CAUTION
CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous
situations which, if not avoided, may result
in minor or moderate injury, or may cause
machine damage.

NOTE emphasizes essential information.

Read and understand all of the safety
precautions, warnings and operating
instructions in the Instruction manual before
operating or maintaining this power tool.
Most accidents that result from power tool
operation and maintenance are caused by
the failure to observe basic safety rules or
precautions.
An accident can often be avoided by
recognizing a potentially hazardous
situation before it occurs, and by observing
appropriate safety procedures.
Basic safety precautions are outlined in the
“SAFETY” section of this Instruction manual
and in the sections which contain the
operation and maintenance instructions.
Hazards that must be avoided to prevent
bodily injury or machine damage are
identified by WARNINGS on the power tool
and in this Instruction manual.
NEVER use this power tool in a manner that
has not been specifically recommended by
FLEX.
Intended use
The LED rechargeable work lamp
DWL 2500 12.0/18.0V is designed for
–for commercial use in industry and trade,
–checking large surfaces during polishing,
painting and cleaning as well as color
matching
–for targeted illumination of the workplace,
–for illuminating rooms.
The LED rechargeable work lamp
DWL 2500 12.0/18.0V is not suitable
–for use as a headlight.

GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS

1. Work area safety
(a) Know your light. Read the manual
carefully. Learn the applications and
limitations, as well as the specific potential
hazards related to this tool.
Following these rules will reduce the risk of
electric shock, fire or serious injury.
(b) Do not permit children to use the light; it
is not a toy.
2. Electrical safety
(a) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet
conditions.
Water entering a power tool will increase the
risk of electric shock.
3. Personal safety
(a) Do not stare into the light. Avoid direct
eye exposure.
The light can cause flash blindness.
4. Power tool use and care
(a) Store idle power tools out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these instructions to
operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
5. Battery tool use and care
(a) Disconnect the battery pack from the
power tool before making any adjustments,
changing accessories or storing power
tools.
Such preventive safety measures reduce the
risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
(b) Recharge only with the charger specified
by the manufacturer.
A charger that is suitable for one type of
battery pack may present a fire risk when
used with another battery pack.
(c) Use power tools only with specifically
designated battery packs.
Use of any other battery packs may present
a fire risk and cause injury.
(d) When the battery pack is not in use,
keep it away from other metal objects, like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or
other small metal objects that can make a
connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a fire.
(e) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be
ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, flush with
water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally
seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
irritation or burns.
(f) Do not use a battery pack or tool that is
damaged or modified.
Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behavior resulting in fire,
explosion or injury.

(g) Do not expose a battery pack or tool to
fire or excessive temperature.
Exposure to fire or temperature above
265°F may cause explosion.
(h) Follow all charging instructions and do
not charge the battery pack or tool outside
the temperature range specified in the
instructions.
Charging improperly or at temperatures
outside the specified range may damage
the battery and increase the risk of fire.
6. Service
(a) Have your power tool serviced by a
qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained.
(b) Do not modify or attempt to repair the
appliance or the battery pack (as applicable)
except as indicated in the instructions for use
and care.
CAUTION
Do not touch hot parts.
WARNING
When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
–Read all the instructions before using the
appliance.
–To reduce the risk of injury, close
supervision is necessary when an
appliance is used near children.
–Use only the battery and charger
recommended or sold by the

–To reduce the risk of electric shock, do
not submerge the light and battery pack in
water or other liquid. Do not place or store
the appliance where it can fall or be pulled
into a tub or sink.

1. Safety warnings for
rechargeable LED work lamps
(a) This power tool is intended to function
as a rechargeable LED work light. Read all
safety warnings, instructions, illustrations
and specifications provided with this power
tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below
may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
2. Additional warnings
(a) The mains voltage and the voltage
specifications on the rating plate must
correspond.
(b) Only FLEX AUTHORIZED SERVICE
CENTER should disassemble or assemble
this power tool, and only genuine FLEX
replacement parts should be installed.
(c) Clean the exterior of the power tool only
with a soft cloth moistened with soapy
water, and dry thoroughly.
(d) Never use solvents, gasoline or thinners
on plastic components; otherwise the
plastic may dissolve.
(e) The light source contained in this luminaire
shall only be replaced by the manufacturer or
his service agent or a similar qualified person.

