1. Introduction
Thank yo for choosing a Gfp laminator. It has been designed and man fact red to
provide years of contin o s service. Please read this man al thoro ghly before
operating. Please inspect the box and the laminator for shipping damage. Damage
sho ld be bro ght to the attention of the delivering carrier immediately. For a list of
shipping components see “Packing List” on page 9.
2. Important afety Instructions
In this operating man al yo will find important safety messages regarding the
prod ct.
Read these instr ctions caref lly, fail re to comply with the following safety
proced res co ld res lt in serio s inj ry.
WAR$I$G Do not attempt to service or repair the laminator. Only
a thorized maintenance and service technicians sho ld make repairs.
WAR$I$G Do not connect the laminator to an electrical s pply or attempt
to operate the laminator ntil yo have completely read these instr ctions.
Maintain these instr ctions in a convenient location for f t re reference.

Installation afeguards
• Shipping damage sho ld be bro ght to the immediate attention of the
delivering carrier
• Avoid locating the laminator near so rces of heat or cold. Avoid locating the
laminator in the direct path of forced, heated or cooled air
• The receptacle m st be located near the eq ipment and easily accessible.
• Connect the attachment pl g provided with the laminator to a s itably
gro nded o tlet only. This machine m st have reliable earth wire to ens re
the safety of the machine d ring operations
• Contact an electrician sho ld the attachment pl g provided with the laminator
not match the receptacles at yo r location
• Ens re that the voltages of the power s pply yo are sing match the
rated working voltages before operations. Do not se incorrect power s pply
• Do not se damaged wires or sockets. If abnormal conditions occ r,
switch off the power s pply first.
• Only a licensed electrician sho ld install wiring and o tlet for the
laminator
• Do not defeat or remove electrical and mechanical safety eq ipment s ch as
interlocks, shields and g ards

4. General afeguards
• Keep hands, long hair, loose clothing, and articles s ch as neckties away from
rollers to avoid entanglement and entrapment. The rollers have pinch points
that can trap body parts or clothing and ca se serio s inj ry
• Do not se the machines for p rposes other than lamination and mo nting,
otherwise damages to the machine or accidents may occ r
• Keep o t of reach of children
• Keep flammable and wet objects away from the machine.
• Do not se flammable sprays or materials when cleaning the machine
• Do not leave the machine nattended d ring operations.
• Do not mo nt metal materials or other hard objects.
• Do not p t b rrs, sharp blade or rigid materials in between the two r bber
rollers.
• Do not attempt to laminate items that exceed total recommended material
thickness of the nit.
• Do not place foreign object inside the machine.
• Do not c t adhesive films directly on the s rface of the rollers to avoid
damaging the r bber coating.
• Sh t down the machine after laminating to avoid mis sing this machine by
others.
• Sh t down the power before moving the machine
• Note the locations of foot wheels while moving or operating this machine to
avoid inj ries to yo r feet.
• Disconnect from the power s pply before repair or maintenance.
• Disconnect from the power s pply when the machine is not in se for
a long time.
• When the machine lies idle for a long period of time, raise the top r bber
roller to avoid the distortion of the r bber s rface.
• Perform only the ro tine maintenance proced res referred to in these
instr ctions

5. Operating Conditions
• Place machine on level s rface
• Environment req irements:
Ambient temperat re: 50⁰ F - 104⁰ F
H midity:30%—80%;ideal h midity:55%
• D e to the static on film rolls, yo sho ld try to keep the environment clean.
• Provide eno gh space aro nd machine to ens re the safe and effective operation.
The minim m area covered is 8 ft. x 10 ft.
• Do not directly c t the films on the s rfaces of the r bber rollers to avoid
damages to the rollers.
• Do not p t b rrs, sharp knives or extra thick and hard materials in between the
rollers. Do not leave objects like tools, r lers, knives, etc on the working panels
or the side cabinets to avoid their being rolled into the machine accidentally and
damaging the rollers.
• For repairs and replacements, please contact yo r local distrib tor. Una thorized
repairs and dismantling will affect f t re maintenances of the machines.
• The machine can laminate contin o sly objects less than ½” thick.
For objects over ½” b t less than 1” thick, se the pedal switch.
Warning: Do not keep the machines in direct sunshine or near it.
Do not keep the machine in dusty place or places with strong vibrations.

Remove all parts from shipping create and boxes. Inspect parts and the machine

9. Installation
A. Uncrate the machine
1. Remove screws holding the top cover to the crate sides
2. Lift crate top off
3. Stand side frames are bolted to the crate sides

9. B. Remove machine from skid
1. Remove screws and end caps aro nd base of crate sides
2. Lift crate sides off the crate base
3. Remove s pply shafts and stand cross members from the crate base by
loosening the screws and hold down straps

9. C. Assemble machine stand
1. Bolt cross members to stand side frames sing (12)- 8mm x 80 Hex screws
2. Each screw takes a flat washer and lock washer – Flat washer against the
stand.
3. Start all screws by hand before tightening
4. Lay cloth tray across two bottom cross members
5. Attach tray to cross members sing 7- Velcro straps

1. Remove machine from the crate base
2. Lift machine onto s pport stand
(Note bottom stand extension is to the front of the machine)
Heavy! Handle with care!!
Warning: when moving the machine, lift by using the hand lift openings on the front and rear
panels.. Do not use roller gap adjustment hand wheel for lifting!

