Remote Overview

Pairing the Remote with Your Device
The first time you connect the VIRB remote to your VIRB
device, you must pair the remote with your device.
1On the VIRB device, select SETUP > Remote > Remote to
turn on the remote control feature.
2On the VIRB remote, select any key.
The status LED starts flashing green.
3On the VIRB remote, hold two keys simultaneously until the
status LED starts alternating green and red, and release the
keys.
The remote searches for your VIRB device. When the
remote pairs successfully, the status LED flashes green 12
times.
After the remote is paired, it connects to your device whenever
the device is in range and turned on.
Using the Mounts
Several mounts are available for your remote, either included
with the product or as an optional accessory. The mounts allow
you to attach the remote to your body, your bike, or other
objects.
• Align two of the notches À with the sides of the mount, and
press the remote into the mount until it clicks.
• Press gently on the release tab Á, and lift the remote from
the mount.
Replacing the Battery
WARNING
Do not use a sharp object to remove batteries.
Keep the battery away from children.
Never put batteries in mouth. If swallowed, contact your
physician or local poison control center.
Replaceable coin cell batteries may contain perchlorate
material. Special handling may apply. See
www.dtsc.ca.gov.hazardouswaste/perchlorate.
CAUTION
Contact your local waste disposal department to properly
recycle the batteries.
Before you can replace the battery, you must have a small
Phillips screwdriver, a small flat screwdriver, and a CR2032
lithium coin-cell battery.
1Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the three screws from
the back plate À.
2Remove the back plate from the remote.
3Wrap the end of a small flat screwdriver with tape.
The tape protects the battery, battery compartment, and
contacts from damage.
4Carefully pry the battery from the back plate.
5Install the new battery into the back plate with the positive
side facing down.
6Verify the gasket Á is fully seated in the groove.

7Replace the backplate, aligning the post  with the gap in
the circuit board Ã.
8Replace and tighten the three screws.
NOTE: Do not overtighten.

Couplage de la télécommande avec votre
appareil
Lors de la première connexion de la télécommande VIRB avec
votre appareil VIRB, vous devez coupler la télécommande avec
celui-ci.
1Sur l'appareil VIRB, sélectionnez REGLAGE >
Télécommande > Télécommande pour activer la fonction
télécommande.
2Sur la télécommande VIRB, sélectionnez la touche de votre
choix.
Le voyant DEL d'état commence à clignoter vert.
3Sur la télécommande VIRB, maintenez enfoncées deux
touches simultanément jusqu'à ce que le voyant DEL d'état
commence à clignoter vert et rouge, puis relâchez.
La télécommande recherche actuellement votre appareil
VIRB. Une fois le couplage de la télécommande effectué
correctement, le voyant DEL d'état clignote vert 12 fois de
suite.
Dès lors, elle sera connectée avec votre appareil quand il sera
à portée et sous tension.
Utilisation des supports
Plusieurs supports sont disponibles avec votre télécommande,
qu'ils soient livrés avec le produit ou proposés en accessoires
en option. Les supports vous permettent de fixer la
télécommande sur vous, votre vélo ou d'autres objets.
• Alignez les deux encoches À sur les côtés du support et
enfoncez la télécommande dans le support jusqu'à ce qu'un
déclic se produise.
• Appuyez doucement sur la patte de dégagement Á et
soulevez la télécommande du support.
Remplacement de la pile
AVERTISSEMENT
N'utilisez pas d'objet pointu pour retirer les piles.
Gardez la batterie hors de portée des enfants.
Ne mettez jamais les piles dans votre bouche. En cas
d'ingestion, contactez votre médecin ou le centre antipoison le
plus proche.
Les piles boutons remplaçables peuvent contenir du
perchlorate. Une manipulation spéciale peut être nécessaire.

ATTENTION
Contactez votre déchetterie locale pour le recyclage des
batteries.
Avant de pouvoir remplacer la batterie, vous devez avoir à
disposition les éléments suivants : un tournevis cruciforme, un
petit tournevis plat et une pile bouton CR2032 au lithium.
1A l'aide d'un tournevis cruciforme, retirez les trois vis du
cache À.
2Retirez le cache de la télécommande.
3Recouvrez l'extrémité d'un petit tournevis plat à l'aide de
ruban adhésif.
Le ruban protège la pile, le compartiment à piles et les
contacts des dommages.
4Ouvrez délicatement le couvercle de la pile en faisant levier.

5Placez la pile neuve dans le cache, pôle positif vers le bas.
6Vérifiez que le joint Á est parfaitement positionné dans la
rainure.
7Replacez le couvercle, en faisant aligner la borne  sur le
trou situé sur la carte de circuits imprimés Ã.
8Fermez et fixez les trois vis.
REMARQUE : ne serrez pas outre mesure.

Associazione del telecomando al dispositivo
La prima volta che si connette il telecomando VIRB al
dispositivo VIRB, è necessario associare il telecomando al
dispositivo.
1Sul dispositivo VIRB, selezionare IMPOSTAZIONI >
Telecomando > Telecomando per attivare la funzione
telecomando.
2Sul telecomando VIRB, selezionare un tasto.
Il LED di stato inizia a lampeggiare in verde.
3Sul telecomando VIRB, tenere premuti due tasti
simultaneamente finché il LED di stato non inizia l'alternanza
tra il rosso e il verde, quindi rilasciare i tasti.
Il telecomando esegue la ricerca del dispositivo VIRB. Una
volta completata l'associazione, il LED di stato lampeggia 12
volte in verde.
Quando il telecomando è associato, si connette al dispositivo
ogni volta che quest'ultimo si trova nel raggio d'azione ed è
acceso.
Uso dei supporti
Sono disponibili diversi supporti per il telecomando, inclusi con il
prodotto o come accessori opzionali. Il supporti consentono di
agganciare il telecomando al corpo, alla bici o ad altri oggetti.
• Allineare due scanalature À ai lati del supporto e premere il
telecomando all'interno del supporto finché non scatta in
posizione.
• Premere delicatamente la linguetta di rilascio Á ed estrarre il
telecomando dal supporto.
Sostituzione della batteria
ATTENZIONE
Non utilizzare oggetti acuminati per rimuovere le batterie.
Tenere la batteria lontano dalla portata dei bambini.
Non mettere mai le batterie in bocca. Nel caso vengano
ingoiate, contattare un medico o il centro di controllo veleni
locale.
Le batterie a pila di ricambio possono contenere materiale in
perclorato, per cui potrebbe essere richiesto un trattamento

