Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new device.
You have chosen a high quality product. The operat-
ing instructions are a constituent part of this product.
They contain important information for safety, opera-
tion and disposal. Familiarise yourself with all operat-
ing and safety instructions prior to using the product.
Use the product only as described and for the areas of
application stated. If the device is passed on to a third
party then pass all of the documentation on with it.
Intended use
The leaf vac is exclusively used in the two fol-
lowing ways:
1.As a leaf vac for vacuuming up dry leaves.
2.As a blower it is used to collect together dry
leaves or to remove them from inaccessible
places (e.g. under vehicles).
In suction mode it also works as a shredder, where
the volume of the leaves is reduced by a ratio of
approx. 15:1 and takes up less space in the leaf
collection bag and the collected material is simulta-
neously prepared for possible composting.
Each type of use other than those given in these
instructions for use can damage the machine
and cause serious risk to the user.
Please always observe the safety instructions in order
to safeguard your guarantee claim and in the inter-
ests of product safety. Due to the machine’s design,
we are unable to fully exclude all residual risks.

Due to modern mass production techniques, it
is unlikely that your power tool is faulty or that

a part is missing. If you find anything wrong, do
not operate the tool until the parts have been
replaced or the fault has been rectified. Failure
to do so could result in serious personal injury.

General safety instructions
You must read, understand and follow these op-
erating instructions very carefully before operating
this machine. They should guarantee your safety
and the safety of others and should ensure a long
and fault-free service life for your machine.
Training
• Read through the operating instructions care-
fully. Familiarise yourself with the controls
and the proper use of the device.
• Never allow the device to be used by children.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sen-
sory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
• Never permit children or persons who are not
familiar with these operating instructions to
use this device. The age of the operator may
be stipulated by local regulations.
• Never operate the device whilst other persons,
in particular children or animals, are nearby.
• The operator or user is responsible for all ac-
cidents or hazards to other persons or their
property.
Preparation
• Always wear sturdy shoes and long trousers
when operating the device.
• Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery as
these can be drawn into the air intake. Keep
long hair away from the air intake.
• Wear safety goggles during operation.
• The wearing of a face mask for protection
from dust is recommended.
• Before using check the power supply cable
and the extension cable for damage and signs
of ageing. Do not use the device if the cable is
damaged or worn out.
• Never operate the device with faulty coverings
or safety devices or with safety devices missing
- the attached debris bag for example.
• Only use weather-resistant extension cables
with sockets and plugs that comply with the
IEC standard 60320-2-3.
Operation
• Always lead the cable rearwards away from
the device.
• If a cable is damaged during operation then dis-
connect the power supply cable from the power
source immediately. DO NOT TOUCH THE CA-
BLE BEFORE YOU HAVE DISCONNECTED IT
FROM THE MAINS.
• If the connection cable is damaged it must be re-
placed by the manufacturer, a maintenance rep-
resentative of the manufacturer or similarly quali-
fied persons in order to exclude possible hazards.
If an extension cable is used, then this must be
dimensioned per H05VV-F (2 x 1.0 mm2) or bet-
ter.
• Do not carry the device by the cable.
• Disconnect the device from the power supply,
- If you leave the device,
- Before you remove potential blockages,
- Before you check, clean or work on the device,
- If the device starts to produce unusual vibrations.
• Only operate the device during daylight or
with good artificial lighting.
• Do not lean too far forward and keep your
balance at all times.
• Always make sure that you have stable foot-
ing on slopes.
• Walk, never run.
• Keep all air intakes free of foreign bodies.
• Never blow debris towards bystanders.
• It is recommended that the device is only oper-
ated at reasonable times of the day - so not early
in the morning or late in the evening - when peo-
ple could be disturbed by this.
• It is recommended to loosen debris with
rakes and brushes first and only then to start
with the blowing or vacuuming.
• It is recommended that dusty surfaces be
lightly dampened or that a mister is used.
• It is recommended to work with the full blast
tube length so that the air flow can work
close to the ground.
Maintenance and storage
• Ensure that all nuts, bolts and screws are firmly
tightened so that the device is constantly in a
safe working condition.

