IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to property, basic important safety
instructions must be observed including the following:
• Read the instruction manual thoroughly and retain for future reference. Ensure you know
how the electric blanket works and how to operate it before use.
• Always turn the power off at the power outlet before you insert or remove a plug. Remove
by grasping the plug. Do not pull on the cord.
• Turn the power off and remove the plug when the electric blanket is not in use or before
cleaning.
• Always use the electric blanket from a power outlet of the voltage (A.C. only) marked on
the rating label.
• Use only the type of controller marked on the rating label.
• Do not use if blanket is damp or wet.
• This blanket is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
• Do not use together with another heating appliance.
• The blanket is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the blanket by a person responsible for
their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the blanket.
• If the supply cord of this blanket is damaged, it must only be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This blanket must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable
persons who are unable to react to overheating.
• Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react
to overheating.
Fitted Electric Blankets
• The appliance should not be used on an adjustable bed.
• Place blanket on bed with the mains lead at the pillow end. Ensure the controller emerges
from the top side of the blanket and that heating elements do not emerge under the
pillow area.
• The four clasps on the corners should be fixed tightly to the bed to prevent the blanket
from moving or creasing. (The creased part tends to cause high temperature which is very
dangerous.)
USING THE BLANKET
• Connect the controller to the blanket (The blanket has a socket attached that the
controller slots into) and ensure it is fully connected.
• Ensure there is a mains supply nearby and that, when in use, the mains lead will not be
in a position that could create a trip hazard. When plugged into the mains supply, the
controller must be within easy reach of the user.
Remote operating functions:
Please set preheating at the highest tap position 30-60 minutes
before using. When using, select the appropriate tap position
according to feeling. If the user will go to sleep or use for a long
time, please set at “1” tap position (which is the lowest position)
to avoid overheating.
• Application method
The starting up state is the standby state. The yellow indicator light
is on.
a. Press TEMP and display the temperature at one tap position
and the timing state at eight hours.
b. Continuously press TEMP. The displayed temperature will
circulate from one to five tap positions. The corresponding red
indicator light will display from one light to five lights. When
setting at high temperature (tap position with five red indicator
lights on), it will automatically change to low temperature tap
position with one red indicator light on one hour later.
c. Press TIME. The timing state is from one to eight hours and
the corresponding green indicator light will be on. The number
of indicator lights which are on will be accumulated. After the timing, it will change to
standby state.
d. Cancel is the reset key. Press it and it will cancel the
functional state and switch to standby.
• Fault introductions
If the temperature indicator lights flicker alternatively, please check whether the coupler
of the electric blanket has been connected firmly or not and restart it. If the fault cannot
be removed, it means the internal connection in the electric blanket is faulty and repair is
needed.
If the temperature indicator lights flicker at the same time, it means the temperature of the
heating elements is too high. Please use the electric blanket after it cools down. If the fault
cannot be removed, the electric blanket has been broken.
Disconnecting cord:
Please switch off the blanket after you get up, and then unplug the blanket from the
power supply.
To remove the controller, lift the
locking tab up with your finger
and pull the plug directly out. Do
not pull the controller cable. Do
not pull out the controller plug
without lifting the locking tab as
you will damage the socket.
