Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
• Das Gerät darf nur zum Erhitzen von Wasser verwendet werden, nicht zum Erhitzen
von Milch oder anderen Flüssigkeiten. Das Gerät nicht verwenden, um darin Tee
oder Kaffee zuzubereiten.
• Das Gerät ist für den Privatgebrauch, nicht für eine gewerbliche Nutzung bestimmt.
• Das Gerät nur wie in der Anleitung beschrieben nutzen. Jede weitere Verwendung
gilt als bestimmungswidrig.
• Von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind alle Mängel, die durch unsachgemäße
Behandlung, Beschädigung oder Reparaturversuche entstehen. Dies gilt auch für den
normalen Verschleiß.

Sicherheitshinweise
■Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Perso-
nen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen
Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder Wissen be-
nutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des siche-
ren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus
resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.
■Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
■Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder
durchgeführt werden, es sei denn, sie sind 8 Jahre oder älter
und werden beaufsichtigt.
■Kinder jünger als 8 Jahre sind vom Gerät und dem Netzkabel
fernzuhalten.
■Vorsicht: heiße Oberflächen! Das heiße Gerät nur
am Griff anfassen. Während des Betriebs oder kurz
danach Kontakt mit der Oberfläche des Gerätes
vermeiden. Diese wird sehr heiß!
■Das Gerät ist bei nicht vorhandener Aufsicht und vor dem Reini-
gen stets vom Netz zu trennen.
■Den Wasserkocher nur mit der mitgelieferten Basisstation ver-
wenden. Die Basisstation nicht mit anderen Geräten benutzen.
■Nie über die maximale Füllmenge hinausgehen (MAX-
Markierung auf der Wasserstandsanzeige beachten!). Ist der
Wasserkocher überfüllt, könnte kochendes Wasser aus der
Ausgusstülle austreten.
■Keine Veränderungen am Gerät vornehmen. Das Netzkabel darf
nicht selbst ausgetauscht werden. Wenn das Gerät, das Netzka-
bel oder der Netzstecker des Gerätes beschädigt ist, muss es
durch den Hersteller, Kundenservice oder eine ähnlich qualifi-
zierte Person (z.B. Fachwerkstatt) ersetzt werden, um Gefähr-
dungen zu vermeiden.

Risiko von Verletzungen
■Warnung vor Ersticken! Kinder und Tiere vom Verpackungsmaterial fernhalten.
■Vorsicht vor Verbrühungen durch Hitze, heißen Dampf oder Kondenswasser!
Kontakt mit dem aufsteigenden Dampf aus der Ausgusstülle vermeiden. Den Deckel
nicht während des Kochvorgangs öffnen. Das Gerät vor erneutem Befüllen abküh-
len lassen!
■Vorsicht vor Verbrühungen durch Hitze, heißen Dampf oder Kondenswasser!
Kochendes Wasser langsam und vorsichtig ausgießen, ohne dass das Gerät zu schnell
gekippt wird.
■Das Gerät nicht während des Kochvorgangs bewegen.
■Vorsicht vor Stürzen! Darauf achten, dass das angeschlossene Netzkabel keine
Stolpergefahr darstellt. Das Netzkabel darf nicht von der Aufstellfläche herabhän-
gen, um ein Herunterreißen des Gerätes zu verhindern.
Gefahr von Stromschlag durch Wasser!
■Das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räumen verwenden.
■Den Wasserkocher, die Basisstation, das Netzkabel und den Netzstecker niemals
in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten eintauchen und sicherstellen, dass diese nicht
ins Wasser fallen oder nass werden können.
■Sollte die Basisstation ins Wasser fallen, sofort die Stromzufuhr unterbrechen. Nicht
versuchen, diese aus dem Wasser zu ziehen, während sie am Stromnetz ange-
schlossen ist!
■Das Gerät, das Netzkabel und den Netzstecker niemals mit feuchten Händen berüh-
ren, wenn diese Komponenten an das Stromnetz angeschlossen sind.
■Den Wasserkocher zum Befüllen, Ausgießen oder Reinigen von der Basisstation
nehmen. Darauf achten, dass kein Wasser in die Kontakte auf der Unterseite des
Wasserkochers eindringt.
Warnung vor Stromschlag durch Schäden und unsachgemäße
Benutzung!
■Das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose mit Schutzkontakten,
die mit den Technischen Daten des Gerätes übereinstimmt, anschließen. Die Steck-
dose muss auch nach dem Anschließen gut zugänglich sein, damit die Netzverbin-
dung schnell getrennt werden kann.
■Das Gerät nicht in Verbindung mit Verlängerungskabeln nutzen.
■Das Netzkabel so verlegen, dass es nicht gequetscht oder geknickt wird und nicht
mit heißen Flächen in Berührung kommt.
Warnung vor Brand!
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen verwenden, in denen sich leichtentzündlicher Staub
oder giftige sowie explosive Dämpfe befinden.
■Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von brennbarem Material betreiben. Keine brennbaren
Materialien (z. B. Pappe, Papier, Kunststoff) auf das Gerät legen.
■Das Gerät während des Betriebes nicht abdecken.