• Check the debris bag for wear or damage reg-
ularly.
• Replace parts that are worn out or damaged.
• Use only original replacement parts and original
accessories.
• Only store the device in dry locations.
Safe operation
Familiarise yourself with your power tool. You
must have read and understood the operating
instructions and all adhesive labels on your
power tool. Familiarise yourself with the ap-
plications and operational limitations as well
as potential hazard sources of this power tool.
Working area
Untidy work surfaces and working areas can conceal
accident risks. For that reason workbenches should
be kept orderly. Floors should be kept clear and free
of waste. Particular care is required where the floor-
ing is slippery due to sawdust or floor polish.
Working environment
Do not let your power tool come into contact with rain
and do not use it in damp or wet locations. Ensure
there is always good lighting for the working area. Do
not use the power tool in areas in which there is a
risk of explosions or fires due to combustible materi-
als, inflammable liquids, paint, varnish, benzine etc.
Combustible gases and dust are explosive by their na-
ture. As a precautionary measure, it is recommended
to consult with an expert who can advise you of how
to procure and use an appropriate fire extinguisher.
Protection from electric shocks
Avoid bodily contact with earthed surfaces (e.g.
pipes, radiators, electric cookers, fridges).
Keep away from children and pets
Children and pets should be kept out of the work-
ing area. Ensure that children do not handle the
machine and do not touch any extension cables.
All power tools should be kept out of reach of chil-
dren and should preferably be kept in a secure
cabinet or room when not in use.
Do not overload the power tool
The power tool works better and more safely and
will benefit you much more if you use it within
the operational limits for which it was designed.
Use the correct tool
Select the correct tool for your task. Do not use tools
for purposes other than those for which they were
intended. Do not overload small tools with tasks for
which high performance tools are required. Only
use tools for their designed purpose. Example: Do
not use circular saws for sawing branches or logs.
Personal safety
Clothing
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery as these
can be caught by moving machine parts.
Hair
Long hair should be tied back and covered with
a protective hair net or similar.
Eye protection
Wearing of goggles is mandatory (normal spectacles
are not sufficient for protecting the eyes). Prescription
spectacles do not have safety glass.
Hearing protection
Hearing protection is recommended with extended
periods of use.
Footwear
If heavy objects could fall on your feet or if there is
a risk of slipping on wet or slippery ground, then
suitable non-slip safety footwear should be worn.
Protective headgear
If heavy objects could fall on your head or if there is a
risk of striking your head on projecting or low obsta-
cles, then a hard-hat or safety helmet should be worn.
Respiratory protection
If dust is caused when operating the machine then
wear a dust protection mask. When working with
concrete or synthetic fibre boards, in particular MDF
sheets (medium density fibreboard) the resin used
in these materials can present a health risk. Use an
approved face mask with a replaceable filter.
Do not mechanically overload the mains cable
Never disconnect the mains cable plug from the
outlet by pulling or tugging on the cable. Never
carry your power tool by its cable. Keep the cable
away from heat, oil, solvents and sharp edges. If the
cable should be damaged then have this replaced
by an approved customer support centre.
Do not lean too far forward
Do not lean too far forward, make sure you have a
stable footing and keep your balance at all times.
Careful handling of tools
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. This will pro-

