2. General description
The Grundfos GT-H, GT-C, GT-D, GT-DF and GT-CF
are suitable for stabilising the pressure in domestic
as well as industrial applications.

2.1 Applications
• GT-H is a diaphragm tank for use in cold-water
systems. The horizontal version has a base plate
for mounting of a pump.
• GT-C is a composite tank for a wide range of
applications.
• GT-CF is a composite tank with FlowThru
technology for use in cold-water systems.
• GT-D is a chlorine-resistant double-diaphragm
tank.
• GT-DF is a double-diaphragm tank with FlowThru
technology.

4. Installation
Before installation, check the following:
• Do the specifications of the GT tank correspond
to the order?
• Are all visible parts intact?
• Is the maximum system pressure lower or equal
to the maximum operating pressure for the GT
tank? See tank nameplate.
4.1 Lifting the tank
The top of large tanks has a welded-on flange/nut in
which a lifting eye can be fitted. When the tank is in
place and secured to the floor, the lifting eye can be
removed.
4.2 Location
Always install the GT tank in the discharge pipe as
close to the pump as possible.
Install the GT tank in a frost-free room. It must be
possible to inspect the GT tank from all sides.
The air-filling valve, water shut-off and discharge
must be accessible, and the nameplate must be
visible.
Install the GT tank so that it is not stressed by the
pipework. If vibrations are likely to occur, we
recommend that the GT tank is installed so that
vibrations are absorbed.
We recommend to follow these steps:
1. Lift and position the GT tank.
2. Level as required (horizontally and vertically).
3. Secure the GT tank.
4. Connect the pipes and fittings.
5. Check/adjust the precharge pressure.
6. Start the pump or application.
No additional loads from the piping system or
equipment are allowed.

Precharge Instructions:
1. Turn the power and water supply off, then turn on a tap to drain the tank before
adjusting precharge.
2. For a pressure switch controlled pump with a differential set up to 30 psi (2.0 bar),
the precharge should be set to 2 psi (0.2 bar) below the cut-in pressure.
3.For a pump controlled by a pressure switch with a pressure differential
greater than 30 psi (2.0 bar), electronic controls or variable speed controls,
the tank precharge should be set to 65% of cut-out or max system pressure.
4. For pressure tanks installed on main pressure, the tank precharge should be set
equal to the main pressure.
5. For hot water expansion applications, the tank precharge should be set equal to
the system ¿ll pressure or the main pressure.

Floor installation
Large GT tanks must be secured to the floor by
means of bolts. Use bolts, washers and nuts that are
suitable for the surface of the floor or base frame.
Use all bolt holes in the base frame when securing
the GT tank.
Tanks with steel bases should be mounted using the
brackets supplied, while tanks with plastic bases
should be mounted through the bolt holes in the
base. For bases without bolt holes, drill four holes at
equal distance in the rim of the base.

Wall installation
Small GT tanks up to 33 litres must be secured to a
wall or similar.

4.3 Precharge pressure
The GT tanks are supplied from factory with a
precharge pressure. See tank nameplate.
The precharge pressure must be adjusted according
to the actual application and the installed pump.
It should be slightly below the pump cut-in setting.
Recommended precharge pressures:
• 0.9 x setpoint for fixed-speed pumps
• 0.7 x setpoint for variable-speed pumps.

4.3.1 Adjusting the precharge pressure
If the precharge pressure is not suitable for the
application, adjust it as follows:
1. Switch off the pump. Open the nearest tap to
make sure that no system pressure is affecting
the reading.
2. Remove the protective cap.
3. Check the precharge pressure with a suitable
pressure gauge.
4. Release or add air as required to make the
precharge pressure equal to the recommended
precharge pressure.
5. Fit the protective cap to prevent air from
escaping from the tank.

4.4 System check
The GT tank must be bypassed if the system
pressure exceeds the maximum operating pressure
of the GT tank during a system check.
4.5 Isolating valves
We recommend to install an isolating valve in
connection with the GT tank.

4.6 Maximum operating pressure
The maximum operating pressure of the pump (p2)
plus the actual inlet pressure (p1) must not exceed
the maximum operating pressure of the GT tank (p3).

4.7 Relief valve
Install a relief valve. Set the relief valve to open at or
below the maximum operating pressure of the GT
tank. This will protect the GT tank and other system
components. The relief valve should be installed at
the connection of the GT tank to the pipe system and
have a discharge equal to the pump capacity at
maximum operating pressure.

