VANDBAR

Purpose of use
VANDBR is an adjustable training-rack for sport exercises with one’s own body weight.
VANDBAR shall only be used for it’s purpose of use. VANDBAR is not a cable pull station and for
indoor use only.
Use classes S, H and I acc. to EN ISO 20957-1:2014-05.
VANDBAR shall not be used in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.

Be aware, that there are neodym magnets installed inside the lock stud and lock traget.
-Lock stud: 4x neodym magnets Ø6x12
-Lock target: 2x neodym magnets Ø6x12
In case you have a pacemaker, please seek medical advice bevor use.

For installation, assure a minimum clearance of 2 m radius from the midpoint of the bar holds.

Safety information
Important information regarding installation
-Install VANDBAR with at least two persons.
-Do not block any escape and emergency routes during installation.
-Keep any children or pets save away from the installation area.
-Any existing skirting boards on the wall need to be removed before installation in the area of
installation.
-Check for any power lines or water pipes in the drilling area for bottom and head plate, in case
of uncertainty, seek professional advice from an electrician and / or plumber.
-VANDBAR must be installed inside, if installed outside, any warranty claims expire.
-An installation must be on a brick, concrete or solid wooden wall. A minimum load of 0,21 kN per
peg and screw is needed (0,21 kN is equivalent of one Fischer concrete screw SXRL 10 x 100
FUS A4 in autoclaved cellular concrete at 70 mm minimum depth). 8x SXRL 10 x 100 FUS A4
need to be installed. In case of an installation on wooden walls, the min. wall thickness must be
15 cm (wood screw‘s min. 8 x Ø8mm and length 120 mm -not within the scope of supply).
-A corresponding load table can be found at www.fischer.de for concrete materials.
-An installation on any other wall material must be evaluated by an architect, civil engineer or
structural engineer.
-Follow each installation step carefully .

Important information regarding usage
-Check the proper installation before use.
-VANDBAR shall only be used by one person at the time.
-If VANDBAR is not in use, both bar holds should be placed at the most upper position incl. inserted lock
stud. Do not tighten handle screw when not in use.
-Keep VANDBAR dry and clean at all times.
-In case of any damage, unusual high wearout or malfunctioning, VANDBAR shall not be used. Please get
in contact with the VANDBAR service to evaluted the status.
-Wrong repairs, changes or manipulations can lead to damages and / or possible injuries.
-It is recommended, not to wear any jewellery or rings during usage of VANDBAR.
-Keep away any body parts, hair and clothing from moving parts.
-Best wear sportswear and gym shoes.
-Do not wear any oversized clothing and / or high-heeled shoes.

-Check VANDBAR each time before use visually.
-In case of injuries, underlying (medical) conditions or use of medication, please seek medical advice
before use..
-Have your health condition checked before use.
-It is recommend to perform warm-up exercises and avoid overtraining.
-Do not put any other items into lock holes in the sliding tubes, except the lock stud into the lock traget.
-Inside the sliding tubes, there are counterweights. A free sliding of the counterweights inside the sliding
tubes must be enabled at all times.
-VANDBAR is not a cable pull station. The counterweights inside the sliding tubes only function as
counterbalance to keep the bar holds in position to find a locking position.
-The steel wire always need to have a slight tension of the counterweights.

If there are skirting boards on the wall, they must be removed in the installation area before
installation.

Installation step 1 –Skirting board removal
ØAny existing skirting boards on the wall need to be
removed before installation in the area of installation.
ØLater, skirting boards can be fitted left and right of the
bottom plate again.
Installation step 2 –Mark drilling holes at bottom plate
ØPlace bottom plate and mark drilling holes with a pencil.
ØCheck if the fixed felt pads (4x) on bottom plate are still
in place.
Attention: Did you check for any power lines or water
pipes in the drilling area for bottom and head plate (see
also page 26)?

Installation step 3 –Place floor cover
ØPlace floor cover to protect components and floor (for
example a blanket).

Installation step 4 –Drilling bottom plate holes
ØPre-drill with percussion drill for drilling in concrete and
concrete drill 6 mm and re-drill with concrete drill 10 mm
for pegs (minimum drilling depth 110 mm)
ØPlace peg into drilling holes and fully hammer in pegs
ØClean area from any drilling dust by vacuum cleaner

ØPosition sliding tube 1 on floor cover
ØAlign sliding tube 1 in a way, that the smaller inside tubes
face 6 and 12 o‘clock as well as the lock holes 3 and 9
o‘clock
