3. Choose Your Training Type(s)
BarkWise™oers a combination of sound, vibration,
and remote control training. This is where you’ll choose
the options for your dog’s unique needs.
Many people like to start with an “UP-UP-DOWN”
conguration, as highlighted in the diagram in the
upper right corner of the page.
If you want to start with remote-only training, set
your switches to: DOWN-DOWN-DOWN.
NOTE: If you need help deciding, just give us a call or
send us a message. All contact info is at the end of this
guide.

The bark sensitivity slider adjusts the unit’s sensitivity to your dog’s bark. Start by
setting the bark sensitivity slider to low. We recommend setting the slider above
the Rin “BARK”. If the sensor is too high, the collar might activate too often which
can stress the dog and hinder training.
NOTE: Only raise the sensitivity level if the unit isn’t responding to your dog’s barking.
Be sure to give your dog time to acclimate to the collar. We recommend waiting 2–3
weeks before adjusting the settings.

2. Set the Bark Sensor
1. Charge it Up
Before getting started, charge your BarkWise™for at least
2 hours. The blue LED will light up and remain on while
charging. Battery life lasts 12–24 hours depending on use.
Charge nightly for best results. This will also give your dog a
break from daily training.

6. Tips for Best Results
- Be sure that the collar is activating when your dog barks, but not more often. Consistency is key to proper training.
- Once you have found the best settings for your dog, allow 2–3 weeks for optimal training (some bad habits take more time to
correct than others).
-Use the included Remote Control to activate BarkWise™ manually, if preferred. The remote control can manually activate the
BarkWise™ from up to 75 feet (22m) away. This is handy when training your dog to stop other unwanted behaviors such as
jumping or digging.
Remember: If you have any questions along the way, please ask!
5. Place it on Your Dog
- Remove any other collars or noisy tags.
- When tting any collar, leave two ngers’ width between
the nylon strap and your dog’s neck. It does not need to be
overly tight.
-If the collar is too long, cut the nylon strap to the proper
length, and carefully seal the cut end with a ame as
needed.
-Check the collar periodically to ensure a proper t.
4. Power it Up
Press and hold the power button for about 8 seconds to turn it
on. You’ll see a blue light ash and hear 3 beeps.
To turn the unit o, simply press and hold the power button
down again until you see a red light and hear 1 beep.
While using BarkWise™, the blue light will ash when the collar
activates. The red light will ash when the unit needs charging.
