Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a Glazing Vision standard kerb (Figure 1) . We hope that it gives you
many years of service. The kerb is supplied flat pack in four main sections for assembly on
site, to be fixed together prior to roof fitting covered by this manual. Should you have any
queries beyond this manual please do not hesitate to contact us.

The kerb is
screwed together
using supplied
65mm
woodscrews
before being
fixed to the
roof.( Figure 3 )

Fixing brackets:
Fix all brackets to
kerb first, (do not
fix to roof at this
point) This allows
for final positioning
(see below) to roof
opening before
fixing. ( Figure 4)
Positioning and
fixing to roof:
Before fixing to roof
please ensure that
kerb frame is
absolutely square
to allow fitting of
rooflight.
Failing to provide a
square kerb may
result in the
rooflight being
unable to fit.

Once position and
angles are fully set,
kerb can now be
fixed to roof.

Weatherproofing:
General Maintenance & Safety
To keep the kerb in good condition make sure the kerb is fully weatherproofed on outer faces.
COSHH and Safe Disposal
There are no hazardous materials used in the construction of the kerb. Wherever possible
when disposing of the kerb recycle as much as possible. Do not burn any plastic materials.
The following materials are used throughout the kerb:
Framework
Wood: Pine
Plywood
Steel Fixings
PIR Insulation
Adhesive Foil tape
Product Warranty
A warranty document will be provided with the kerb. If this is misplaced it can be found at
www.glazingvision.co.uk/resources/warranties/
Once fully set
up and fixed,
the kerb should
now be weather
proofed.
Weatherproofing
must not exceed
10mm
thickness. This
is to allow space
for fitting the
rooflight over
the kerb.
