Mounting the router in a rack 安装设备到机柜
Use a mounting bracket to mark cage nut installation holes on the two front rack posts. Make
sure the mounting brackets are to be installed at the same height.
在机柜前方两侧的立柱方孔条上根据挂耳孔距标记浮动螺母的安装位置，确保两个前挂耳在同
一水平线上。
As a best practice, use mounting brackets and a rack shelf to rack-mount the router.
设备安装到机柜时，建议使用挂耳和托盘配合安装。
No rack shelf is provided with the router. Prepare one yourself.
设备不随机提供托盘，请用户自备。
Wear an ESD Wrist strap, and make sure the wrist strap makes good skin contact and
is reliably Grounded.
操作者需佩戴防静电腕带，确保防静电腕带与皮肤良好接触，并确认防静电腕带已经良
好接地。

Connecting the grounding cable 连接保护地线
Correctly connecting the grounding cable is crucial to lightning protection and EMI
protection. To guarantee the grounding effect, use the grounding cable provided with
the router.
设备地线的正确连接是设备防雷、防干扰的重要保障，请使用设备随机提供的保护地线
正确接地。
Installing MPUs/switching fabric modules/service modules
安装主控板/网板/业务板
The router supports hot swapping of MPUs, switching fabric modules, and service modules.
主控板、网板、业务板支持热插拔。

Installing an MPU carrier 安装主控板托板
To connect the grounding cable for a router installed in a rack:
1. Connect the building grounding facility to the grounding strip on the rack. Make sure the
rack is reliably grounded.
2. Use the grounding cable provided with the router to connect the router to the grounding
strip on the rack.
设备安装在机柜时，要求机柜已经良好接地，首先需将楼宇接地保护装置与机柜接地排相连，
然后使用接地线将设备与机柜接地排相连。

The router supports dual MPUs.
设备支持双主控。
Installing power modules 安装电源模块
To install two power modules for the router, make sure they are the same model.
设备安装双电源模块时，请保证两块电源模块的型号相同。

An SFE-L2 switching fabric module can only be used together with the RPE-X3 MPU.
SFE-L2网板仅能与RPE-X3主控板配套使用。

Installing an MPU 安装主控板
The router supports the PSR650-A, PSR1200-A, PSR650-D, and PSR1200-D
power modules.
设备支持型号为PSR650-A、PSR1200-A、PSR650-D、PSR1200-D的电源模块。
Install a minimum of one power module for the router. To ensure good ventilation
and prevent dust from entering the chassis, install a filler panel in an unused power
module slot.
为保证设备的正常运行，请至少安装一块电源模块，没有安装电源模块的槽位，请及
时安装假面板，以保证设备的良好通风散热并防止灰尘进入设备。
The router is provided with only one SFE-L2 switching fabric module. As a best
practice, install the switching fabric module in the right half of slot 2. To use more
switching fabric modules or carriers, order them separately.
设备仅随机附带一个SFE-L2网板，建议优先安装在slot2的右侧槽位，如需增加网板或
网板托盘请单独选购。
Installing a service module 安装业务板
Slots 2 and 3 support SFE-L2 switching fabric modules. To install an SFE-L2 switching
fabric module in slot 3, install a carrier in the slot first.
设备的slot2、slot3槽位支持安装SFE-L2交换网板。Slot3槽位如需安装SFE-L2网板，请
先在该槽位安装SFU网板托盘。

Before connecting a power cord, make sure the router is reliably grounded.