5. Maintenance
The GT tank is a maintenance-free, but we
recommend to check it for damage two times a year:
• Is corrosion visible?
• Are there are any visible scratches, dents, etc.?
In case of serious damage, contact your nearest
Grundfos company.

7. Fault finding
8. Disposal
This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way:
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest
Grundfos company or service workshop.
Subject to alterations.
Warning
Before starting work on the product, switch off the power supply.
Make sure that the power supply cannot be accidentally switched on.
Make sure that the tank is pressureless before removing it from the pipe system.
Close the isolating valves and release the precharge pressure through the air valve.
Fault Cause Remedy
1. Frequent
starts/stops.
a) Incorrect precharge pressure. Adjust the pressure according to section
4.3 Precharge pressure.
b) Diaphragm broken. Water escapes
if the air valve is pushed down.
Replace the GT tank.
c) Leakage in pipework. Check and repair the pipework.

2.1 Použití
• GT-H je membránová nádrž pro použití

4. Instalace
Před instalací zkontrolujte následující:
• Odpovídají specifikace nádrže GT objednávce?
• Jsou všechny viditelné části neporušené?
• Je maximální tlak v soustavěnižší nebo stejný
jako maximální provozní tlak nádrže GT?
Viz typový štítek nádrže.
4.1 Zdvihání nádrže
Vrchní část dlouhých nádrží má navařenou
přírubu/matici, ve kterých může být uchyceno
zdvihací oko. Když je nádrž na místěa je připevněna
k podlaze, zdvihací oko může být odstraněno.
4.2 Umístění
Nádrž GT instalujte vždy ve výtlačném potrubí co
nejblíže k čerpadlu, jak jen to je možné.
Nádrž GT nainstalujte v nezamrzající místnosti.
Musí být možná kontrola nádrže GT ze všech stran.
Plnicí ventil vzduchu, vodní uzávěr a vypouštění
musí být přístupné a typový štítek musí být viditelný.
Nádrž GT nainstalujte tak, aby nebyla namáhána
potrubím. Jestliže se mohou vyskytnout vibrace,
doporučujeme, aby nádrž GT byla nainstalována tak,
aby byly absorbovány vibrace.
Doporučujeme provést následující kroky:
1. Zvedněte a umístěte nádrž GT.
2. Úroveňpodle potřeby (horizontálněi vertikálně).
3. Zajistěte nádrž GT.
4. Připojte potrubí a fitinky.
5. Zontrolujte/nastavte plnicí tlak.
6. Spusťte čerpadlo nebo aplikaci.
Žádné další zatížení z potrubní soustavy nebo
zařízení nejsou povoleny.

Instalace na podlahu
Velké nádrže GT musí být zajištěny k podlaze
pomocí šroubů. Použijte šrouby, podložky a matice,
které jsou vhodné pro povrch podlahy nebo
základový rám. Použijte všechny otvory v rámu při
zajištění nádrže GT.
Nádrže s ocelovými základnami by měly být
namontovány pomocí dodávaných konzol, zatímco
nádrže s plastovými základnami by měly být
namontovány pomocí otvorův základně. U základny
bez otvorůpro šrouby, vyvrtejte čtyři otvory ve stejné
vzdálenosti na okraji základny.

Malé nádrže GT o objemu do 33 litrů, musí být
připevněny ke stěněnebo podobným způsobem.

4.3 Plnicí tlak
Nádrže GT jsou dodávány z výroby s plnicím tlakem.
Viz typový štítek nádrže. Plnicí tlak musí být
nastaven v závislosti na aktuální aplikaci a instalaci
čerpadla. Plnicí tlak by měl být mírněpod
nastavením zapínacího tlaku čerpadla.
Doporučené plnicí tlaky:
• 0,9 x požadovaná hodnota pro pevné otáčky
čerpadel
• 0,7 x požadovaná hodnota pro proměnné otáčky
čerpadel.

4.3.1 Nastavení plnicího tlaku
Pokud plnicí tlak není vhodný pro aplikace, nastavte
jej následujícím způsobem:
1. Vypněte čerpadlo. Otevřete nejbližší kohoutek,
abyste se přesvědčáili, že žádný tlak ze systému
neovlivňuje odečet.
2. Odstraňte ochranný kryt.
3. Zkontrolujte plnicí tlak vhodným tlakoměrem.
4. Vypusťte nebo přidejte vzduch podle potřeby, aby
se plnicí tlak rovnal doporučenému plnicímu
tlaku.
5. Nasaďte ochranný kryt, aby se zabránilo úniku
vzduchu z nádrže.

