Welcome to Glide Free Foils
Congratulations on your purchase of your new set of Glide Free Foils for your Laser.
You are now entering a new world of sailing at high speed on your very own Laser. As this may
be the first time that you experience true high speed sailing, please take care of yourself and
others when rigging, launching and sailing. Make sure that you read all of the set up maintenance
and sailing instructions before attempting to foil your Laser.
We wish you many happy hours of fun foiling!!.
Inspection
Check that everything is in the package when delivered and first opened, referring to the parts list
attached. Let us know if any parts did not arrive.
Set up
Please find below a short description of how to set up your foils. Refer to the following documents
which are attached with your set of foils, and also available on our website www.glidefree.com.au

Quick Start Instructions:
A brief description for experienced skippers. Always refer to the full Instruction Manual GF404:
1) Insert the centrecase insert and attach the gear block with the toggle pin from starboard side.
2) Add packers under the gear block to suit, screw and glue them in place. (initial setup only)
3) Clip on the rudder assembly. *Always attach the thrust washer with retaining clip.
4) Tip the boat over in the water and insert the centreboard from underneath, top angled forward.
5) *Always attach the centreboard safety clip through the keyhole before leaving the beach.
6) Lower and tightly secure the rudder down with the locking pin when leaving the beach.
7) Push the centreboard board fully down and pull back to engage, then wrap the cord tightly
back around the pin.

boat, yourself or others when in use. We take no responsibility for foils lost when the fall out of the
boat, as they don’t float.
Warranty
We warrant our product for 12 months against defects and workmanship of all components. The
warranty is limited to parts replacement only.
