The Fluke 67 MAX accuracy complies with and is accuracy tested in accordance with ASTM
E1965-98 and ISO 80601-2-56 standards. The Fluke 67 MAX meets the performance and
labeling requirements provided in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s April 2020
Enforcement Policy for Clinical Electronic Thermometers During the Coronavirus Disease
2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency. The Fluke 67 MAX is not FDA 510(k) cleared,
approved, or authorized.
The product has not been tested on children and thus, may be subject to error when
used on children under 18 years of age.
Indications for Use
The Fluke 67 MAX is a clinical non-contact infrared thermometer intended for the
measurement and monitoring of human body temperature. The device is intended for use in
adults in both healthcare and non-healthcare settings. The measurement should not be
solely or primarily relied upon to diagnose or exclude a diagnosis of any disease.

Introduction
The Fluke 67 MAX Infrared Thermometer (the Product) can determine the surface
temperature by measuring the amount of infrared energy radiated by the subject’s skin.

Safety Information
General Safety Information is in the printed Users Manual that ships with the Product and
at www.fluke.com. More specific safety information is listed where applicable.
A Warning identifies hazardous conditions and procedures that are dangerous to the
user.
The measurement result given by the Product is not a diagnosis. Measurements do
not replace the need for the consultation of a physician, especially if not matching
the patient's symptoms. Seek guidance from a physician to understand the
temperature reading.
Warning
To prevent personal injury or possible mis-diagnosis of body
temperature:
• Read all safety information In the Users Manual before you use the
Product.
• Take measurements on the forehead only.

Directions for Use
For the best results and to reduce errors, use proper measurement
techniques:
• Remember that skin temperature can be affected by:
• Exercise
• Hot or cold ambient temperature conditions.
• Objects between the forehead and the thermometer during measurement
• Do not use the Product when:
• The Product is outside the distance range of 2 in to 6 in (50 mm to
150 mm) from the forehead.
• The ambient temperature is outside of the operating range: 59 °F to
104 °F (15 °C to 40 °C)

Before Initial Use:
1. Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the battery door.
2. Insert an AA battery and replace battery door.
Make sure the screw is tight after the battery door is replaced.
To Make a Measurement:
1. Pull and hold the trigger for 2 seconds. Wait for the temperature to stabilize.
It takes a few seconds to stabilize if not initially pointed at the forehead.
2. Point the Product at the center of the forehead to obtain a measurement.
Keep the Product at a distance of 2 in to 6 in (50 mm to 150 mm) from the forehead.
For best results, nothing should obstruct the measurement area on the forehead.
Obstructions include hair, hats, caps, or anything that is between the thermometer
and the forehead.
3. To scan the forehead for the hottest temperature, continue to hold the trigger.
While scanning, the hottest recorded temperature is rounded and shows in the
bottom right of the display.