4.4 Kontrola soustavy
Nádrž GT je nutno opatřit obtokem, pokud tlak
v soustavěpřekročí maximální provozní tlak v nádrži
GT během kontroly soustavy.
4.5 Uzavírací ventily
Doporučujeme instalovat uzavírací ventil na obou
stranách nádrže GT.

4.6 Maximální provozní tlak
Maximální provozní tlak čerpadla (P2) a aktuální
vstupní tlak (P1), nesmí překročit maximální
provozní tlak v nádrži GT (P3). Viz obr. 8.

4.7 Přepouštěcí ventil
Nainstalujte přepouštěcí ventil. Nastavte přepouštěcí
ventil tak, aby se otevřel při maximálním provozním
tlaku nádrže GT. To ochrání nádrž GT a další
součásti soustavy. Přepouštěcí ventil by měl být
nainstalovaný na přípojce nádrže GT k potrubní
soustavěa měl by mít světlost rovnající se výkonu
čerpadla při maximálním provozním tlaku.

5. Údržba
Nádrž GT je bezúdržbová, ale doporučujeme
zkontrolovat ji na poškození dvakrát do roka:
• Je viditelná koroze?
• Jsou zde vidět škrábance, promáčknutí apod.?
V případěvážného poškození, obraťte se na
nejbližší firmu Grundfos.

7. Poruchy a jejich odstraňování
8. Likvidace výrobku
Tento výrobek nebo jeho části musí být po skončení
doby jeho životnosti ekologicky zlikvidovány:
1. Využijte služeb místní veřejné či soukromé
organizace, zabývající se sběrem a zpracováním
odpadů.
2. Pokud taková organizace ve vaší lokalitě
neexistuje, kontaktujte nejbližší pobočku
Grundfos nebo servisní středisko.
Technické změny vyhrazeny.
Varování
Před započetím práce na výrobku vypněte napájecí napětí.
Ujistěte se, že napájecí napětí nemůže být náhodnězapnuto.
Ujistěte se, že nádrž je bez tlaku před jejím vyjmutím z potrubního systému.
Zavřete uzavírací ventily a uvolněte plnicí tlak přes odvzdušňovací ventil.

a) Nesprávný plnicí tlak. Nastavte podle části 4.3 Plnicí tlak.
b) Poškozená membrána.
Voda uniká, jestliže je odvzdušňovací
ventil stlačený dolů.
Vyměňte GT nádrž.
c) Netěsné potrubí. Zkontrolujte a opravte potrubí.

4. Installation
Kontrollér følgende før montering:
• Svarer specifikationerne for GT-beholderen til
ordren?
• Er de synlige dele intakte?
• Er det maksimale anlægstryk lavere end eller lig
med det maksimale driftstryk for GT-beholderen?

4.1 Løft af beholder
Øverst på store beholdere er der en påsvejst
flange/møtrik hvor der kan monteres et løfteøje.
Når beholderen er på plads og fastgjort til gulvet, kan
løfteøjet fjernes.
4.2 Placering
Montér altid GT-beholderen i afgangsledningen så
tæt på pumpen som muligt.
Montér GT-beholderen i et frostfrit rum. Det skal
være muligt at inspicere GT-beholderen fra alle
sider. Luftpåfyldningsventilen, vandafspærringsha-
nen og afgangen skal være tilgængelige, og typeskil-
tet skal være synligt.
Montér GT-beholderen så der ikke overføres spæn-
dinger fra rørene. Hvis der er risiko for at der opstår
vibrationer, anbefaler vi at montere GT-beholderen
så vibrationerne optages.
Vi anbefaler at følge disse trin:
1. Løft og placér GT-beholderen.
2. Ret om nødvendigt beholderen op
(horisontalt og vertikalt).
3. Fastgør GT-beholderen.
4. Tilslut rør og fittings.
5. Kontrollér/justér fortrykket.
6. Start pumpen eller applikationen.
Yderligere belastning fra rørinstallationen eller
udstyret er ikke tilladt.

