Introduction
The handheld optical light source is a ber optic tester that can provide
dual-wavelength laser output. It provides excellent power stability for FTTx
networks and ber network testing. When combining with a power meter, it
oers a quick and accurate testing solution on both singlemode and multimode
bers. The gures below display the product images of the two optical light
sources.

1. Power On/O and Auto-o Function
Press the button briey. The instrument powers on.
Press the button briey again. The instrument powers o.
2. Select Wavelength
Press the button to select the wavelength between 1310nm and 1550nm
(FOLS-203), or between 850nm and 1300nm (FOLS-204).
3. Frequency Output
The instrument defaults to CW when it switches on. When it sets to CW, there is
no frequency on display.
Press the button to select the output among 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz.
4. Switch Backlight of LCD On/O
Press the button to switch the backlight of the LCD on and o.

Operation Instructions
NOTE: Auto-o function
(1) The instrument will power o automatically if 10 minutes without
any operation.
(2) While in the power-on state, press the button for about 2
seconds to turn o the“Auto-o”function.

Maintenance
(1) The interface is sensitive, please carefully plugin and pull out the adapter.
(2) Take out the batteries when not in use.
(3) Keep regular cleanings on optical port of an optical light source with cotton
swabs.
(4) In order to avoid the electric shock, please do not disassemble the
components. Disobeying the standard instruction may lead to safety issues.
(5) In order to avoid measurement errors, please cover the dust-proof cap to
ensure the optical interface is clean when the unit is not in use.
(6) Do not view the laser output directly when using the optical light source. Or
else, the personal injury should not be attributed to the product and FS.

Einführung
Diese tragbare optische Lichtquelle ist ein Glasfasertester, der einen Laserausgang

2. Wellenlänge wählen
Drücken Sie die Taste , um die Wellenlänge zwischen 1310nm und 1550nm
(FOLS-203) bzw. zwischen 850nm und 1300nm (FOLS-204) auszuwählen.
3. Frequenzausgang
Das Gerät ist beim Einschalten standardmäßig auf CW eingestellt. Wenn es auf CW
eingestellt ist, wird keine Frequenz angezeigt.
Drücken Sie die Taste , um den Ausgang zwischen 270Hz, 1kHz und 2kHz zu
wählen.
4. Hintergrundbeleuchtung der LCD-Anzeige ein-/ausschalten
Drücken Sie die Taste , um die Hintergrundbeleuchtung der LCD-Anzeige
ein- und auszuschalten.

Betriebsanleitung
HINWEIS: Auto-o-Funktion
(1) Das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch aus, wenn 10 Minuten lang
keine Bedienung erfolgt.
(2) Drücken Sie im eingeschalteten Zustand die Taste für ca. 2
Sekunden, um die "Auto-o"-Funktion auszuschalten.

(1) Das Interface ist empndlich, bitte stecken Sie den Adapter vorsichtig ein und
ziehen Sie ihn heraus.
(2) Nehmen Sie die Batterien heraus, wenn sie nicht benutzt werden.

Wattestäbchen.

Komponenten nicht. Die Nichtbeachtung der Standardanweisung kann zu
Sicherheitsproblemen führen.
(5) Um Messfehler zu vermeiden, decken Sie bitte die staubdichte Kappe ab, um
sicherzustellen, dass das optische Interface sauber ist, wenn das Gerät nicht in
Gebrauch ist.
(6) Schauen Sie nicht direkt in den Laserausgang, wenn Sie die optische
Lichtquelle verwenden. Andernfalls kann es zu Personenschäden kommen, die
nicht auf das Produkt und FS zurückzuführen sind.

Introduction
La source lumineuse optique portable est un testeur de bre optique qui fournit
une sortie laser à double longueur d'onde. Elle ore une excellente stabilité de
puissance pour les tests de réseaux en bre optique et FTTx. Utilisé avec un