vide you with better results and increased safety.
Follow the instructions for lubrication and for re-
placing accessory parts.
Check the mains cable for the tool regularly. If it
should be damaged then have this replaced by
an approved customer support centre.
Check the extension cable regularly and replace
it if it is damaged.
Keep grips dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
Take care to ensure that the ventilation slots are al-
ways clear and free of dust. Blocked ventilation slots
can lead to overheating and can damage the motor.
Disconnect the power tool from the mains
Ensure that the power tool is disconnected from
the mains when not in use, before it is serviced
or lubricated, before adjustments are carried out
on it, or when accessory parts such as blades,
drill bits and cutters are replaced.
Removal of adjustment wrenches
Make it a consistent practice to always check that
there are no adjustment wrenches remaining on
the power tool before you switch it on.
Avoidance of unintended switching on
Ensure that the switch is in the OFF position be-
fore you connect the power tool to the mains.
Extension cables and cable drums
The device should be operated via a residual cur-
rent circuit breaker (RCD) with a triggering current
of max. 30 mA.
DO NOT USE cable drums or extension cables
with a two-core cable to operate a power tool
with an earth wire. Always use an extension ca-
ble or cable drum with a three-core cable whose
earth wire is connected.
If the power tool is to be used outdoors, use only
extension cables that are intended for outdoor
use and which are labelled as such.
Always unroll extension cables completely.
Extension cables must have a conductor cross
section of at least 1.5 mm2.
Damaged extension cables must not be used but
rather must be replaced.
Protect your extension cable from sharp edged
objects or from excessive heat and moisture or
wet locations.
Stay alert
Proceed cautiously, use your common sense and
do not operate the power tool if you are tired, if
you are taking medication that makes you drowsy
or if you have consumed alcohol or drugs.
Checking of damaged parts
The power tool should be carefully checked be-
fore use to ensure that it is working properly and
fulfilling its intended purpose.
Check that the moving parts are correctly aligned
and ensure that they are able to move freely.
Check the tools for damaged or missing parts
and if necessary have these replaced or repaired
at an authorised customer support centre. If the
power tool has to be mounted then ensure that it
is safely secured on a suitable workbench. Check
all other conditions that could have an influence
on the operation of the power tool.
If protective coverings or other parts of the power
tool are damaged then these should be replaced
or repaired in an authorised customer support
centre insofar as these operating instructions do
not specify otherwise.
Any switch that does not work flawlessly must be
replaced by an authorised customer support centre.
Do not use the power tool if the On-Off switch
of the power tool does not switch on and off se-
curely and reliably.
Warning ! Do not carry out any alterations
to the power tool. The use of attachments or
accessories other than those recommended
in these operating instructions could dam-
age the power tool and could present a risk
of injury for the operator. Have your power
tool repaired by a qualified person.
This power tool fulfils the national and interna-
tional standards and safety requirements. Repairs
should only be carried out by qualified persons
using original replacement parts. Otherwise there
may be considerable hazards for the user.
Special safety instrucions leaf blowers/
vacuums
Warning against use by children!
Never let children or persons who have not read
and understood these operating instructions use
the leaf blower/vacuum. Do not use the leaf
blower/vacuum for purposes other than those
described in these operating instructions.
Read the warning labels on the machine and re-
place any damaged or illegible warning labels.
Read through these operating instructions care-

Ensure that you have adopted a safe and secure
working position before using the machine.
Ensure that all screws and nuts are firmly tight-
ened before starting the leaf blower/vacuum.
Only use the leaf blower/vacuum in dry environ-
ments, never outside when raining.
Do not use the leaf blower/vacuum if one of its safety
devices is faulty or if a protective cover is missing.
Proceed with great care when cleaning. This
should only be carried out when the leaf blower/
vacuum is switched off and disconnected from
the mains in order to exclude the risk of injury.
Check the mains cable and any extension cables
used for damage and always coil the cable up
tidily and without kinks.
Pull the plug out of the socket:
- Before you leave the leaf blower/vacuum un-
attended for any period of time
- Before you remove potential blockages
- Before you check, clean or carry out any work
on the device
If a foreign body or other waste has accidentally en-
tered the leaf blower/vacuum then stop the device
immediately and only use it again once it has been
checked and you are sure that the complete leaf
blower/vacuum is in a safe operational condition.
If the leaf blower/vacuum makes unusual noises
or starts to vibrate STOP the device immediately,
pull the plug out of the socket and search for the
cause. Excessive vibration can damage the leaf
blower/vacuum and injure the operator.
Preparing of the blower vac prior to use
Warning!
The Vac-Blower must not be used or switched
on until it has been fully assembled.
Assembly
Intake/ Air outlet tube (Pic.2 and 3)
• Press the button (2.1) and slide the air duct (2.2).
The air duct can be adjusted based on user
height, adjust the height up to 300 mm maxi-
mum, 30 mm is a height.
Fitting the debris collection bag (Pic.4 and 5)
Before fitting the debris collection bag en-
sure that the Vacuum/Blow selector lever
operates smoothly and that it is not obstruct-
ed by debris from the previous use.