9 E. Bolt Machine to tand
1. Sec re machine to stand from nder the stand sing (2) 8mm x 50 Hex
screws and (2) flat and lock washers
9 F. Attach bottom supply brackets and insert supply shaft
1. Attach Bottom s pply brackets to o tside of each side frame sing
(4) -8mm x 20 Hex screws, flat and locking washers
2. Slide brakes on ro nd s pply shaft
3. Insert s pply shaft onto bottom s pply brackets

10. Install upper rewind housings
1. Remove left and right pper rewind ho sing from accessory box
2. Bolt right pper rewind ho sing with tension adj stment knobs to
inside the right side frame of machine sing (3) Hex 5mm x 12 screws
and lock washers ( Star washer sed where paint is removed)
3. Bolt left pper rewind ho sing to inside the left side frame of machine
sing (3) Hex 5mm x 12 screws and lock washers
(Note: Both ho sings angle toward front of the machine)
4. Slide pper s pply/rewind brakes onto two (2) hex rewind shafts
(See section 12 for the direction of the core clips)
5. Insert slotted end of each pper Rewind shaft into the right shaft
ho sing with tension adj stment and drop in place on the left ho sing

11. Additional Installation items

2. Check drive chains for tightness

12. Install Upper shaft brakes
1. When viewed from the rear, the Core Clips on the TOP of each shaft
sho ld point INWARD for liner-in film and OUTWARD for Liner-o t film

13. Loading Bottom upply roll
1. Loosen the fastening screws on the brake assembly on one side of the ro nd
s pply shaft, and slide brake assembly off the s pply shaft.
2. Slide the new roll onto the s pply shaft
3. Ret rn the brake assembly to the s pply shaft
4. Position the s pply roll in the middle of the s pply shaft and meas re the
distance from one side of the roll to the side frame ( Yo ’ll se this
meas rement when loading the top s pply roll in section #14 to align the top
and bottom rolls)
5. Fasten the screws for brake assembly (Note: there sho ld be 1/8” clearance
between the positioning and the adj sting sleeves of the film core adaptor to
make brake adj stment easier),
6. Adj st the brake tension by t rning the adj sting sleeve
(Note: the brake tension sho ld not prevent roll from t rning)

14. Loading Top upply roll
1. Slide the top s pply roll onto the top, rear S pply nwind shaft
a. If sing Liner-in film, the web sho ld come off the bottom of the roll,
for Liner-o t film the web sho ld come off the top of the roll
( see threading diagram in #15)
2. Position the roll in the middle of the s pply shaft. ( Position the same distance
from the roll to the side frame as the bottom roll in section #13 to align the top
and bottom rolls)
3. Adj st the brake tension by t rning the Tension adj stment know
(Note: the brake tension sho ld not prevent roll from t rning)
4. Slide empty cardboard t be onto the top, front Liner rewind shaft
$ote: When viewed from the rear, both the Core Clips on the top of each
shaft should point I$WARD for liner-in film and OUTWARD for Liner-
out film

15. Threading Film
1. T rn the press re-adj sting hand-wheel to lift p the pper r bber roller.
2. Pass the film web nder the idler bar and down in front of the roller
3. Separate 1” of the paper liner from the film web, attach film web to a leader
board the width of the film roll and insert leader board into the rollers
4. Lower the top r bber roller onto the leader board
5. P ll the liner by hand p and attach to a cardboard t be on the liner rewind
shaft as in the diagram below
6. Use foot pedal to advance the film web ntil the leader board enters the roller
7. P ll the bottom media or Kraft paper web p and adhere to the exposed film
web
8. Use foot pedal to advance both webs ntil cleared of the nip rollers
$ote: The film should be wrinkleless and tight to the surface of the roller. If
the film is not tight enough, increase the roller pressure. If wrinkles appear
in the film web, adjust the brake tension on the top film supply roll. If
wrinkles appear in the bottom media or Paper roll, adjust the brake
tension on both sides of the roll.

16. Operation
1. Pl g power cord into a proper receptacle
• Connect the attachment pl g provided with the laminator to a s itably
gro nded o tlet only. This machine m st have reliable earth wire to ens re
the safety of the machine d ring operations
• Contact an electrician sho ld the attachment pl g provided with the laminator
not match the receptacles at yo r location
• Ens re that the voltages of the power s pply yo are sing match the rated
working voltages before operations. Do not se incorrect power s pply
• Do not se damaged wires or sockets. If abnormal conditions occ r, switch
off the power s pply first.
2. T rn power to “ON” with the rear power switch
17. Roller Gap
1. When the press re-adj sting hand-wheel is t rned clockwise, the top r bber
roller comes down and the press re will increase
2. With a co nter-clock t rn, the top r bber roller goes p and the press re will
decrease.
3. Too m ch nip press re will wrinkle the o tp t. Bring the nip roller down to
j st to ch the image, then a slight increase in press re
4. When sing the 255C, bring the rollers down only to to ch the two webs
together.
