Dofin Breathing Trainer -Inspiration User Manual

Take 30 breaths for every train, and train
twice a day, five days a week. If each train
could be easily done, patients may upgrade
level next week. In procedure, monitor vital
signs and SpO2 for adjusting training level.

•Please follow the physician’s order and medical staff's instructions.
•People with poor consciousness and unable to follow instructions are not
recommended for breathing training.
•Training should not be admitted in an hour of the meal.
•Single patient use to avoid cross contamination.
•It’s not recommended for people under 16 y/o to use the device by themselves.
•Patients with Spontaneous tension pneumothorax do not admit the
breathing training, in order to avoid the relapse. Otherwise, patients with
traumatic pneumothorax and rib fracture before completely recover are the
absolute contraindication of using this device.
•Patients with herniation need physician’s confirmation before using the device.

Set 30%of MIP as an initial s etting , then

Make sure the lips form a tight seal around the
mouthpiece, blow out slowly and then take a deep
breath as soon as possible. Hold the breath, then exhale
slowly. The yellow ball would move during the training.
Rest for 30 seconds after every 30 breaths.

Caution
•Breathing too fast may result in slight dizziness, please rest for a while
between one breath to another in order to relieve the symptoms;
expiratory valve could be adjusted smaller to prolong the expiratory time.
Below are the normal signs after breathing training just as common
aerobic exercise: slightly increased heartbeat, slight dyspnea, sweat a little.
•Inspiratory and Expiratory training should be admitted separately.

•Training should be suspended until the symptoms mentioned below relieve:
•Difficulty breathing or dizziness, breath with accessory muscles, lips turn to be
purple, tachycardia, shortness of breath and desaturation. Symptoms may be
different from person to person, which should be checked by physicians.
•In the case of a cold, sinusitis or respiratory tract infection, it is recommended to
stop using the device until the symptoms relieve. 。
