Alert system: basic information
When an obstacle is detected in the blind spot area, Gazer BA400 uses on-screen graphical alerts, sound alerts and ashing LED lights
mounted on external rear view mirrors or inside the vehicle to warn the driver about the potential danger. The type of alerts changes
automatically depending on the area where the obstacle is detected. Types of alerts have been specially designed so that the driver could
immediately identify the area where the obstacle is located and assess the level of danger. Sensor operating range includes 3 zones each of
which corresponds to a certain distance separating the obstacle from the vehicle.
Designation of zones Distance to the obstacle Sound alert type
The green zone 1,6 m <L*< 3 m 2 times a second
The yellow zone 0,4 m <L< 1,6 m 4 times a second
The red zone L< 0,4 m Continuous sound
*L – distance from the vehicle to the obstacle.
Caution! Sound alerts are active only when the turn signal is on.
On-screen graphical alerts
Thanks to on-screen graphical alerts operation scheme, the driver knows the exact distance to the obstacle and the direction from which the
obstacle alert signal is coming.
On-screen graphical alerts operation scheme is structured as follows:
Signal from
left-side sensors
Distance
to the obstacle
Signal from
right-side sensors