by other persons or damage to their property.
Preparation
Always wear appropriate clothing, gloves and stur-
dy footwear. The wearing of approved protective
goggles is recommended.
By means of visual inspection ensure that no parts
of the device are worn out or damaged before using
your leaf blower/vacuum. Replace parts that are worn
out or damaged. Always check the insulation of the
mains cable and any extensions cables that may be
used for cuts and points of abrasion as well as the con-
dition of the plugs. All cables with cuts or signs of wear
as well as all damaged plugs and receptacles must be
replaced before using the leaf blower/vacuum.
Before every switch-on of the leaf blower/vacuum,
check that there are no remnants left inside it.
These can present a hazard.
Always ensure that the RCD circuit breaker is work-
ing properly.
Use only replacement parts that are recommend-
ed for this product.
Please proceed with due caution when carrying
out repairs or adjustments.
A leaf blower/vacuum that has been modified or
that is incomplete presents a hazard and so such
a device should not be operated.
Working with your leaf blower/vacuum
Always check the intended working area for
wires or other debris that could damage the leaf
blower/vacuum and injure the operator.
Never feed hard objects such as stones, bottles,
cans or metal parts into the leaf blower/vacuum.
This can damage the machine and could injure
both the operator and bystanders.
Never use the machine whilst other persons, in
particular children or animals, are nearby.
Never let a person who is not familiar with these
operating instructions use the machine.
If possible, do not operate the leaf blower/vacuum
in wet conditions.
Only operate the leaf blower/vacuum when you
are certain that you can stop it quickly in the
event of an emergency.
Never use the leaf blower/vacuum if one or
more of its safety devices is damaged, incorrectly
attached or missing.

• turn the support (4.1) frame into the correct
position of housing and make sure the sup-
port (4.2) lock in holding fixture (4.3).
When users dismantle the collection bag:
• press the interlock (5.1) to release, if the support
has been released, the user must carry the bag’s
weight alone.
Attention: switch off the vacuum until at
the handle and pull the plug firstly.
Fitting the shoulder harness (Pic.6)
The Vacuum-Blower is provided with a shoul-
der harness (6.1) this is attached to the top
of the main body of the Vacuum-Blower as
shown (6.2). The shoulder harness is provided
to reduce fatigue and aid comfort when us-
ing the Vacuum-Blower. Never carry the belt
diagonally over shoulder and chest. Wear the
strap only on one shoulder, in this way you
can remove the device in case of danger fast.
Before starting (fig. 7)
Pull the bracket out of the housing. Connect the
mains cable with the tool’s plug and secure it with
the strain relief bracket (7.1) as shown in Fig 7.
Only connect the device to a power source that
is protected via a residual current protective
device (RCD) with a maximum release current
of 30 mA.
Operation
This leaf blower may be operated only on grids with
a current carrying capacity equal to or greater than
100 A per phase at 230 V nominal voltage.
Starting the Vacuum-Blower (Pic.8, 9 and 10)
To start the Vacuum-Blower ensure that the in-
termediate suction/blower tube is fitted correctly.
Warning!
Before selecting either the Vacuum or Blow
function ensure that the selector lever oper-
ates smoothly and that it is not obstructed
by debris from the previous use.
• Select either the Vacuum or Blow function
using the selector lever on the side of the ma-
chine (8.1) and press the switch button (9.1).
• If more power is required slide the speed control-
ler (10.1) from position “1” to position “Max”.
Stopping the Vacuum- Blower (Pic.11)
To turn off the machine you can simply release
the switch (11.1).
Using the Vacuum-Blower
Do not attempt to pick up wet debris, allow fallen
leaves etc, to dry out before using the Vacuum
Blower. The Vacuum-Blower can be used to blow
debris from patios, paths, driveways, lawns,
bushes and borders. It will also pick up leaves,
paper, small twigs and wood chippings. When
the using the Vacuum Blower in Vacuum mode
the debris is sucked up the suction tube before
being ejected into the debris collection bag, as
the debris passes through the suction fan it is
partially shredded. The shredded organic debris
is ideal to use as mulch around plants.
Warning! Any hard objects, such as stones,
tin cans glass etc, will damage the suction fan.
Important
Do not use the Vacuum-Blower to suck up
water or very wet debris.
Never operate the Vacuum-Blower without
the debris collection bag fitted.
Blower mode
Inspect the area to be worked before starting. Remove
any objects or debris that could be thrown, jammed or
become entangled in the Vacuum-Blower.
Select the blow function using the selector lever
on the side of the machine and switch on. With
the Vacuum- Blower resting on its wheels move
the Vacuum-Blower forwards directing the noz-
zle at the debris to be cleared.
Alternatively hold nozzle just above the ground
and swing the machine from side to side, moving
forwards and directing the nozzle at the debris to
be cleared. Blow the debris into a convenient heap
then use the vacuum function to collect the debris.
Vacuum mode
Inspect the area to be worked before starting. Remove
any objects or debris that could be thrown, jammed or
become entangled in the Vacuum-Blower.
Select the vacuum function using the selector
lever on the side of the machine and switch on.
With the Vacuum-Blower resting on its wheels
move the Vacuum-Blower forwards directing the
nozzle at the debris to be collected. Alternatively

