EQUIPMENT MISUSE HAZARD
Equipment misuse can cause the equipment to rupture, malfunction, or start unexpectedly and result
in a serious injury.
DThis equipment is for professional use only.
DRead all instruction manuals, tags, and labels before operating the equipment.
DUse the equipment only for its intended purpose. If you are uncertain about usage, call your Graco
distributor.
DDo not alter or modify this equipment. Use only genuine Graco parts and accessories.
DCheck the equipment daily. Repair or replace worn or damaged parts immediately.
DDo not exceed the maximum working pressure of the lowest rated system component. This equip-
ment has a 125 psi (0.9 MPa, 9 bar) maximum working pressure.
DRoute the hoses away from the traffic areas, sharp edges, moving parts, and hot surfaces. Do not
expose Graco hoses to temperatures above 180_F(82_C) or below --40_F(--40_C).
DUse fluids or solvents that are compatible with the equipment wetted parts. See the Technical
Data section of all the equipment manuals. Read the fluid and solvent manufacturer’s warnings.
DWear hearing protection when operating this equipment.
DComply with all applicable local, state and national fire, electrical and other safety regulations.

Spray from the gun, hose leaks, or ruptured components can splash fluid in the eyes or on the skin
and cause serious injury.
DDo not stop or deflect fluid leaks with your hand, body, glove, or rag.
DFollow the Pressure Relief Procedure in your separate equipment manuals whenever you: are
instructed to relieve the pressure; stop spraying; clean, check, or service the equipment; and install
or clean the fluid nozzle.
DTighten all the fluid connections before operating the equipment.
DCheck the hoses, tubes, and couplings daily. Replace worn, damaged, or loose parts immediately.
Permanently coupled hoses cannot be repaired; replace the entire hose.

Installation
Mount the filter-regulator in a convenient location, near
the equipment it is to serve. Mark and drill two 1/4 in.
(6 mm) holes in the wall. The Dimensional Drawing of
the filter-regulator is given on page 6. Fasten the
filter-regulator to the wall with the brackets (2) and 1/4
in. bolts.
A bleed-type master shutoff valve should be installed
in the air line between the filter-regulator and the
source of the air supply.
Operation
Graco wall mounted air filter-regulators are designed to
assure delivery of accurately controlled, clean, dry air
to the spray guns and other air operated equipment.
Two regulated air outlet valves (A) permit the use of
two spray guns at separate pressures. See Fig. 1. Line
pressure air is available through the two outlet valves
(B).
The air pressure can be adjusted at the regulators (1)
from 0--125 psi (0--0.9 MPa, 0--9 bar). The air inlet (C)
to the filter-regulator is 1/2 npt female. See Fig. 2. The
four shut-off valve outlets (A & B) have an individual
1/4 npt male thread.
Regulate the air pressure by turning the handles of the
regulators clockwise for higher pressure, and counter-
clockwise for lower pressure.
CAUTION
Do not exceed 125 psi (0.9 MPa, 9 bar) regulated
pressure. Pressures higher than 125 psi (9 bar)
could damage the gauge (3).

Service
Drain the water and oil daily or when level first appears
in the sight tube (E) by opening the drain cock (F)
(clockwise to open) with the air turned OFF.
Check the filter element (G) regularly. Schedule clean-
ing by the amount of use and the condition of the air
supply and the air supply lines. Replace the filter
element if it is contaminated, or if a pressure drop is
noticed.

Accessory Automatic Drain
WARNING
Make sure the air pressure to the filter-regulator is
off prior to the installation of the automatic drain.
An Accessory Automatic Drain (Part No. 106151) is
available for this assembly.
As water is accumulated in the bottom of the filter
bowl, the float assembly (H) is lifted off its seat, allow-
ing the water to drain from the filter automatically. See
Fig. 3.
Install the automatic drain by unscrewing the lower
filter housing from the upper filter housing, and drain
cock from the lower filter housing.
