Universal Wall-Sleeve Dimensions
1. Identify thewall-sleeve brand foryour preparing, from the below chart.

NOTE
•All wall sleeves usedto mount the newair conditioner must bein sound structural condition andhave a rear
grille that securely attached tothe sleeve, or rearflange that serves asa stop for theair conditioner.

CAUTION
When installation is complete, replacement unitmust have rearwardslope as shown in Fig 1.
2. Remove old Air Conditionerfrom wall sleeve and prepare as followings:
--- Clean interior (Do not disturbseals).
--- Check thewall sleeve besecurely fastened in wall before installing. Add more nails or screwsif needed.
--- Repair painted surface if needed.
3. If theground wire holedoes not exist, drill a 3/16'' pilot hole forthe grounding screwthrough the left hand
side of the sleeve, in aclear area about 3 inches max. back from thefront edge asbelow. Pull the loose
end of the ground wire outof the front of the sleeve and bend itaway from theopening. This will be
attached to the air conditioner onceinstalled.
4. Install new unit into wallsleeve.
5. To attach groundwire to the new unit, removethe screw fromthe left side front.
6. Assembleand install theTrim Frame.

NOTE
• This unit´s increased performancecharacteristics is theresult of havingtwo rear intakes.
• It is veryimportant that theseinstallation instructions are followed so yourunit can operate at maximum
efficiency.
• If there isan existing sleeveand rear grille, please check whetherthe dimension is suitable or not, otherwise
replace them.
Existing Frigidaire sleevesmay have oldersingle-sided intake grilles, as below picturesshow.
1. These grillesshould be replaced with the dualintake grille type,as shown in the pictures below.
• Remove theexisting grille andsave the mountingscrews.
• Place thegrille included withyour new airconditioner
towards the insiderear of thesleeve.
• Attachthe new grilleby aligning thefour mounting holes.
• Re-insert theself-tapping screws intothe nylon retainers.
2. Grille Removal
Important: Single intakegrille must beremoved when used with dual intakeTTW unit.
Warning: When removing grille, protect it fromfalling by securing witha leash. Thiscan be fastenedfrom cord
or strapping loopedthrough the grilleand secured with a knot.
While holding thegrille by theleash with one hand, the retainingscrews can be removed and the grille can be
brought inside throughthe front ofthe sleeve.

Direct Unit Mounting
In case wherethe dual intakegrille cannot be mounted directly tothe sleeve itis desirable to attach the grilleto
the back ofthe TTW unitto the holepredrilled in theunit.
1. Attachthe 2 seals(1''x3/8''x14''),as shown in Fig. 1.
2. Position thegrille over therear of the unit making surethat:
a.The doubleset of screwholes are at the bottom.
b.The intakefins on eitherside are pointed away from theunit.
3. Alignthe top ofthe grille with the top ofthe unit. Theoverhang on eachside is equal.
4. If theunit has notbeen predrilled (some models), carefully drill4-1/8'' holes throughthe grille and into the side
flange of theunit approximately 11/2'' to 2'' from the topand bottom, as Fig. 2 and 3 show. (Be careful not to
break the copperpipe)
5. Install 4-#8self-tapping screws toaffix the grilleto the unit.
6. Insert theunit into thesleeve.
Grille to SleeveAttachment
In case wherethe dual intakegrille fits inside the sleeve andthe grille flangeoverlaps the sleeve flange, direct
attachment may bepossible.
IMPORTANT
If the suitablegrille is notused, it may lead to productdamage and possiblefailure.

