BEFORE CLEANING
Remove documents from the stacker.
Pull up the lever on the right front of
the upper transport and raise it.
Pad Assy
Guide Plate
Pull the ADF release lever towards you
and lift up theADF upper sheet guide. Press down on the upper part of the
guide plate with your fingers at the
two positions shown, rotate the plate
towards you and remove it.
Wipe the translucent rubber part of
the pad ASSY using cleaning paper
moistened with cleaner F1.

While pulling the ADF lever towards you,
lift up the ADF upper sheet guide. Slide the Pick Roller unit to the left to
disengage the clutch ring from the shaft. Wipeboth Pick Rollers (2 positions)
and the Separation Roller using
cleaning paper moistened with F1
cleaner.

While pulling the ADF lever towards
you, lift up the ADF upper sheet
guide.
Pressing down on the upper part
of the Guide Plate with your
fingers, pull the plate towards
you to remove.
Cleaning the Brake Rollers - Recommended Cleaning Cycle Every 300,000 Sheets
Lift the bail of the Brake Roller upwards
and release the lock. Pull the Brake
Roller forward to remove it. Wipe roller
surface using cleaning
paper moistened with
cleaner F1.
Brake Roller
Feed Rollers
(in 12 locations)
Wipe the metal feed rollers using a lint free cloth moistened with cleaner F2. Wipe the rollers
thoroughly. If the rollers have black build up, feed reliability will be affected

Use your index fingers to lift both
ends of the removable sheet guide.
Lift right side first.
Shift the sheet guide to the left while
lifting up to remove.
Removable Sheet Guide
Wipe both sides of the glass
surface using a cleaning paper
moistened with cleaner F1.