■Das Gerät nicht zusammen mit anderen Verbrauchern (mit hoher Wattleistung) an
eine Mehrfachsteckdose anschließen, um eine Überlastung und ggf. einen Kurz-
schluss (Brand) zu vermeiden.
■Im Brandfall: Nicht mit Wasser löschen! Flammen mit einer feuerfesten Decke oder
einem geeigneten Feuerlöscher ersticken.
Risiko von Material- und Sachschäden
■Das Gerät immer mit einem Freiraum zu allen Seiten (mind. 20 cm) und Freiraum
nach oben (mind. 30 cm) auf einen trockenen, ebenen, festen und hitzeunempfind-
lichen Untergrund stellen.
■Das Gerät ausschalten und den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, wenn wäh-
rend des Betriebes ein Fehler auftritt oder vor einem Gewitter.
■Beim Herausziehen aus der Steckdose immer am Netzstecker und nie am Netz-
kabel ziehen! Die Basisstation nicht am Netzkabel ziehen oder tragen.
■Das Gerät vor anderen Wärmequellen, offenem Feuer, Minustemperaturen, lang
anhaltender Feuchtigkeit, Nässe und Stößen schützen.
■Nur Original-Zubehörteile des Herstellers verwenden.
■Keine schweren Gegenstände auf das Gerät legen oder stellen.
Lieferumfang und Geräteübersicht
Den Lieferumfang auspacken und auf Vollständigkeit und Transportschäden überprüfen.
Falls der Wasserkocher, die Basisstation, der Netzstecker oder das Netzkabel
Schäden aufweisen sollten, das Gerät nicht(!) verwenden, sondern den Kundenservice
kontaktieren.

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
ACHTUNG!
■Das Gerät kann mit möglichen Produktionsrückständen behaftet sein. Um gesund-
heitliche Beeinträchtigungen zu vermeiden, das Gerät vor dem ersten Gebrauch rei-
nigen (siehe „Reinigung und Pflege“).
1. Vor der Benutzung des Gerätes sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial sowie eventuell
vorhandene Etiketten, die sich am Gerät befinden und zum Transportschutz bzw.
zur Werbung dienen, entfernen.
2. Den Wasserkocher mit einem sauberen, feuchten Tuch abwischen. Den Wasserko-
cher mit etwas mildem Spülmittel und klarem Wasser ausspülen. Achtung! In die
Kontakte auf der Unterseite des Wasserkochers darf kein Wasser eindringen!
Dies könnte einen Kurzschluss verursachen.
3. Auf der Unterseite der Basisstation (4) das Netzkabel auf die gewünschte Länge auf-
bzw. abwickeln. Das Netzkabel dann in den dafür vorgesehenen Schlitz am Rand
der Basisstation (4) legen.
4. Die Basisstation auf eine trockene und hitzebeständige, ebene Fläche in ausreichen-
dem Abstand zu brennbaren Gegenständen aufstellen.
5. Den Netzstecker in eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose stecken.
6. Den Wasserkocher bis zur MAX-Markierung mit Trinkwasser füllen und es aufko-
chen lassen (siehe „Benutzung“). Dieses Wasser wegschütten und den Vorgang
zwei Mal wiederholen.
Nun ist der Wasserkocher betriebsbereit!