with the Vacuum-Blower held just above the
ground swing the machine from side to side,
moving forwards and directing the nozzle at the
debris to be collected. Do not force the nozzle
into the debris as this will block the suction tube
and reduce the efficiency of the machine.
Organic materials such as leaves contain a large
amount of water that can cause them to stick to the
inside of the suction tube. To reduce sticking the
material should be left for a few days to dry out.
Adjust the front handle (fig. 12-14)
• Press the side adjustment button (12.1) (fig. 12)
• Now set the handle to the desired position
(13.1) (fig. 13)
• Release the adjustment button, the front handle
latches into position and is locked (fig. 14)
Using the leaf rake
Working with the leaf rake (fig. 15)
• Rotate the knob by 90 ° and slide it down-
wards (15.1)
• To fasten in place rotate the knob by 90 °
again (15.2)
• The rake is now fastened in place (15.3)
Working without the leaf rake (fig. 16)
• Rotate the knob by 90 ° and slide it upwards
(16.1)
• To fasten in place rotate the knob by 90 °
again (16.2)
• The rake is now disabled (16.3)
Cleaning flap (fig. 17-18)
If the device is no longer operating correctly due
to clogging or blockages, open the cleaning flap
as follows:
• Remove mains plug
• Loosen the screw (17.1) by turning counter-
clockwise.
• Open the cleaning flap (18.1) and fold up the
cover (fig. 18).
• Carefully remove residue or blockages on the
impeller.
• Check whether the impeller turns easily and is
in fault-free condition
Important
If the cleaning flap is not closed and correctly
screwed down the device cannot be operated.
Cleaning and Storage
Make sure that all nuts, bolts and screws are
tight and that the guards are fitted correctly.
All damaged and worn parts should be replaced
in order to maintain the Vacuum-Blower in a
safe working condition.
Never leave material in the Vacuum-Blower or
the debris collection bag. This could be dangerous
when starting the Vacuum-Blower.
After use the Vacuum-Blower should be thoroughly
cleaned.
Ensure that the Vacuum-Blower is switched
off and disconnected from the mains supply.
Remove and empty the debris collection bag.
Ensure that the Vacuum / Blow selector lever
operates smoothly and that it is not obstructed
by debris. Brush any loose debris from around
the fan and inside the suction/blower tube.
Do not use any type of cleaning solvent on the
plastic parts of the Vacuum-Blower.
Power Cord Maintenance
If the supply cord needs replacing, the task must
be carried out by the manufacturer, the manu-
facturer’s agent, or an authorised service centre
in order to avoid a safety hazard.
Troubleshooting
Attention! Always remove the plug
from the mains socket before starting
any work on the machine.
• The machine won’t start: Check whether the
switch is in the “ON” position; check that the
residual current circuit breaker is not switched
off and that no fuses have blown in its electric
circuit. If the machine still won’t start have it in-
spected by an authorised customer service firm.
• The machine won’t vacuum: Check whether
the leaf collection bag is full. If it is, empty it;
check whether the lever for the reversing flap is in
the correct position, otherwise have the machine
inspected by an authorised customer service firm.
• The machine won’t blow: Check whether the
lever for the reversing flap is in the correct posi-
tion, otherwise have the machine inspected by
an authorised customer service firm.
• The shredder wheel is blocked: Check
whether an object has been sucked in that is

