MOUNTING IP20 RIBBONRAYZ®
1. Clean the mountain surface free of dust and debris using
a wet cloth. For metal mounting surfaces use rubbing
alcohol (A) to wipe clean.
2. Remove the adhesive backing on the back of the RibbonRayz (D).
3. Every 12 inches place a silicone pad (B) over the
RibbonRayz (D) and use a pencil to mark where each
pilot hole will be drilled. DO NOT place the pad above
an LED. Place it as close to 12 inches as possible, while
not touching any LEDs.

4. Drill pilot holes at the center of each mark you made.
6. Your RibbonRayz installation is complete.
5. Tighten the screws (C) through the silicone
pads (B) until all of the pads are secure and the
RibbonRayz (D) is held tightly in place.

FIELD CUTTING AND SOLDERING
3. Heat up the soldering iron till the temperature reaches 500-
550° F. Pre-tin the copper pads by placing the soldering iron
point onto one of the copper pads at the end of the
RibbonRayz, and then apply solder to the copper pad. The
max solder time per pad is 10 seconds. Repeat the same steps
and apply solder on the other copper pad.
1. Decide the length of the RibbonRayz you need and
nd the closest cut point. Use masking tape and gently
tape down the RibbonRayz near the cut point to prevent
movements during soldering.

4. Strip small amount off end of the 2 core wire
6. Place the tip of one wire on top of the pre-tinned
copper pad and then place the soldering iron point
on top to attach the wire onto the copper pad. The
max solder time per pad is 10 seconds. Repeat
the same steps for the other wire and copper pad to
complete the installation.
5. Pre-tin the wires by placing the soldering iron
point onto the tip of one wire and applying solder
on it. Repeat the same steps for the other wire.