Seal Installation
1. 1''x3/8''x25'' longseal in thecenter at the top of thesleeve. Remove theback paper and press into position.
2. 1''x3/8''x14'' sealsto the leftand right sides of the sleeve.
3. Cut 1''x3/8''x25''long seals to14'' long each and attach tothe vertical sectionsof the grille as shown.
4. 1/2''x3 1/2''x11/2'' centering blocksone on each side wall. Placein center ofside wall with the tapered end
facing the opening.
5. Gently slideunit into sleeve.
Ground Wire Installation
1. Install screwend of groundwire into inside of sleeve accordingto preparation instruction.
2. Before slidingunit all theway back remove second screw fromleft side ofunit.
3. Remove plasticwasher from screw.
4. Screw theother end ofthe ground wire into the unitas shown. Makesure the toothed washer is againstthe
cabinet.
5. Slide unitcompletely to therear.
Non-Frigidaire Dual IntakeGrille
In case wherethe existing sleeveis a non-Frigidaire sleeve but isinstalled with adual intake grille, the existing.
grille may beleft in place.Make sure the outer 3 1/2''to 4 1/2''louvers are angled from the leftand right sides of
the sleeve towardthe center,as Fig. 1 shows. This provides properflow of outside air into theunit.
From the installationkit, apply two1''x3/4''x14'' seals along the flat metalflange of thecondenser, as Fig. 2 shows.

Insert the unitwith the sealinto the sleeve pushing it allthe way to the rear, making sure the seals are against the
rear grille. Theseals are necessary to reduce recirculationof hot air into the intakeswhich would reducesystem
performance.
An option isto purchase 3/4''diamond cut aluminum grille and cutit to fit inside the sleeve.Secure it with screws.
Attach the dualintake grill directlyto the back of the unit.Slide the entire unit into thesleeve and seal with the
stuffing seal suppliedwith the kit.
Trim Kit Installation Instructions
1. Install the1''x1''x84'' long stufferseal between thewall sleeve and the unit.A flat-bladedscrewdriver or putty
knife is needed.
2. Assemblethe trim frameby inserting the top and bottompieces into side pieces and snappinginto place.
3. Pull thecord through thetrim frame and slide the trimover the unit until flush withthe wall.
Energy saving suggestion:In order toreach the maximum energy saving andcomfortability, it is necessary to
use an appropriatelysized cover toprovide additional insulation and air sealingwhen the unit is not inuse
during the off-using-season.

1. Without timer setting, the set
temperature will be displayed.
Time will be displayed under timer setting.the
Digital Display:
+ and - Button:2. Use these buttons on the
control panel and remote to increase or decrease
the Set Temperature or Timer.
Temperature range: 61 ~88 or 16 ~31 .
3. Turn the air conditioner on and off.Button:
Press the mode button to cycle
through the various modes: Cool, Dry, Fan and
Auto, or Heat.
4. Mode Button:
Use these buttons on the control
panel and remote to set the Timer.
Timer Off: The timed stop is programmed by
pressing TIMER button. Set therest time by
pressing the button +or -until the rest
time displayed is to your then press
TIMER button again.
Timer On: When the unit is off, press TIMER
button at the first time, set the temperature with
pressing the button +or -. Press TIMER
button at the second time, set the rest time with
pressing the button +or -. Press TIMER
button at the third time, confirm the setting, then
the rest time to next automatical switching-on
could be read on the display of the machine.
Note: It can be set to automatically turn off or on in
0.5-24 hours. Each press of the +-
buttons will increase or decrease the timer. The
Timer can be set in 0.5 hours increment below 10
hours and 1 hour increment for 10 hours or above.
The SET light will turn on while setting.
To cancel the set function, press the TIMER
button again.

5. Timer Button:
Cool Mode: The cooling function allows the air
conditioner to cool the room and at the same time
reduces . Press the MODE button to
activate the cooling function. To optimize the
function of the air conditioner, adjust the
temperature and the speed by pressing the button
indicated.
Dry Mode: This function reduces the humidity of
the air to make the room more comfortable. Press
MODE button to set the DRY mode. An automatic
function of alternating cooling cycles and air fan
is activated.
Fan Mode: The conditioner works in only
ventilation. Press MODE button to set the FAN
mode. With pressing FAN SPEED button the
speed changes in the following sequence: Hi, Med
and Lo in FAN mode.

Auto Mode: In AUTO mode the unit automatically
chooses the fan speed and the mode of operation
(COOL,HEAT,DRY or FAN). In this mode the
temperature are set automatically according to
the room temperature (tested by the temperature
sensor which is incorporated in the indoor unit.).
Heat Mode: The heating function allows the air
conditioner to heat the room. Press the MODE
button to activate the heating function. To optimize
the function of the air conditioner, adjust the
temperature and the speed by pressing the button
indicated.

