Important information
• “Blind spots” are areas around the vehicle that cannot be directly observed in the side view mirrors. Gazer BA400 blind spot monitor is a
useful accessory that promptly warns the driver whenever an object gets into the blind spot.
• Gazer BA400 consists of ultrasonic sensors installed on the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle. A special intelligent algorithm enables
the sensors to alert the driver only about the real danger (guardrails, road trains, vehicles moving in parallel, etc.). Blind spots are mon-
itored within a 3-meter range thus ensuring perfect visibility even in the “next nearest lane” when turning, changing lanes or performing
other maneuvers.
• The alert system is user friendly, intuitive and optimally congured. The alert signal is displayed using special LED indicators mounted inside
the vehicle or on external rear view mirrors as well as by means of sound and graphical alerts that appear on the compact display indicating
the distance to obstacles.

Usage
Alert system: basic information
When an obstacle is detected in the blind spot area, Gazer BA400 uses on-screen graphical alerts, sound alerts and ashing LED lights
mounted on external rear view mirrors or inside the vehicle to warn the driver about the potential danger. The type of alerts changes
automatically depending on the area where the obstacle is detected. Types of alerts have been specially designed so that the driver could
immediately identify the area where the obstacle is located and assess the level of danger. Sensor operating range includes 3 zones each of
which corresponds to a certain distance separating the obstacle from the vehicle.
Designation of zones Distance to the obstacle Sound alert type
The green zone 1,6 m <L*< 3 m 2 times a second
The yellow zone 0,4 m <L< 1,6 m 4 times a second
The red zone L< 0,4 m Continuous sound
*L – distance from the vehicle to the obstacle.
Caution! Sound alerts are active only when the turn signal is on.
On-screen graphical alerts
Thanks to on-screen graphical alerts operation scheme, the driver knows the exact distance to the obstacle and the direction from which the
obstacle alert signal is coming.
On-screen graphical alerts operation scheme is structured as follows:
Signal from
left-side sensors
Distance
to the obstacle
Signal from
right-side sensors

ENG
Usage
Gazer BA400 has an intelligent false alarm protection function. Thanks to a special sensor signal processing algorithm, the system alerts the
driver only about real danger ignoring the objects that do not represent any potential collision hazard (guardrails, road trains, vehicles moving
in parallel, etc.).
False alarm protection function is based on the following algorithm:
No indication No indication Indication yellow
Caution! Whenever the vehicle shifts into reverse, the display and LED indicators switch off automatically. They restart in 5 seconds
after the reverse gear is disengaged.

Caution! When installing the sensor, make sure that no foreign objects are present within its operating range. Keep in mind the position
of the «Up» inscription on the device body: when the sensor is installed, the «Up» inscription must be atop. Install the sensor in parallel
to the ground.
Recommendation: For the system to operate correctly, sensors must be installed at equal distances from the ground (installation
height must be at least 60 cm).

Conguration Description
S1
(sound alert settings when the
turn signal is on)
S1 - sound alert on;
S0 - sound alert off.
H1
(selecting a measurement
system for measuring distance to
obstacles)
H1 - metric system;
Н0 - English units of measure.
C2
(displaying distance to obstacles)
С2 - always display information about obstacles in
the blind spot;
С1 - display distance to obstacles in the blind spot
only when a turn signal is on;
С0 - never distance to obstacles in the blind spot.
Note: The system will automatically exit from the settings mode after 2 seconds of inactivity.