Precharge Instructions:
1. Turn the power and water supply off, then turn on a tap to drain the tank before
adjusting precharge.
2. For a pressure switch controlled pump with a differential set up to 30 psi (2.0 bar),
the precharge should be set to 2 psi (0.2 bar) below the cut-in pressure.
3.For a pump controlled by a pressure switch with a pressure differential
greater than 30 psi (2.0 bar), electronic controls or variable speed controls,
the tank precharge should be set to 65% of cut-out or max system pressure.
4. For pressure tanks installed on main pressure, the tank precharge should be set
equal to the main pressure.
5. For hot water expansion applications, the tank precharge should be set equal to
the system ¿ll pressure or the main pressure.

Gulvmontering
Store GT-beholdere skal fastgøres til gulvet med
bolte. Brug bolte, spændeskiver og møtrikker der
egner sig til overfladen på gulvet eller bundrammen.
Brug alle bolthuller i bundrammen når du fastgør
GT-beholderen.
Beholdere med fodstykke af stål skal monteres med
de medleverede beslag; beholdere med fodstykke af
plast skal monteres gennem boltehullerne i fodstyk-
ket. Ved fodstykker uden boltehuller skal der bores
fire jævnt fordelte huller i fodstykkets kant.

Vægmontering
Små GT-beholdere op til 33 liter skal fastgøres til en
væg eller lignende.

4.3 Fortryk
GT-beholdere leveres fra fabrikken med et fortryk.
Se beholderens typeskilt. Fortrykket skal indstilles
efter den aktuelle applikation og den installerede
pumpe. Fortrykket skal være lidt lavere end pum-
pens starttryk.
Anbefalede fortryk:
• 0,9 x sætpunkt for pumper med fast hastighed
• 0,7 x sætpunkt for pumper med variabel hastig-
hed.

4.3.1 Justering af fortryk
Justér fortrykket som følger hvis det ikke passer til
applikationen:
1. Sluk for pumpen. Åbn den nærmeste hane så
aflæsningen ikke påvirkes af anlægstrykket.
2. Fjern beskyttelseshætten.
3. Kontrollér fortrykket med en egnet trykmåler.
4. Luk luft ud eller tilfør luft efter behov for at justere
fortrykket så det er lig med det anbefalede for-
tryk.
5. Montér beskyttelseshætten for at forhindre at der
siver luft ud af beholderen.

4.4 Kontrol af anlægget
Der skal være et bypass på GT-beholderen hvis
anlægstrykket overstiger GT-beholderens maks.

4.5 Afspærringsventiler
Vi anbefaler at montere en afspærringsventil i forbin-
delse med GT-beholderen.

4.6 Maksimum driftstryk
Pumpens maksimale driftstryk (p2) plus det aktuelle
tilløbstryk (p1) må ikke overstige GT-beholderens
maksimale driftstryk (p3). Se fig. 8.

4.7 Sikkerhedsventil
Montér en sikkerhedsventil. Indstil sikkerhedsventi-
len til at åbne ved eller under GT-beholderens maksi-
male driftstryk. Dette vil beskytte GT-beholderen og
andre komponenter i anlægget. Sikkerhedsventilen
bør monteres ved GT-beholderens tilslutning til rørin-
stallationen og have en kapacitet der er lig med pum-
pens kapacitet ved maks. driftstryk.

5. Vedligeholdelse
GT-beholderen er vedligeholdelsesfri, men vi anbe-
faler at kontrollére den for skader to gange om året:
• Er der synlig korrosion?
• Er der synlige ridser, buler osv.?
Kontakt nærmeste Grundfos-selskab i tilfælde af
alvorlige skader.

Die Grundfos Membrandruckbehälter GT-H, GT-C,
GT-D und GT-CF werden für den Ausgleich von
Druckschwankungen in häuslichen und industriellen
Anwendungen eingesetzt.

2.1 Verwendungszweck
• Der Membrandruckbehälter GT-H ist für den Ein-
satz in Kaltwassersystemen bestimmt. Die hori-
zontale Ausführung des Membrandruckbehälters
hat eine Grundplatte zur Montage einer Pumpe.
• Der Membrandruckbehälter GT-C ist aus Kunst-
stoff gefertigt und für den Einsatz in zahlreichen
Anwendungen geeignet.
• Der Membrandruckbehälter GT-CF mit
FlowThru-Technologie ist ebenfalls aus Kunst-
stoff gefertigt und für den Einsatz in Kaltwasser-
systemen bestimmt.
• Der Membrandruckbehälter GT-D ist mit einer
Doppelmembran ausgerüstet und gegenüber
Chlor beständig.
• Der Membrandruckbehälter GT-DF mit
FlowThru-Technologie ist ebenfalls mit einer
Doppelmembran ausgerüstet.
