Plumbing Installations
Option 1 (Recommended)
TheSolenoidislocatedonthebackoftheGSWH-1,attacheddirectlytothewaterheater.Withthis
optiontheSolenoidisprovidedwithaT-Fittingattached.
1. AttachonesideoftheT-FittingdirectlytotheGSWH-1HotWaterOutlet.
2. PlumbtheothersideoftheT-FittingtotheHotWaterSystem.
3. PlumbtheOUTLETsideoftheSolenoidtotheFreshWaterTank
4. Checkforleaks
Option 2
TheSolenoidislocatedsomewherebetweenthewaterheaterandthefreshwatertank.

shouldserviceberequired.Girardwillnotberesponsibleforlaborchargestolocateand
makeaccessible.
1.Selectasuitablelocation(Figure5.)toinstalltheSolenoidValve,closetotheFresh Water Tank
andto12Vpowerwires.
2.LocatetheHOT water line closest to this location.
3.InsertaTeeinthelineandconnectahotwaterlineextensiontotheselectedlocation.
4.InsertaTeetothefreshwater tank and connect the “OUT”portoftheSolenoidValvetotheside
port.
5.Connectthehotwaterlineextensiontothe“IN”portoftheSolenoidValve.
6. Check for leaks
Note:Incertainaftermarketinstallationsaccesstothefreshwatertankmaynotbepossible.Thesolenoidoutwaterlinecan
beconnectedtoadrainorroutedtothegroundbutbeawarethatapatchoficemayformundertheRVwhichmaycausea
hazardous condition.
