Also called Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). Micro-needling is aimed at stimulating
the body's own collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stretch
marks, skin laxity and scarring. It has also been successfully used for hair restoration in cases of
alopecia.
iBeautypen® 2 microneedling is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). The idea behind CIT is
similar to that of many other non-surgical skin-tightening procedures in that it aims to create a
controlled Non-Thermal injury underneath the skin’s surface, thereby inducing the body to respond
through the formation of new tissue layers of elastin- and collagen fibers (neo-collagenesis) as well as
new capillaries for an improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis) in the treated area. The skin plumps
and thickens in response to this stimulus, ultimately reducing the appearance of scars, and fine lines
and other skin texture changes. Whenever we can generate openings in the skin we have an
opportunity for topical to penetrate more readily through the channels created.
(0.2 -0.3 mm) are for increased penetration of skin care products into the skin and overall
improvement of skin color and texture. The recommended treatment interval is 3 - 5 days
(0.5 mm) are for wrinkles, anti-aging, light acne scarring, chicken pox scars, acne scars, also
recommended for thinning hair. The recommended treatment interval is 1 weeks.
(1.0 mm) are for deep stretch marks, cellulite and deep scarring. The recommended treatment
interval is 1~2 weeks.
(1.5 mm) are for more severe cases, deep scars and wrinkles, rejuvenation of ruined skin. The
recommended treatment interval is 1~2 weeks.
(2.0mm--2.5mm) are for severe cases of scarring and wrinkles. The recommended treatment
interval is 2 weeks.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), or micro needling, is the procedure by which the body's natural
response to healing is used to increase the amount of extracellular matrix such as collagen or elastin
in the skin. iBeautypen® 2 creates micro-channels that allow for leakage of blood, serum, and lymph
in a controlled and temporary manner. These "injuries" are enough to initiate the wound-healing
cascade. There are three basic phases to illustrate how micro needling works.

Activated by piercing the dermal tissue, platelets release cytokines and growth factors which act as
signals for the body's immune system. Neutrophils and macrophages cells are sent in to disinfect the
wounds, clear the debris, increase the blood supply (a process called angiogenesis), and begin the
creation of fresh, new cellular and extracellular materials (the granulation process).
In this stage, the fibroblasts (cells that make up much of the dermis and create the extracellular
matrix) keratinocytes and epidermal cells continue to divide to populate the areas of damage and
secrete growth factors and extracellular matrix, such as elastin and collagen.
At this stage, the wound has been replaced with new dermal tissues and the newly formed
vasculature is now matured. The collagen in the newly formed tissue is now replaced with the
stronger collagen and the tissue contracts to cause a "shrink-wrap" effect of the skin.

1) Plug in DC adaptor to the jack.
2) Plug in DC adaptor to AC outlet

1)Take out needle cartridge in the sterilized packing
2) Fitting the needle into machine slot, push needle cartridge horizontally up to the end.
3) Lock the cartridge by turning it to the counter clockwise.
4) Adjustment of needle length should be done after turn on the machine
5) If you want to remove the needle cartridge, turn it to the clockwise and push out
horizontally

It will start working by keeping press on/off button for about 3 seconds.

It starts from the lowest speed to the highest. when you turn on the power firstly,
It will show speed level 1 on screen, then press on/off button again, it will turn to speed
level 2, press again, turn speed level 3 until speed level 6.

You can adjust the length of needle by turning the adjustment ring clockwise or counter
clockwise. Turning it clockwise, length of it will be longer. Turning it counter clockwise, length of it
will be shorter.

Connect Battery part and battery charging part as below picture shows
Plug in DC adaptor to the battery charging part and it will charge automatically.
The Charging time is about 2 hours or until the light turns from red to green, indicating that the
battery has been fully charged.

1. Clean skin by removing all make up, moisturizer, self-tanner, sunscreen cream etc.
with soap and water or alcohol pad.
2. Exfoliate the skin using versatile cleanser combining with non-crystal microdermabrasion
system or skin scrubber such as Diamond 17 or our skin scrubber. (Optional but recommended)
3. Apply numbing cream to treatment area and leave for 15 ～ 30 minutes
4. Remove numbing cream thoroughly
5. Apply antiseptic wipe to treatment area
6. Apply active product to treatment area
7. Select the corresponding speed and needle depth
8. Begin treatment
9. To maximize results, it is recommended to follow a facial mask, leave mask on for 10-30mins,
then remove and discard.
10. Finish by applying vitamin repair solution. Smooth 3-5 pumps over the treatment area and
gently massage in. If conducting treatment at a time when you will be exposed to sun and
elements (morning or daytime) use of SPF Cover and Recover is recommended.
NOTE
1. Always make sure your iBeautypen® 2 has a full charge before starting treatment if you want to
use battery part instead of adaptor .
2. Always make sure the needle depth is set to “0” before inserting a new tip.

Treat using the “striping” technique and follow the direction bottom to top.
Start at the bottom of the movement and treat with upwards strokes.
Making constant contact, start medially and work laterally from inside towards the outer face.
Pick up the tip from the face at the end of the outer face and then repeat starting from the inside to
the out face. This creates a “striping” movement which follows protocol.

After the procedure, the skin will be red and flushed in appearance in a similar way to moderate sunburn.
You may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on the area being treated. This will
diminish greatly after a few hours following treatments and within the next 24 hours the skin will be
completely healed. After 3 days most visible erythema will be absolved.

iBeautypen® 2 does not need a special maintenance, however it is advised to follow the below tips
Always dispose of single-use needle tip in proper sharps container immediately after each treatment.
DO NOT keep or store disposable tips for later use.
Using a clean gauze or paper towel, wipe down the entire surface area with Isopropyl Alcohol before
and after treatment. Use Alcohol soaked cotton swab to clean in tight spaces.
Always wipe with alcohol before returning iBeautypen® 2 to storage case.
