Genie Aladdin Connect Operating instructions

Programming your Aladdin Connect™ with IRIS
home controller systems.

1. Plug in the Door Controller Module (DCM)
to power it up. A Red Light on the DCM
will turn on.

2. Pull the battery tab out of the Door Position
Sensor (DPS).

3. Once battery tab is removed from the DPS, a blue
LED will ash rapidly. This is the DPS searching to
pair with the DCM via Bluetooth.
The DPS will be factory paired with the number one
button on the DCM. To change default button see
instructions for DPS pair/unpair in the online manual.

4.4. A solid blue LED will illuminate on the number
one button of the DCM indicating that it is paired
to the DPS.
• If the button LED turns Red, unplug the DCM and
plug it back in. The blue LED should illuminate.
• If the LED remains RED, contact customer service
at 1-800-599-4995.
Activating and Pairing the DCM & DPS:

5. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until you hear a beep, the LED will change from red to yellow.
A Mobile Wireless controller device is required to
complete the setup i.e. Smart-Phone, Tablet PC,
Laptop PC, etc.
1. On the controlling device, in SETTINGS, search
for Available Wi-Fi Networks for Aladdin. Select
the Aladdin network to connect.

Open an Internet browser on the controlling
device that is connected with the DCM.
2. In the browser address bar type in either:
https://www.aladdindcm.net or
https://192.168.1.1
Once the Page loads, it will bring up the DCM
Network Conguration page. Select Congure to
open the congure Wi-Fi window.
This is where the wireless information will be
entered for the Home Network belonging to the
DCM User.
3. Select the Installation type and change it to:

Pairing the DCM to the Smart Device:

NOTE: This may take a few seconds.

4. Selecting the Wi-Fi Network Name, will bring a list
of all available signals the DCM can read. Select
your Home Network to link it to the DCM so it can
connect to the IRIS Cloud Server.

5. Select the Encryption type of the Wi-Fi signal.
6. The Security key will then need to be entered
in the corresponding box. (This is the security
password for your home network router)
7. Click SAVE. This will save the settings and return
you back to the Genie Congure screen.

8. Select Connect, this will automatically shift
the network connection of the device, to that
which the DCM has been linked to.
9. A green LED will now ash for a few seconds
and turn solid on the DCM, showing the DCM
now has Internet access.

IRIS account.

13. Select “GENIE GARAGE DOOR OPENER”.

14. Enter the ID Number located on the back of
the DCM. It is a 13 Digit Number listed under
S/N: and tap FIND.
15. Once Registered to the DCM the IRIS app will
have access to control the garage door.