too large; a piece of wood, cardboard or other
object has become jammed between the impel-
ler and shredder chamber. If the shredder wheel
remains blocked have the machine inspected by
an authorised customer service firm.
• If the machine vibrates, please immediately
stop using it. Have the machine inspected by
an authorised customer service firm.
Waste disposal and environmental
protection
If your device should become useless somewhere
in the future or you do not need it any longer,
do not dispose of the device together with your
domestic refuse, but dispose of it in an environ-
mentally friendly manner. Please dispose of the
device itself at an according collecting/recycling
point. By doing so, plastic and metal parts can be
separated and recycled. Information concerning
the disposal of materials and devices are avail-

Dear Customer,
This device comes with a 3 year warranty from the
date of purchase. In the event of faults with this
product you have legals rights with respect to the
seller of the product. These rights are not affected
by our guarantee which follows hereafter.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period begins with the purchase
date. Please keep the original sales receipt safely.
This document is required as proof of purchase.
If a material or manufacturing fault should occur
with this product within three years of the date
of purchase, we will either repair or replace the
product at no charge to you, at our discretion.
This guarantee implies that the defective device
and the sales receipt (till slip) will be submitted
to us within the three year period along with a
brief written description of where the fault is and
when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by our guarantee then you
will receive a repaired product or a new product
back. There will no new guarantee period with the
repair or replacement of the product.
Guarantee period and legal claims for defects

ecution of the guarantee. This also applies to re-
placed and repaired parts. Any damage or faults
present at the time of purchase must be immedi-
ately reported as soon as the device is unpacked.

Scope of the guarantee
The device has been carefully manufactured in

properly maintained. For the product to be consid-
ered to have been used properly all of the instruc-
tions contained within the operating instructions
must have been observed. Any applications or han-
dling that the operating instructions advise against or
warn about must certainly be avoided.
The product is intended solely for private use and
not for commercial use. The guarantee is void in
the event of misuse or improper handling, the use
of force and in the event of intervention by service
centres that are not authorised by us.

In order to guarantee the rapid processing of your

cover page of your operating instructions (bot-

nel you can send a product reported as defective
in to the service address provided free of charge

In order to avoid acceptance problems and addi-
tional costs please ensure that you use only the ad-
dress provided to you or consult with your sales cen-
tre. Ensure that the shipping is not implemented
“freight-collect” via bulk goods shipping, ex-
press shipping or using any other special cargo
service. Please send in the device along with all ac-
cessory parts included in the sale and ensure that it is
appropriately and securely packaged.
Repair service
You can have repairs carried out, outside the
guarantee, by our service department, subject
to charge. They will be happy to prepare a cost
estimate for you. We can only deal with devic-
es that have been sent in appropriately pack-
aged and shipped to us postage-paid. Atten-
tion: Please send you device cleaned and with
details on the defect to our service department.
Packages shipped “freight-collect” via bulk
goods shipping, express shipping or using
any other special cargo service will not be
accepted. We will dispose of the defective de-
vice you send in free of charge.