Operating instructions
WARNING
Risk of electric shock! Before carrying out
any work on the power tool, always remove
the battery.
Before switching on the power
tool
Unpack power tool and accessories and
check that no parts are missing or damaged.
Inserting/replacing the battery
1. Press charged battery fully into
the power tool.
2. To remove the battery, press the
release buttons (1.) and pull out the
battery (2.).
CAUTION
When the device is not in use, protect the
battery contacts. Loose metal parts may
short-circuit the contacts; explosion and fire
hazard!
Battery state of charge
1. Press the button to check the state of
charge at the state of charge indicator
LEDs.
The indicator goes out after 5 seconds.
If one of the LEDs flashes, the battery must
be recharged. If none of the LEDs light up
after the button is pressed, the battery is
faulty and must be replaced.
Switching on and off
1. Switch the LED rechargeable work lamp
on and off by pressing the on/off switch.

Adjusting light intensity
The light intensity of the LED rechargeable
work lamp can be adjusted by pressing "+"
or "-".
The LED display on the left indicates the
remaining lighting duration.
Adjusting color temperature
You can change the color temperature of the
LED rechargeable work lamp incrementally in
5 stages by pressing the on/off switch for
longer than 2 seconds and then pressing the
"+" and "-" button.
Bluetooth® control
The LED rechargeable work lamp can be
controlled via the integrated Bluetooth® light
control system. Activate by pressing the
"Bluetooth® button" and connect to the app.
Functions
–Switch lamp on/off
–Adjust light intensity
–Select color temperature
–Connect up to 4 lamps together
–Select pin code so that no one else can
control the lamp
The process to delete the pin code is:
1. Turn on the Bluetooth function.
2. Press the Bluetooth button for 10
second.
3. The pin code is reset.
Compatible with iPhone 5 or higher/Android
5.0 or higher.
Visit the iTunes App Store/Google Play/or
download the app from our website.
Powerbank function
The LED rechargeable work lamp has an
integrated powerbank. The lamp lasts for up
to 2 hours with a luminous flux of 300 lumen
- without rechargeable battery. With
rechargeable battery- It allows mobile units,
e.g. smartphones, to be charged via the
USB socket.
Charge voltage/current: 5V/1A

Assembly
You can set up the LED rechargeable work
lamp in any position with the aid of a support
stand.
You can mount the LED rechargeable work
lamp on a tripod or attach it to any magnetic
surface with the aid of a magnet holder.
Maintenance and care
WARNING
Risk of electric shock! Before carrying out
any work on the power tool, always remove
the battery.
Cleaning
Electric power tool
WARNING
Do not use water or liquid detergents.
1. Remove dirt and dust from the housing
with a paint brush or dry cloth.
Repairs
Repairs may be carried out by an authorised
customer service centre only.
Spare parts and accessories
NOTE
Only the tools released by FLEX may be used.
Other accessories, in particular insertion
tools, can be found in the manufacturer’s
catalogues.

Disposal information
WARNING
Render redundant power tools unusable:
–by removing the power cord on mains
operated power tools,
–by removing the battery on battery
operated power tools.

Electronic Equipment and its incorporation
into national law, used power tools must be
collected separately and recycled in an

recycling according to material type.

FLEX North America warrants its Profes-
sional Power Tools for a period of one year
from the date of original purchase. We will
repair or replace at our option, any part or
parts of the product and accessories covered
under this warranty, which, after examination,
prove(s) to be defective in workmanship or
material during the warranty period. For repair
or replacement, return the complete tool or
accessory, transportation prepaid, to your
nearest Authorized Service Station.
Proof of purchase may be required.
Thiswarranty does not apply to repair or
replacement due to misuse, abuse, normal
wear and tear or repairs attempted or made by
someone other than our Authorized Service
Stations.
