INFRAREDPROTECTIONFUNCTION
1.TheSafe-T-Beam®hasnoeffectonthedoorduringanopeningcycle.
2.If theSafe-T-Beam®detectsanobstructionwhentryingtoclosethe
door,itwill notallowthedoortoclose.
3.Whenthegaragedoorisclosing,ifSafe-T-Beam®isinterruptedby
apersonorobstacle,thegaragedoorwillstopitsdownwardtravel
andreverseautomaticallytoitsfullyopenedposition.
4.If theSafe-T-Beam®Systemfails,losespower,orisinstalled
improperly,pressandholdthewallconsole"open/close"button
untilthedoorreachesitsfullyclosedposition.Ifyoureleasethe
"open/close"buttononthewallconsoleduringtheclosing
movement,thedoorwill reverseautomaticallytoitsfully-opened
position.

Nowthat yourGeniegaragedooropenerisinstalled,youwill wantto
programthe openersothat the dooropensandclosesproperlyand
all remotedevicesoperatecorrectly.Thefollowing stepsguideyou
throughsettingyouropenersoitfunctionsproperlyfor you.
Thefollowinginformationwill takeyouthroughprogrammingyour
opener'sfunctionalsettingsfor use.
Thereareonly2 "required"programmingprocessesyouwill needto
followto set upyourgaragedooropenerfor operation:
1. "TRAVELLIMITS"
2. "REMOTEPROGRAMMING"
TermDefinitions:
TravelLimits programmingallowsyouto set howfar yourdoor
travelsupor downin openingandclosingyourgaragedoor.
RemoteProgramming synchronizesyourremotecontroldevices
(remotes,wall console,and keypad)with thepowerhead.
ForceControlrefersto howmuchpowerisneededto move(open/
close)your particulardooranddoesNOTrequireprogramming.
SpeedControlrefersto howfastor slowyouropeneropensand
closesyourparticulardoorandispresetatthefactory.This
functiondoesNOTrequireprogramming.
Thereare4 programs(The2 "FactorySet"programsareunlikelyto
needchanges.)
1. DoorTravelLimitsProgram
- Thisprogramisusedtoset howfaryourdoortravelsup
anddown.
2. RemotePrograms(Defaultmenu)
- Theseshowyou howto programyourremotesto synchwith
additionalremotecontroldevices,wall consoles,keypads,and
the powerhead.
3. DoorForceProgram(FactorySet)
- Thisprogramisonlyusedfor minoradjustmentsundercertain
circumstances.
4. DoorSpeedProgram(FactorySet)
- Thisprogramdoesnotrequiremanuallyinitiatedchanges.
NOTE:The3programmingbuttonsare forprogrammingONLY,These
buttonsshouldNOTbe usedto operatetheopeneroncetheRequired
Programmingsectionhasbeensuccessfullycompleted.
