the USB cable
yIndicator of product turns on.
B．The disk symbol of Untitled appears in the screen of system
C．Common usage
yThe operation is similar to a common hard disk.
yThe product indicator flickers during the reading and writing
process.
yThe product indicator stops flickering or slow down flickering if
there is no reading or writing operation.
yPlease don’t draw out the product from the Mac when the
product is under reading or writing status. Otherwise, it may
cause damage to the hard disk or loss of data

3.2. Exit and draw out the product
As a USB device, it supports hot swap. Please follow the procedure
below to make sure a normal exit from the system and to protect the
integrality of the system and the safety of the product.
In Microsoft operation system：
A. Make sure the product is not under reading or writing status.
yIt should run no reading or writing operation.
yThere sould be no flickering on the LED indicator.
B. Click the green icon at the right down corner.
yThe green icon is illustrated below.
yRight click the green icon and the option of USB device
directory appears.
C. Click the popup to remove the device .
D. The system prompts: The device has been removed from the
system safely.
E. Click” OK”, and the system is closing the dialogue box.
F. Remove product from the PC
Finish.

In Mac OS operation system：
yMake sure the product is not under reading or writing status
yIt should run no reading or writing operation.
yThere should be no flickering on the LED indicator.
A. Drag the icon of Untitled from the system screen to the dustbin
B. Remove product from the PC
