flickertheload(lights),and/orbeepasawarningindicatingthattheloadisabouttoturnOFF.Ascrolloptioncanbe
settotemporarilychangethepresetcount-downtimebypressingandholdingdownthestart/stopbuttonformore
than3seconds.

CAUTION: Before installing or performing any service on a Greengate system, the power MUST be turned
OFF at the branch circuit breaker. According to NEC 240-83(d), if the branch circuit breaker is used as the
main switch for a fluorescent lighting circuit, the circuit breaker should be marked “SWD.” All installations
should be in compliance with the National Electric Code and all state and local codes.
NOTE REGARDING COMPACT FLUORESCENT LAMPS: The life of some compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) is
shortened by frequent automatic or manual switching. Check with CFL and ballast manufacturer to determine the
effects of cycling.

Features
CAUTION: Before wiring and servicing, power to this time switch and the equipment in controls must be turned
OFF at the main panel.
WARNING: Unit must be properly grounded to operate correctly.
1. Connectthewiresasshowninthesinglepolewiringdiagram.
2. Captheunusedgroundwire.
3. Mountthetimerinsidetheelectricalboxusingthe2mountingscrewsprovided.
4. Installtheenclosedcoverplate.
5. TurnthepowerONattheelectricalpanel.
6. Whenpoweringupforthefirsttime,allow1minutefortheunittoshowOFFonthescreen.AnLCD“OFF”message
willbedisplayedasadefaultandtheloadwillbeswitchedOFF.

Settings
• Thetamperresistanttime-onintervalcanbepreset.Inaddition,amanualscroll-upmodecanoverridethe
settingtemporarily–thisfeaturecanbedisabled,therebyprovidingafixedintervaltimer.
• Aflickerofthelightsand/orabeepwarningbegins2minutesbeforetime-out(eitherorbothcanbedisabled).
TheTSW-MVisfactorypresettomeetnewerenergycodeoverridemandates.Noadjustmentisrequired.This
settingwillprovideatwohourmaximumoperatingtimebeforeshut-off.Thescrollfeatureisactivetoallowtheuser
tochangetheoperatingtimewiththemaximumtimesettingattwohours.
Closethetimerdoorandtheunitisready.OnepressofthebottomcoverturnstheloadON.TheloadwillstayON
untilacount-downtothepresetOFFtime.PressingthebottomcoveragainwillturnloadOFF.
SET FOR:
1. 4HR:SetONforpreset4hourmaximum
countdownwhen2HRissettoOFF.(Also
usedincustomtimeprogramming.)
2. 2HR:SetONforpreset2hourmaximum
countdownwhen4HRissettoOFF.(Also

3. LIMIT:Usedwithprogrammingsequence.

•10minutestepsfrom1to4hours
•30minutestepsfrom4to12hours
•1hourstepsfrom12to24hours
5. BEEPER:SetONactivatingthefeatureforabeepwarningevery15secondsstarting2minutesbeforeOFF.
6. BLINK:SetONactivatingafeatureforloadflash2minutesbeforeOFF.
1. ToturnloadON,presstheSTART/STOPbuttonmomentarily.
•TheLCDwilldisplaythecountdowntimeintervalselected.Thetimeintervalwillstartcountingdown.
Operation
1. Totesttheunit,settheDIPSwitchtotheminimaltime-outinterval(5minutes).
2. Iftheunitdoesnotfunction:
a.Check thegroundwire.Makesuretheboxhasgoodgroundandisattachedproperly.
b.Checkallotherwiringtomakesureconnectionissecure.
c.Checkifpoweristurnedbackonatthemaincircuitbreakerpanel.
d.Iftheunitstilldoesnotfunction,consultthefactory.
3. IftheloadwillnotturnOFFautomatically:
a.CheckiftheloadgoesON/OFFwhenpressingSTART/STOPbutton.Ifnot,checktheredwireforgood
connection.IfloaddoesgoON/OFF,consultthefactory.
