Elevated Grow Shelter
Turn your ' x ' Elevated Raised Bed into a mini greenhouse and protect your plants from wind, cold and pests. The reinforced
PVC cover has four built-in, zippered mesh screens to allow plenty of ventilation while keeping pests out. The powder-coated steel
frame fastens securely to your raised bed for added wind resistance.

Tool required: Phillips screwdriver
Frame Assembly
Step 1. Organize and identify all parts.
Step 2. Assemble one end of the Grow Shelter frame by
connecting two Bow Frame sections with a -way Connector
(Figure ). Add a -way Connector to base of each Bow Frame
section. See Figure  Upper Corner detail for the correct
orientation of the -way Connector. Be sure to orient the open
sides of all Connectors so that they face the same direction.
Step 3. Add a Short Tube to the bottom of both -way Connectors
(Figure ). Connect the two -way Connectors with a Long
Tube.
Step 4. Add a -way Connector to the bottom of both Short Tubes.
See Figure  Lower Corner detail for orientation of parts. Be sure
to orient the open sides of all Connectors in the same direction.
Step 5. Repeat Steps  through  to complete the other end of the Grow Shelter. Use
the remaining five Long Tubes to connect the two assembled ends (Figure ).
Step 6. Place the assembled Grow Shelter frame onto your ' x ' Elevated Raised Bed,
setting the bottom of the -way Connectors into the open tops of the aluminum
corners of the bed. Note: You may have to remove the plastic Corner Caps if your
bed was previously assembled.
Step 7. Use the four Pipe Clamps and Screws to fasten the assembled frame to your
raised bed. Slide the curved part of the clamp over the Long Tube and screw it into
the cedar side of the raised bed. Repeat to attach Pipe Clamps to the other three
sides of the raised bed.

Cover Assembly
The Upper and Lower Covers each have two zippered windows. For the best ventilation, we recommend orienting the Covers so
that you end up with one window on each of the four sides of your raised bed. Note the position of the windows in Figures  and .
Step 8. Orient the Lower Cover so that the zippered door hinges are on the bottom. The doors should be positioned so that they are
opposite the curved sides of the frame (Figure ). Tie the upper corner of one end of the cover to a corner of the assembled frame
(Figure ). Tie the bottom corner of the cover to the bottom corner of the frame, just above the raised bed corner.
Step 9. Wrap the Lower Cover around the frame, attaching it with ties at the corners and along the horizontal Long Tubes (Figure ).
Firmly adhere the hook-and-loop strips at the corner where the two ends meets.
Step 10. Place the Upper Cover over the top of the frame
with the zippered windows in the curved ends of the
frame (Figure ). Align the hook-and-loop sections
on the Upper and Lower Covers and fasten together.
Assembly is complete!
Using the Grow Shelter
Each zippered window has two sets of ribbon ties
sewn into the hinged side. Use these to tie the rolled-up
windows in place when they're unzipped.
To allow pollinating insects into your Grow Shelter,
unzip the insect screens on warm, sunny days when your
plants are blooming.
Important: Open both upper windows for ventilation
on sunny days to prevent excessive heat build up. Unzip all
windows for maximum ventilation.
Important: The Grow Shelter cover is not designed to
withstand a load of snow or ice. Please remove the cover
prior to wintery weather.