When the unit is in Money
Saver mode, the light will turn on. In Money Saver
mode, the unit will turn-offonce the room is cooled
to the user set temperature.
The unit will turn back on when the room
temperature rises above the user set temperature.
Before the compressor , the fan motor will
run for 20 sec.,

then it will stop for 10 min., It will
repeat to provide a much more comfortable feeling
and save energy.

Press the SLEEP button, all the
display lights will turn off after a while, butthe
Sleep Light is always on. In SLEEP mode, theair-
conditioner will automatically adjust the
temperature and fan speed to make the room more
comfortable during the night. For cooling mode, the
set temperature will automatically raise every 30-60
minutes and at most change six times until the set
temperature is 81 or 82 . For heating mode, the
set temperature will automatically decrease every
30-60 minutes and at most change six times until
the set temperature is 75 or 76 .
And every running time depends on the set
temperature.

Press the FAN SPEED button
to choose the fan speed options. You can choose
Hi, Med, Lo or auto speed in COOL mode and
choose Hi, Med, Lo in FAN mode.

1. Power: Turnthe air conditioneron and off.This button will
clear the TIMERsetting.
2. MODE: Press the button to select the mode of operation, AUTO, COOL,
DRY, FAN ONLY, HEAT.
Note: The HEAT mode is only for some heating models. If you do not
need it, press the MODE button for more than 5 seconds to delete the
HEAT function, and the COOL mode will be selected automatically.
Press the MODE again for more than 5 seconds to add the HEAT
function, and the HEAT mode will be selected automatically.
3. And : Use these buttons to increase or decrease the setting
Temperature or Timer. Setting temperature range: 61 ~88 or 16 ~31 .
Note: When the remote controller is turn-off, press and buttons can
pre-set the temperature. After the setting, the remote temperature display
will be off after a while.
4. TURBO: When the remote is ON, press the button to active the TURBO
function, under AUTO/COOL/FAN ONLY mode. Press again to cancel the
TURBO function, and the fan speed will change to pre-setting before.
Note: and change: After insert the batteries, in the off state within 3
minutes, press the TURBO button for more than 5 seconds to switch the
Fahrenheit ( ) or Celsius ( ) degree display.
5. DISPLAY: When the unit is ON, press the button, to switch off/on all lights
or LED display. And this function will be canceled when changing mode.
6. TIMER: Use the button to set the TIMER, or cancel the TIMER.
TIMER OFF: When the unit is ON, the timed OFF is programmed by
pressing TIMER button, the remote will display 6 hours pre-setting at first.
Set the rest time by pressing the button or until the needed rest time
display, then press TIMER button again to confirm.
TIMER ON: When the unit is OFF, the timed ON is programmed by pressing
TIMER button, the remote will display 6 hours pre-setting at first. Set the
rest time by pressing the button or until the needed rest time display,
then press TIMER button again to confirm. Later, the remote screen will keep
display [TIMER] icon.
Note: When TIMER ON, it cannot select Sleep mode, but can pre-set Mode,
temperature, fan speed, ECO.

will automatically adjust the temperature and fan speed to make the room

8. FAN SPEED: Press the FAN SPEED button to choose the fan speed options.

choose Hi, Med, Lo in FAN mode. When DRY mode, it is only Low fan speed.
9. MONEY SAVER: When the unit is in COOL mode, press the button to
MONEY SAVER function. In MONEY SAVER mode, the unit will turn off
once the room is cooled to the user set temperature. The unit will turn back
on when the room temperature rises above the user set temperature. Before
the compressor starts, the fan motor will run for 20 sec., then it will stop for
10 min., and will repeat to provide a much more comfortable feeling and
save energy.
10. Child Lock: pressing the button or for more than 2 seconds to lock
or unlock the remote controller. When locked, each function button is no
useful, and the lock icon will flash when press any button.
