Care & Operation of your New
Intrinsically Safe Task Light
OPERATION & MAINTENANCE
1. Read the operator’s manual entirely before using the I.S. 300
light.
2. Charge battery as described below
3. After installing fully charged battery in light, you will have 6
hours of continuous use.
4. Battery has an Led Indicator light that will start blinking when
there is approximately 30 minutes until light shuts off. Blinking
feature will slow as the battery reaches shut off point.
5. Light will not come back on until charged. The charge will reset
the circuitry.
6. To adjust light from task light to spot light, push lens in for wide
angle task light or pull lens out for beam spotlight.
7. To Pivot head, loosen clamping knob just enough to pivot
head where desired, then tighten knob.
8. Switch has a momentary mode with an ON mode. This means
you can press the switch lightly for a quick momentary ON or
press the switch until you hear a click to lock in ON position.
9. Long term storage: Fully charge the battery and disconnect it
from the light. Store battery and light separated in a cool dry area.
Make sure to recharge battery every three months if not in use.
10. Caution: If the light is being used in a remote darkened area and
the fuel gauge indicator light begins blinking, we recommend
exiting the darkened area to replace spent battery with a fully
charged battery.
11. Clean the Lens with a damp cloth with mild detergent or
waterless hand cleaners. Take caution not to scratch lens in order
to provide the best light output at all times.
CAUTION
•
DO NOT SHINE LIGHT DIRECTLY INTO EYES.
•
Inspect regularly for damage and repair or replace if necessary.
•
If battery pack is cracked or damaged - do not use - replace
battery pack immediately.
•
Do not submerge in liquids.
•
Do not use charger in Hazardous Atmosphere.
•
Battery pac may be replaced in hazardous atmosphere.
•
Use only Saf-T-Lite replacement battery pack (5000-1344)
•
Use only Saf-T-Lite charger model number (5000-1345)
•
Do not operate light in temperatures exceeding +40C or below
-20C.
•
Dispose of spent battery packs in accordance with local and
Federal laws.

BATTERY CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
1. DO NOT CHARGE IN HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE
2. Plug the AC adaptor into 120 VAC power outlet.
3. Be sure that the selection switch in the top left corner of
charger is set to 1.8A.
4. Plug charger DC jack into top of battery DC jack.
5. LED indicator light on charger will turn Red during charging.
6. Indicator light on charger will turn green when fully charged.
7. When charged, disconnect from AC power outlet.
8. CAUTION: Extensive overcharging will affect the normal per-
formance and service life of the battery.

This Worklight was thoroughly tested and inspected and found to be in
perfect working order before leaving our factory. If within 1 year from date
of purchase, any part of this unit proves to be defective in material or
workmanship, such defective part will be repaired or replaced (company
option) free of charge. The company’s liability in all events is limited to the
purchase price paid.
The warranty does not apply to the battery, nor does it apply to damage,
alteration, misuse or abuse not attributed to the manufacturer, representa-
tives, dealers or their employees. This warranty does not apply if the
product is mishandled or operated with a battery pack other than one sup-
plied by the manufacturer. This warranty pertains to any Worklight that
may be termed by manufacturers, as a service unit.
Illustrations and descriptions are for the sole purpose of identification and
do not express or imply a warranty that the products will necessarily con-
form to the illustrations or descriptions.
When returning product for warranty repair, please provide: from
whom purchased, date of purchase and attach receipt or give invoice
number.
