INS RUC IONS FOR USE
The transmitters and the receivers come with the IP and MAC default addresses assigned, as follows:
To assign or change the IP and MAC addresses of the transmitters and receivers take the following
instructions into consideration:
1.- CHANGE HE COMPU ER’S IP ADDRESS
In order to make any changes to the IP and MAC addresses of mods. FO-455M and FO-456MR, it is
neccessary to assign the computer an IP address within the same range as the devices in the installation.
Follow the steps below:
160311_FO-455M_FO-456MR_MANUAL_(EN)_Maqueta ión 1 14/3/16 8:31 Página 6

- In your computer click on Start/Control Panel/Network and shared resources centre.
- Select the option Change configuration of the adapter and then select the ethernet network card. With the

2.- CHANGE HE IP AND MAC ADDRESSES OF HE RANSMI ERS AND RECEIVERS
If several FO-455M transmitters and several FO-456MR receivers are connected through a switch, the IP
and MAC addresses which are assigned by default to each device must be changed. These IP and MAC
addresses must be different to each of the extra transmitters and receivers which are added to the
installation. The IP and MAC addresses of the original transmitter and receiver can be maintained, which
are as follows:
Follow the steps described below to change the IP and MAC addresses of the transmitters and receivers:
-Step 1: connect the device (transmitter or receiver) to the computer using the Cat 5e/6 cable and powering
the device using the mains adapter provided.
-Step 2: modification of the IP and MAC addresses of each device.
Open the internet browser and enter the the IP address that is to be modified (transmitter or receiver) in
order to access the device’s configuration menu.
In this example, a receiver is being modified (http://192.168.168.56):
Click on the System button and modify the device’s IP and MAC address. Assign a value between 1and
255 to the last interval of the IP address and a value between 00 and ff to the last interval of the MAC
address.
Note: remember that these addresses must be different for each of the transmitters and receivers in the
installation.