Benutzung
ACHTUNG!
■Das Gerät nicht ohne Wasser oder mit weniger Wasser als bis zur MIN-Markierung
betreiben. Sollte dies doch vorkommen, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch ab. In
diesem Fall das Gerät abkühlen lassen, bevor kaltes Wasser eingefüllt und das Gerät
erneut verwendet wird.
1. Falls nicht bereits geschehen, die Basisstation (4) auf einen trockenen, ebenen,
festen und hitzebeständigen Untergrund stellen und den Netzstecker in eine ord-
nungsgemäß installierte Steckdose stecken.
2. Den Wasserkocher von der Basisstation (4) nehmen. Die Taste zum Öffnen des De-
ckels (1) drücken und Deckel (9) öffnen. Trinkwasser in den Wasserkessel (6) füllen.
Achtung! Die Wassermenge muss zwischen der MIN-und MAX-Markierung liegen.
3. Den Deckel (9) schließen und den Wasserkocher auf die Basisstation (4) stellen.
4. Eine der folgenden Funktionen auswählen:
A Wasser kochen:
– Die START-Taste drücken. Das Gerät schaltet sich ein und heizt das Wasser auf
100°C auf. Die Taste 100 °C blinkt auf.
BWasser erwärmen:
– Soll das Wasser nicht kochen, sondern nur auf eine bestimmte Temperatur erwärmt
werden, die Taste für die gewünschte Temperatur drücken und die START-Taste
drücken. Die entsprechende Temperatur-Taste blinkt auf. Das Gerät schaltet sich
ein und heizt das Wasser auf die eingestellte Temperatur auf.
B Wasser kochen / erwärmen und warm halten:
– Die Taste für die gewünschte Temperatur, die Warmhalten-Taste und anschließend
die START-Taste drücken. Das Gerät schaltet sich ein und heizt das Wasser auf
die gewünschte Temperatur auf. Die entsprechende Temperatur-Taste blinkt auf.
Das Gerät schaltet sich ein und heizt das Wasser auf die eingestellte Temperatur
auf. Anschließend wird die Heizfunktion ausgeschaltet, das Gerät hält das Wasser
jedoch 40 Minuten lang warm: Das Wasser wird dabei immer wieder neu aufgeheizt,
sobald es abgekühlt ist. Solange die Warmhaltefunktion aktiviert ist, leuchtet die
Taste Warmhalten.
Der Kochvorgang kann jederzeit abgebrochen werden, indem die START-Taste
gedrückt wird.
5. Den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen und den Wasserkocher von der Basissta-
tion (4) nehmen, um das Wasser vorsichtig in ein entsprechendes Gefäß zu gießen.
Den Deckel (9) während des Ausgießens geschlossen halten!
Der Wasserkocher kann bei Nichtgebrauch auf der Basisstation (4) aufbewahrt werden.
Der Netzstecker muss jedoch aus der Steckdose gezogen werden.

Reinigung und Pflege
ACHTUNG!
■Vorsicht vor Verbrennungen! Das Gerät vor der Reinigung vollständig abkühlen
lassen.
■Stromschlaggefahr durch Wasser! Vor jeder Reinigung der Basisstation den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
■Zum Reinigen keine giftigen, ätzenden oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel und
Scheuerschwämme verwenden. Diese können die Oberfläche beschädigen.
• Den Wasserkocher von außen (und bei Bedarf auch die Basisstation (4)) mit einem
sauberen, feuchten Tuch abwischen. Danach trocken nachwischen.
• Das Gerät arbeitsbereit halten. Kalkablagerungen vom Wasser entsprechend der
Wasserqualität in der Gegend und der Häufigkeit der Verwendung regelmäßig mit
einem Entkalkungsmittel entfernen. Zur Entkalkung des Wasserkochers die Anlei-
tung des Entkalkungsmittels befolgen.
Fehlerbehebung
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, überprüfen, ob ein Problem selbst
behoben werden kann.
Nicht versuchen, ein defektes elektrisches Gerät eigenständig zu reparieren!
Problem Mögliche Ursache / Lösung
Das Gerät lässt sich
nicht einschalten.
• Wurde die START-Taste gedrückt?
• Steckt der Netzstecker richtig in der Steckdose?
• Ist die Steckdose defekt? Eine andere Steckdose auspro-
bieren.
• Die Sicherung des Netzanschlusses überprüfen.
• Ist das Gerät überhitzt? Warten, bis es sich abgekühlt hat,
Wasser einfüllen und es erneut versuchen.
Das Gerät schaltet
ab, bevor das
Wasser kocht.
• Hat die Wassermenge die MIN-Markierung unterschritten?
• Wurde eine Temperatur zwischen 70 – 95 °C ausgewählt?
100 °C auswählen.
Das Gerät schaltet
nicht ab.
• Ist die Warmhaltefunktion aktiviert? Die START-Taste drü-
cken, um das Gerät auszuschalten.
Während des
Gebrauchs lässt sich
ein unangenehmer
Geruch feststellen.
• Wird das Gerät zum ersten Mal verwendet? Eine Geruchs-
entwicklung tritt bei der ersten Benutzung neuer Geräte
häufig auf. Der Geruch sollte verschwinden, nachdem das
Gerät mehrmals benutzt wurde.
• Wurde der Wasserkocher zuvor entkalkt? Den Wasserko-
cher mit klarem Wasser ausspülen.