AVVISO
Per un corretto riciclo delle batterie, contattare le autorità locali
preposte.
Prima di poter sostituire la batteria, è necessario disporre di un
cacciavite Phillips di piccole dimensioni, di un cacciavite a testa
piatta e di una batteria a pila al litio CR2032.
1Con un cacciavite Phillips, rimuovere le tre viti dalla piastra
posteriore À.
2Rimuovere la piastra posteriore dal telecomando.
3Avvolgere l'estremità di un cacciavite a testa piatta di piccole
dimensioni con del nastro.
Il nastro protegge la batteria, il vano della batteria e i contatti
da eventuali danni.
4Estrarre delicatamente la batteria dalla piastra posteriore.

5Installare la nuova batteria nella piastra posteriore con il lato
positivo rivolto verso il basso.
6Verificare che la guarnizione Á sia inserita completamente
nella scanalatura.
7Riposizionare la piastra posteriore, allineando la guida  al
foro nella scheda dei circuiti Ã.
8Riposizionare e serrare le tre viti.
NOTA: non stringere eccessivamente.

Anweisungen
Übersicht über die Fernbedienung
ÀAufnahmetaste. Wähle die Taste, um Video auf verbundenen
Geräten aufzunehmen.
ÁFototaste. Wähle die Taste, um ein Foto auf verbundenen Geräten
aufzunehmen.
ÂStopp-Taste. Wähle die Taste, um die Videoaufnahme auf
verbundenen Geräten anzuhalten.

Koppeln der Fernbedienung mit dem Gerät
Wenn du die VIRB Fernbedienung zum ersten Mal mit deiner
VIRB verbinden, musst du beide Geräte miteinander koppeln.
1Wähle auf der VIRB die Option EINSTELLUNGEN >
Fernbedienung > Fernbedienung, um die
Fernbedienungsfunktion zu aktivieren.
2Wähle auf der VIRB Fernbedienung eine beliebige Taste.
Die Status-LED blinkt grün.
3Halte auf der VIRB Fernbedienung gleichzeitig zwei Tasten
gedrückt, bis die Status-LED abwechselnd grün und rot
blinkt. Lass die Tasten dann los.
Die Fernbedienung sucht nach der VIRB. Wenn die
Kopplung mit der Fernbedienung erfolgreich war, blinkt die
Status-LED 12 Mal grün.
Nachdem die Fernbedienung gekoppelt wurde, stellt sie jedes
Mal eine Verbindung mit dem Gerät her, wenn es sich in
Reichweite befindet und eingeschaltet ist.
Verwenden der Halterungen
Für die Fernbedienung sind verschiedene Halterungen
verfügbar. Diese sind entweder im Lieferumfang enthalten oder
als optionales Zubehör erhältlich. Mit den Halterungen lässt sich
die Fernbedienung an deinem Körper, dem Fahrrad oder
anderen Gegenständen anbringen.
• Richte zwei der Einkerbungen À auf die Seiten der
Halterung aus, und drück die Fernbedienung in die
Halterung, bis sie einrastet.
• Drück leicht auf die Entriegelung Á, und nimm die
Fernbedienung aus der Halterung.
Auswechseln der Batterie
WARNUNG
Verwenden Sie zum Entnehmen der Batterien keine scharfen
Gegenstände.
Bewahren Sie den Akku außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern
auf.
Nehmen Sie Akkus niemals in den Mund. Bei Verschlucken
wenden Sie sich unverzüglich an einen Arzt oder die
Vergiftungszentrale vor Ort.
Austauschbare Knopfzellen können Perchlorate enthalten.
Möglicherweise ist eine spezielle Handhabung erforderlich.

ACHTUNG
Wenden Sie sich zum ordnungsgemäßen Recycling der
Batterien an die zuständige Abfallentsorgungsstelle.
Zum Auswechseln der Batterie benötigst du einen kleinen
Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher, einen kleinen, flachen
Schraubendreher und eine CR2032-Lithium-
Knopfzellenbatterie.
1Entferne mit einem Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher die drei
Schrauben an der Rückplatte À.
2Nimm die Rückplatte von der Fernbedienung.
3Umwickele das Ende eines kleinen, flachen
Schraubendrehers mit Klebeband.
Das Klebeband schützt die Batterie, das Batteriefach und die
Kontakte vor Beschädigungen.
4Löse die Batterie vorsichtig aus der Rückplatte.

5Leg die neue Batterie in die Rückplatte ein, wobei die Seite
mit dem Plus nach unten zeigen muss.
6Vergewissere dich, dass die Dichtung Á fest in der
Einkerbung sitzt.
7Setz die Rückplatte wieder auf. Dabei muss der Stift  auf
die Aussparung in der Platine à ausgerichtet sein.
8Setze die drei Schrauben wieder ein, und ziehe sie an.
HINWEIS: Ziehe sie nicht zu fest an.