Safety Instructions
■This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by
people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and/ or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and
have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply
with the relevant safety precautions.
■Children must not play with the device.
■Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by chil-
dren, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.
■Children younger than 8 years of age must be kept away from
the device and the connecting cable.
■Caution: hot surfaces! Only hold the hot device by the
handle. Avoid contact with the surface of the device
during operation or shortly afterwards. It gets very hot!
■The device must always be disconnected from the mains power
when it is left unattended and before cleaning it.
■Use the kettle only with the base station provided. Do not use
the base station with other devices.
■Never exceed the maximum fill level (note the MAX marking on
the water level indicator!). If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water
could escape from the pouring spout.
■Do not make any modifications to the device. You may not re-
place the mains cable yourself. If the device, the connecting
cable or the mains plug of the device is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or customer service department
or a similarly qualified person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order
to avoid any hazards.
Risk of Injury
■Warning of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging
material.
■Beware of the risk of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation! Avoid
coming into contact with the steam rising up from the pouring spout. Do not open
the lid during the boiling process. Allow the device to cool down before filling it again!
■Beware of the risk of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation! Pour out
boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the device too quickly.
■Do not move the device during the boiling process.

■Beware of falling! Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip
hazard. The mains cable must not hang down from the surface on which the device
is placed in order to prevent the device from being pulled down.
Danger of Electric Shock from Water!
■Use the device only in closed rooms.
■Never immerse the kettle, base station, mains cable or mains plug in water or other
liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
■Should the base station fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do
not attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
■Never touch the device, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when these
components are connected to the mains power.
■Take the kettle off the base station to fill it, pour water or clean it. Make sure that no
water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle.
Warning of Electric Shock from Damage and Inappropriate Use!
■Only connect the device to a plug socket with safety contacts that is properly installed
and matches the “Technical Data” of the device. The plug socket must also be readily
accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be
isolated.
■Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.
■Position the mains cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Warning of Fire!
■Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and
explosive fumes.
■Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. Do not place any
combustible materials (e. g. cardboard, paper or plastic) on the device.
■Do not cover the device during operation.
■Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a
multiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fire).
■In the event of a fire: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the flames with a fireproof
blanket or a suitable fire extinguisher.
Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■Always set up the device with a clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm) and clear
space above it (at least 30 cm) on a dry, flat, solid and heat-resistant surface.

2. Wipe the kettle with a clean, damp cloth. Rinse out the kettle with a little mild de-
tergent and clear water. Attention! No water must get into the contacts on the
bottom of the kettle! This could cause a short circuit.
3. On the bottom of the base station (4), wind up or unwind the mains cable to the length
you require. Then place the mains cable into the slot which is provided for it on the
edge of the base station (4).
4. Place the base station (4) on a dry, heat-resistant, flat surface a sufficient distance
away from flammable objects.
5. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket.
6. Fill the kettle up to the MAX marking with drinking water and allow it to boil (see “Use”
). Pour this water away and repeat the process twice.
The kettle is now ready for operation!
Use
ATTENTION!
■Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach
the MIN marking. If this does happen, the device switches off automatically. In this
case, allow the device to cool down before cold water is poured in and the device is
used again.
1. If you have not already done so, place the base station on a dry, flat, solid and
heat-resistant surface and plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket.
2. Remove the kettle from the base station (4). Press the button for opening the lid (1)
and open the lid (9). Pour drinking water into the kettle (6). Attention! The amount of
water must be between the MIN and MAX marking.
3. Close the lid (9) and place the kettle on the base station (4).
4. Select one of the following functions
A Boil water:
– Press the START button. The device switches on and heats the water up to 100°C.
The 100°C button flashes.
BHeat up water:
– If you do not want the water to boil but merely to be heated to a specific temperature,
press the button for the temperature you want and then press the START button.
The corresponding temperature button flashes. The device switches on and heats
the water up to the set temperature.
B Boil / heat water and keep it hot:
– Press the button for the temperature you want, the Warmhalten (keep hot) button
and then the START button. The device switches on and heats the water up to the
temperature you want. The corresponding temperature button flashes. The device
switches on and heats the water up to the set temperature. The heating function
is then switched off, but the device keeps the water hot for 40 minutes: The water
is repeatedly reheated as soon as it starts to cool down. As long as the keep-hot
function is activated, the Warmhalten (keep hot) button is lit up.
The boiling process can be aborted at any time by pressing the START-button.

5. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and remove the kettle from the base sta-
tion (4) so that you can pour the water carefully into an appropriate vessel. Keep the
lid (9) closed while you pour the water!
The kettle can be stored on the base station (4) when it is not being used. However, the
mains plug must be pulled out of the plug socket.
Cleaning and Care
ATTENTION!
■Beware of burns! Allow the device to cool completely before cleaning it.
■Danger of electric shock from water! Remove the mains plug from the mains sock-
et before cleaning the base station.
■Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to
clean the device. These can damage the surface.
• Wipe down the kettle on the outside (and If necessary the base station (4) too) with a
clean, damp cloth. Then wipe it dry.
• Keep the device ready to operate. You should regularly remove water limescale de-
posits with a descaling agent in accordance with the water quality in your area and
how often the device is used. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling
agent to descale the kettle.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!

ont été instruites quant à l’utilisation de l’appareil en toute sécu-

■Le nettoyage et l’entretien utilisateur ne doivent pas être réali-

■Attention, surfaces chaudes ! Saisissez l’appareil brû-

■L’appareil doit toujours être débranché du secteur lorsqu’il n’est

N’utilisez pas la station de base pour d’autres appareils.
■Ne dépassez jamais la quantité de remplissage maximale
(observez le marquage MAX sur le repère de niveau d’eau).
Si la bouilloire est trop remplie, de l’eau bouillante pourrait
s’échapper du bec.
■Ne procédez à aucune modification sur l’appareil. Ne rempla-
cez pas par vous-même le cordon d’alimentation. Si l’appareil
lui-même, son cordon d’alimentation ou sa fiche sont endom-
magés, c’est au fabricant, au service après-vente ou à toute
personne aux qualifications similaires (par ex. un atelier spécia-
lisé) qu’il revient de le réparer afin d’éviter tout danger.

N’ouvrez pas le couvercle pendant que l’eau chauffe. Avant de remplir à nouveau
l’appareil, laissez-le refroidir !
■Attention aux risques de brûlures dues à la chaleur, la vapeur chaude ou
l’eau de condensation ! Déversez lentement et prudemment l’eau bouillante sans
basculer trop abruptement l’appareil.
■Ne déplacez pas l’appareil pendant que l’eau chauffe.
■Risque de trébucher ! Afin que personne ne risque de trébucher, veillez à ce que
le cordon d’alimentation branché ne gêne pas le passage. Le cordon d’alimentation
ne doit pas pendre de la surface d’appui pour ne pas risquer d’entraîner l’appareil et
de le faire tomber.
Risque d’électrocution au contact de l’eau !
■Utilisez l’appareil uniquement dans des locaux fermés.
■Ne plongez jamais la bouilloire, la station de base, le cordon d’alimentation et la fiche
secteur dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide et assurez-vous qu’ils ne risquent pas de
tomber dans l’eau ou d’être mouillés.
■Si la station de base devait tomber à l’eau, coupez immédiatement l’alimentation
électrique. N’essayez pas de l’extraire l’eau tant qu’elle est encore raccordée au
réseau électrique !
■Ne saisissez jamais l’appareil, le cordon d’alimentation et la fiche secteur à mains
humides lorsque ces composants sont raccordés au réseau électrique.
■Pour remplir, vider ou nettoyer la bouilloire, vous devez la retirer de sa station de
base. Prenez cependant soin à ne pas faire pénétrer d’eau au niveau des contacts
en face inférieure de la bouilloire.
Risque d’électrocution par suite d’un endommagement et d’une
utilisation inadéquate !
■Branchez l’appareil uniquement sur une prise de courant correctement installée et
mise à la terre, et correspondant aux «Caractéristiques techniques» de l’appareil. La
prise doit rester facilement accessible même après le branchement de telle sorte que
l’on puisse rapidement couper l’alimentation de l’appareil.
■N’utilisez pas l’appareil avec une rallonge électrique.
■Faites cheminer le cordon d’alimentation de sorte qu’il ne soit ni pincé, ni coincé, et
qu’il n’entre pas en contact avec des surfaces chaudes.
■Arrêtez l’appareil et retirez la fiche de la prise de courant si un dysfonctionnement
survient en cours d’utilisation ou en cas d’orage.
■Pour débrancher l’appareil, tirez toujours sur la fiche, jamais sur le cordon
d’alimentation !
